A book about the history of how the sunflower plant, a crop cultivated by Native American tribes, found its way to Russia during the reign of Peter the Great and became extremely popular there because the Russian Orthodox Church allowed for sunflower oil to be consumed during Lent and other fasting periods.

(This is true... I have a lot of really nerdy food knowledge tucked away. LOL )
