Hi all,
Glad to hear that you are doing ok Aslan's Country! I am praying for your country's recovery. It's been a busy week between work and home, but it's been a good week :) Trying to find some time for reading, but that is rather difficult to do at the moment. Hmmm, don't have much to update this week:)

Wrong will be right when Aslan comes in sight / At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more / When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death / And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again

Happy Saint Urho's Day everyone! (What? You've never heard of St Urho, who drove the grasshoppers from Finland? For shame. ;) )

('Tis also my 'baby' sister's 45th birthday today! :) Her return from the hospital was delayed by a rather large blizzard that hit the day after she was born).

Also, has anyone heard from Riella yesterday or today? I'm concerned about the radiation possibility in California.

Her profile indicates she was on yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon. (While there has been some concern regarding radiation reaching the US West Coast, California officials have indicated there's very little risk of it crossing the Pacific).

I have a few questions...how do you get involved in the ditto stories?

Is there a specific story (or stories) you'd like to join? Check out the first page of the thread for any specific details, along with the Ditto Town Lexicon and the Town Hall (Section Rules) for general info on role-playing. Then, post in the Cavern Tavern that you'd like to join. Once you've gotten a reply and created your character(s), you're good to go.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Hello everyone, I'm feeling a bit slow for being on NW for a few months and finally understanding how ditto town works :D Anyways, hi :-h

Lu, I'm in Cali too, and there hasn't been any nuclear radiation so far. I was watching the news and they're saying that there probally isn't enough to give anyone any posioning of any sorts... plus Stargazer's articles sounds pretty legit too... Personally, right now it seems like something similar to when swine flu and 2012 was a thing to worry about, people are going out and buying iodine tablets and stuff like that, preparing for the worst, when it's somewhat overdoing it... In addition, even though I'm pretty sure the situations are a bit different, I'd hope that scientists have learned from history with nuclear explosings (Chernobyl) and hopefully prevent something like that from happening again, especially in a country who's witnessed some pretty nasty nuclear stuff already. (glad to hear that Aslans Country ok though :-bd)

In other newssss...... what else is going on in the world? St. Patricks day is on thursday... that's about all I can think of at the moment

Yes, I'm still alive. :p

A big, warm welcome to all our Square Newbies!!!
I hope you don't find it too confusing in here, but I know someone is always ready and willing to help if you get stuck or lost. :)

Let's see, what's been going on with me?
Not much. I've been making a TON of graphics the last few days (some could argue, weeks). Those of you who have been hanging around the Non-Narnian graphics thread, or the FA, can attest to that. ;))

Ummm... yesterday went somethin like this:
-slept in til afternoon (*slaps self*), cause I had been up too late.
-got ready to go to church
-At church we ate supper at six, had the service at seven, and then adult choir practiced for about an hour starting at like, eight?
-got home, watched the last fifteen minutes or so of the new Criminal Minds episode. And then watched the new episode of it's spin-off show (Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior)
-worked on graphics and goofed off on facebook

And now we reach today. I would have attempted sleep, but knew I'd wake up in the afternoon again... and I don't wanna do that. So I'm going to try to make it the whole day without napping. 8-| Hopefully I can make it til bedtime before I crash!! But falling asleep at night will hopefully get my sleeping schedule back on track.

Hmm... what now? More graphics? (sick of me yet? hehehe) Try to write? (nothing's coming at the moment) Watch a movie? (if so, which?) Play our Wii Fit Plus? (am I awake enough for that?) Chores? (do I really wanna do that this early?)

Ok, I'll pop in later. I suppose you'll want to know what I decided upon. Have a great day, people!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everybody! This morning, I got myself and my son all greened out:) This has been a so-so week for me. I've been dealing with some extended family issues. Have cried a great deal over them, but have prayed about them and feel a lot better today. I have been catching up on my reading, which is always awesome for me! Got my son to bed early last night and I got caught up on a Marie Antoinette bio I am reading and got to bed early myself. Today is a bright and sunny day and I think it's going to be a spectacular day! Hope everyone has a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!

Life is.. pretty scary right now, obviously. But at the same time I'm incredibly grateful for all I do have. (And yes, I realize you couldn't possibly have known about the dramatic turn my life was about to take when you asked that question. :p )
Pretty much. I was born here, and every 4 years we take a year "off" /:) in the UK, so I've spent 3 years total in Northern Ireland as well.

Wow! I'm glad you're doing okay! I saw a lot of pictures and footage from it, and it looks like it was pretty scary. :( So glad you're doing okay! I've been praying for those in Japan.
So have you ever been to the U.S.? Where were your parents from? Do you have any siblings, I forget? Culture differences are fairly interesting to me. I mean, in the U.S. I can go two states away and I can almost feel the change in culture. 😉 We moved three hours drive south in our state, and even here the culture seems different. It's weird. :)
Anyway- glad again that you're okay!

How is everyone? :D

o.O You guys talkin' about me in here? ;)) I'm okay so far, although there is radiation coming, along with a possible earthquake. :( *wants to leave* Lucy! you're so sweet for worrying about me! But remember, I'm always just a PM away! (I try to check/answer my PMs every night ;) )

What's this about a Team Hobbit? :-

Happy St. Patty's everyone! Can the Scottish girls like me celebrate it as much as the Irish girls/guys?

AC, how is everyone doing over there? Are you guys safe from the radiation? :-s *has always been paranoid about radiation even since childhood*

Riella! You're back! :D (You seemed not to post much in the past few days)

I've seen in someone's sig something about Team Hobbit and I was wanting to possibly join.

Oooh, Riella, you're Scottish? Lets see: 5 ft tall, hobbit-y ears and hair, Scottish...you must be related to Pippin! :D I looked in the chart at the end of RotK and found that Pippin had three sisters, on of whom was named Pearl- which name I shall now use for you as you seem to be Pippin's twin (you even said that you have the female version of his facial features)! :D

Lu :)

^^ Aww thank Lu! :) I love nicknames. And since we're NW siblings, that would make you my sister as well. Shouldn't you have the name of one of his sisters too? :D

Good idea! I will consult the charts and see which one I should be! (BTW, Pearl is the oldest, so that works! I guess I should be the next oldest?) The other two sisters are named Pimpernel and Pervinca. :) Pip's the baby of the family, lol! ;))

*waves at everyone in the Square*

Hullo, everyone! I've been a bit busy exploring the other places in Ditto Town, so I'm very sorry about my long absence. I don't have the time or energy to do a ketchup post now, and it's been so long now that I don't even remember what we were talking about. But rest assured that I have been popping in to read the posts, and I've missed all my Square Onions!! How are you all doing?

Ithilwen & Lucy of Narnia, I was about to request that I be allowed to join Pip's family too, but then I realized that his sister's names are Pimpernel and Pervinca. I'm not sure if I want either of those names! ;)) Although, if it meant being related to Pippin and you two, I would be able to manage somehow. ;) Actually, my good friend and I actually nicknamed each other Sam & Pippin. (I'm Sam, so feel free to call me that if you want - I'm used to it! ;) ) I just love hobbits, and I've always related to them because of my short stature! ;))

Well, I'm off to go unload groceries, but I'll be back! :D Good mortereve, everyone!

Hello everyone,

First let me assure you that I am doing very well. I'm on spring break right now and to quote the movie While You Were Sleeping, life doesn't always turn out the way you planned it. I didn't exactly plan my spring break, but I wasn't really expecting well...everything that's happened.

For the most part I've been at home, which isn't bad. It's just extremely quiet. The majority of my family left for the second half of the week, leaving my mother and younger two siblings at home, one of which is very sick. My youngest brother came down with a really bad stomach flu. He has a weak immune system and so when viruses attack him, he gets really sick. Right now, we've been struggling to get him to eat. All last week he was throwing up and so his stomach's shrunk, he's lost a lot of weight, and food in the stomach makes him feels sick (he usually throws up what we feed him). He's doing better now that he's on medications and he's keeping down most of what he eats (which isn't a lot)...but it's been a really exhausting week for my mother especially.

She's been busy taking care of my brother. And then I've been busy doing everything that she can't get around to (cooking, cleaning, etc...) It wouldn't be half bad if my other siblings were here, but for the most part it's just been a really lonely hard week. And to make it even lonelier, our stupid internet hasn't been working until just last night. And even then it's only just, which means it only comes on when it feels like it. Sigh.

As for the weeks prior to spring break, everything else has been going really well. I'm glad to say that my Chemistry exam on thermodynamics was not a total catastrophe. I felt pretty good about it...doubt I passed it with flying colors, but I expect I passed. :) And then my dance class had a really wonderful performance at a beauty pageant. I love performances, they make me want to dance more...I've been extremely restless over spring break. Gaah.

Choir practices have been going well. We've learned like six different pieces--we're all progressing way faster than last fall which is a huge achievement. The guys especially, they're starting to overpower the girls. Instead of having to tell them to sing out, the directors are having to tell them to tone it down so that the audience can hear the girls sing. :P

Piano lessons have also been going well. I just finished plowing through the first movement of my very first Mozart Sonata. It's kind of lame that I've never played Mozart until now. I really love his music though, it's extremely natural for me...if that makes sense. I'm also playing "Beloved" by Tenth Ave. North which I love. It sounds so good on the piano. The music is in six over eight time, which makes it tricky...I don't know why, but that meter doesn't fit well in my head.

And...that's about all that's been going on in my life lately. I'd really appreciate it if you could all pray for my brother and my mom and everyone else in my family.

I'm sorry that I haven't been on in a while...like I said, I've been busy and our stupid internet decided to die on us this week. :( Hopefully I can get on later and write a nice catch up post. For now, God bless!

Love, Dani

*pops in* 'Ello all!! It's been quite sometime since I was last here. Life has been rather hectic with preparations for my upcoming missions trip and schoolwork. Due to my grandmother's death and long sickness, I'm 3ish months behind in school, so no Summer break as of now for me. I'm still going to be around here, but I might end up spending more time away from the computer than normal during the school week.

Anyhoo. Just wanted to say hello and tell ya'll that I didn't drop off the face of the earth. Hope ya'll have a great week! :)
