(OH cool!)
...two things. A bookshelf - not a particularly nice one, and made from a kit, but it's been mine forever and has a lot of memories attached, like the fact that the top shelf was made to be the exact right height for the tallest member of my childhood toy horse collection.
And more recently, my Art Desk, a glass and metal construction I got for Christmas one year which can adjust desk angle to be like either a table or an easel.

What is your favorite flower? Do you have any strong memories connected to it?
There are a few that I rather like or have special meaning for me, but I'm going to go with grape hyacinth - it's always exciting to see it pop up in the spring.
If you had the opportunity to step through a portal into another world, would you take it (and why or why not)?
Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
I would, because I'm a bit crazy and feel like my life is a bit mundane at the moment!
What is your favourite thing to eat for breakfast?

Savory things. Currently probably a toss-up between loaded omelette (Shred cheddar, ham and/or sausage, mushroom slices, either diced onion+bell pepper or a little bit of chunky salsa, salt and pepper to taste) or the savory pastries from the nearest independent donut shop - especially fond of the boudin kolaches and the spinach and feta filled puff-pastry lattices.
What is your favorite dessert?
One of my favorites is blackberry sour cream pie.
Are you planning to garden this year?
Christ is King.
...Probably not much. We might plant some herbs in boxes, but no big digging projects.
Given a choice between coffee, tea, or cocoa, and assuming it's a nice version of each, which are you taking?
As much as I love hot cocoa, I'm a coffee girl. Give me a high quality dark roast and don't add anything to it.
Do you like tomatoes?
Christ is King.
Yes! Or at least, I like many, many things which are made of tomatoes, both fresh and cooked. I'm less enthusiastic about having them as a stand-alone product.
When it comes to churchy music, do you feel a stronger affinity for old hymns, or modern praise? Why?
Depends. Usually the older hymns, as they've stood the test of time — a lot of modern praise music comes across to me as shallow and clichéd and sometimes possibly more about showing off than glorifying God. But then there's plenty of modern church music that's incredibly beautiful as well, and some older hymns can be terribly stodgy, so... (And new tunes for old hymns, or new hymns to old tunes, can be very refreshing as well.)
On the same subject... Do you have a particular favourite hymn / praise song, and if so, which one and why?
"Now you are a lioness," said Aslan. "And now all Narnia will be renewed."
(Prince Caspian)
...It's kind of a newer one as far as hymns go, but I have a huge soft spot for "Canticle of the Turning," inspired by the Magnificat. Partly because my current church does a lovely rendition yearly as part of their Advent services, and partly... I spent a long time worried that "Justice" meant the same thing as "Judgement" when it came to God's nature. That God was sort of lurking around waiting for us to break a rule so he could smack us down. I only recently began to realize that Justice can mean something closer to "Fair Play," as well - that when Amos says let justice roll down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream, it's not a threat, but a vision of hope. God who is good shall one day set the world aright, and take the badness and the injustice and the systems upholding oppression away. And I feel like this song embodies that. It's one long cry of "Lord you are Good, and you can use the little things you have created to bring about your Goodness."
....anyway.
What is your favorite holiday, and how do you like to celebrate it?
My favorite holiday is Christmas. The way I celebrate is by waking up early in the morning and waiting for everyone to get up, then we open all the presents and give out presents.
Have you ever watched the TV show merlin bbc?
"Why, Sir,’ said Lucy. ‘I think – I don’t know – but I think I could be brave enough.‘”
Yes, I have, though I never finished it.
Do you have books you like to read during a certain season?
Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
Hmm...Never thought about that, actually. Though it'd be very fun to try! Personally, I would reread old christmas picture books that was read to me when I was really young during winter. Brings back lots of memories.
Would you rather have more hours per day with a fewer amount of days in a year or fewer hours per day with more days in a year? And why? (Sorry if that's confusing, I was trying to think up something original )
"But even a traitor may mend. I have known one that did." - (King Edmund the Just, Horse and his Boy)
It depends on what the extra hours were used for - assuming the usual number of work hours in year stayed the same, I would rather have more days with fewer hours each, I think. (Good job on coming up with something original, @KingEdtheJust - that was a tough one!)
If time and money were no object, what's an area of interest that you wouldn't necessarily want to work in but would like to study?
Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.
Probably literature or medieval history. But I much prefer working with my hands
On the topic of work...
what is your favourite AND least favourite part of your job (or field of study if you're a student)?
