I re-read the entire Narnia series so I could immerse myself in the world. I didn’t re-watch the earlier movies but I wanted the spirit of the books in me.
That's a great quote from the NarniaFans interview by Mr. Arnold. Really looking forward to hearing his score. I have a feeling that it will be excellent based on a few preliminary comments by people who have heard some of it.

There is definitely no "a" in definite.
The Mind earns by doing; the Heart earns by trying.
GlimGlum,
I was similarly excited when I read that quote from Arnold! If nothing else, I am excited to hear the score!
"Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed."- CS Lewis
I actually think Underwood would be good for doing the Narnia song. At least it will be better then "The Call" which ruined the end of PC.
Btw, does anyone think Underwood could have pulled off Lilliandil.
Winter Is Coming
For my part, I dislike modern pop songs being interjected into movies whose stories don't match our modern period.

I actually though that Regina's song was brilliant in the movie...
I really am looking forward to see what mr. Arnold did with the score! Though I'm very sad that Harry left, I think that he'll do a great job as well. His Interview with Narnia-Fans really encourages me
David says:
As the story opens and end in with strong Narnian connections before voyaging into the unknown, I bookended the film with Harry’s Narnia theme. It works beautifully of course and also I play it when Aslan appears as he is the anchor both spiritually and emotionally so Harry’s music reminds us of that.It also helps as there is so much new stuff in this film to ‘hold hands’ musically with the previous two movies. I spoke about it with Harry as we are friends and he was pleased that we were including his work as often it doesn’t happen, but I am aware of the effect his music has on those who care about these films and I think it would be churlish and ignorant to dismiss it as anything other than essential.
I can't wait to see this movie although there are gonna be some big changes and I'm so looking forward to listen to this great Soundtrack!
Still 30 days to the Royal Premiere in London where I will be a very lucky guest

It's probably not in order of appearance in the film. Soundtracks do that sometimes.

Because Lucy rips the page out of the magician's book, and then has her "temptation" moment later on whilst aboard the ship - at least that's how it has been in a lot of the plot summaries.
yay! I love the track titles! so so cool! can't wait to hear it!

Track 9 is my favorite track from the film. It really enhances that scene.

I have seen the film! It is great!
Boy, oh boy! I cannot wait to start hearing the score in about a month! I think it will be very interesting to listening to "The Green Mist" and "The Painting!" I'm positive that David Arnold's score will fit greatly with the movie!

*headdesk* Duh! Thanks for pointing that out, icarus!

I'm not terribly familiar with Arnold's film scoring, but I was tremendously encouraged by the fact that he reread the entire series before beginning work. Now if only the filmmakers would do that too.
@ bookwyrm- he did? good on him!
I came on this thread becuase I am currently listening to the EMD performance of 'there's a place for us' and, well all I can say is how disappointed I am I'm wondering what the general reaction from narniawebbers who've heard it has been?
Grief for the movies made me abandon narniaweb...but I'm so glad to be back!
Many thanks to the wonderful Lady Eowyn for making my sig/av.
