MountainFireflower, I'm doing good How's the "Battle at Lover's Lookout" going?
*waves to Silver and Miss Rosario*
Ah I just had my first biology test... I hope it went well...
Other than that same normal stuff going on The birds are starting to return here... which is exciting

Hey there, Fireflower! It sounds like you've been busy. Eek. Hope you get your laptop fixed soon! Having a defective computer is a pain.
*hugs Rosa* Hello! How are you doing?
Yeah, we've been pretty busy... babysitting is kinda my life.
I actually haven't been lacking in computer time, but I'm missing my laptop all the same. My graphics program was installed on it, so now I can't make any graphics. My creativity is suffering, but other than that, I'm doing fine.
MountainFireflower, I'm doing good How's the "Battle at Lover's Lookout" going?
Oh, I'm glad. We miss you at the Castle. The Battle is going well - well, as well as you can expect for being a Battle. Currently I'm invisible and riding on a gryphon.
And hooray for the birds coming back! That hasn't happened yet here, but I can't wait till it does. I'm getting spring fever already.
(And please, feel free to nickname me. )
Well, I'm off to be studious. Good mortereve!

*waves to wolfloversk* Hope you did well on your biology test! I have a history one tomorrow that I'm really worried about. And yes, I know right? Spring feels like it's just around the corner! It was so warm today.
I've been surviving, Fireflower. Life has been pretty hectic lately. Babysitting, eh? I babysat my neighbors' kids two or three times last summer. And here I thought our house was crazy.
Oi. That's too bad. I've never been into making graphics much myself (maybe that's a good thing - I don't think I have the time for it), but I have always wanted to learn. It sounds like fun!

I know. Haha! I really want to rewatch part of North and South though. I saw it one or two weeks ago, but I feel like I missed some stuff with pausing and restarting it all the time. So there's a few parts I want to watch again.
And you're stressed? Aw! I'm sorry! I'll pray for you.
True. "Ours is a high and lonely destiny."
Hehe.
Silver: Nice cake.
*HUGTACKLES Queen Susan* Heeey! How are you doing? Having a Happy Valentine's Day?
Hi!!! I'm doing pretty good! You? My Valentines day went well... We went to the Orthodontist, about a 40 minute drive... when we arrived they apologized because they weren't able to reach us on the phone... and their doctor had an emergency or whatever... So we had to reschedule. I didn't mind too much, because I wasn't looking *forward to the appt. And we got free cookies. Hehe.

Hey ho, it's snoooooowwwing again! Narnia snow.
And ah yes, "sozy clippers" brings back such memories, doesn't it? And of course, "Ozycay Ipperslay." Good days, good days.
Oooh yes, Kingskid and his Pig Latin. (I miss him in the Square.)
The cake of Frodo and Gandalf is amazing. I don't think I would eat it if it were mine. Too cute to ruin.

Yes, The Rose-Tree Dryad, that "Project Gutenberg" is a fascinating website! I think I first heard about it from The Black Glove.
Haha, love that camping cake!
Cooool Peanuts drinking glasses Pattertwigs Pal! Yep, a Peanuts fan here.
I've had fun, now and then, trying to point out the rabbit in the moon to people I observe with. Usually kids can see it more easily, perhaps because they're not so used to seeing a man in the moon.
Last night was the full snow moon and, being clear here, I got a good look for the rabbit ... and saw him! I hope I'm seeing him rightly: he looks like he's holding some kind of ball in front of him. And when I picked him out last night, I do recall looking for him a few years ago too. It's really fun to think of the moon in that different way (than the Man all the time).
I think it's so neat that the girl from China relishes the night sky and is interested/curious enough to ask you questions.
I'm a rooster, I guess, but I won't crow about it too loudly.
Bwahaahahaha! I'm not sure what I am. *looks it up* I'm the, uh, dog. Woof-woof. You're a dragon, stardf. Now, that's quite cool-io!
I prefer Up as well. I think part of it in my case is that my parents (and even me) are getting old enough that the musical montage at the beginning really resonated with me.
Likewise with me. That first 20 minutes or os of UP was so moving ... and without hardly any words spoken.
*waves to johobbit and gives her a ginormous hug* How have you been doing, Auntie? It's so great to see you on the Square!
Wonderful to see you too! And Valia as well! *happy sigh* How I appreciate all you Square Onions.
She is doing very well, almost completely healed now, which we're all very grateful for.
I'm really thankful to hear this.
Heehee, Silver, I'm not a huge fan of the film Wall-E, but I do like that cake! Can you imagine the work that went into that?!
Mmmm, MountainFireflower, thank you for those Valentine chocolates. (Don't let the Royal Lady get to near them, though. They'd be gone in a split second. )
wolfloversk, is your "Hallooo" a couple of posts up to represent a wolf's call? *loves the haunting call of those beautiful animals*
I tried out Jewish dancing once.
Jewish music is just so cool. And to dance to it would be such fun!
A 40-minute drive for free cookies, Queen Susan? Were they yummy enough to be worth it?
After a couple of mild days when a good amount of our snow melted, it got colder (with severe winds) last night and snowed much of the morning. So gorgeous. And we're expecting another good dump tomorrow evening, wooooot!
Well, 'tis a long weekend in both Canada (and the US, I believe), so ... enjoy!

*does a bit of pathetic catchup* I think I lost a few conversations. But hello, everybody!
Happy birthday and many happy returns of the day to the February birthday peoples! You're in good company!
A good friend, who knows me very well, gave me a T-shirt that reads "Movies: Ruining the Book Since 1920"
Want. That's all that needs to be said about that.
...[ I ] been rather thrilled over a website my mother told me about called Project Gutenberg.
I love that site! There are so many good books there that I usually only go looking for a particular one. But sometimes I come across one at random. Google E-books are pretty good as well--often they have pictures which fills my wee heart with glee and delight.
*waves back to Valia* I'm doing splendid, thanks! How about you?
Pattertwig's Pal and Valia, isn't it The Spiral Bridge and The Haunted Fort? In the Hardy Boys series? Not that I have the original of either of those either, but...
*munches on the mini eggs provided by jo* I didn't get any chocolate this week...

It looks like the big storm just missed us, and will drop a couple feet of snow on the Twin Cities instead. We got about 6 inches and some "thundersnow" this morning. Cool stuff!
Glad you were able to spot the Moon's rabbit, jo! I was out last night with my brother-in-law and niece to spot the ISS, but missed it. By the time the Moon rose later in the evening, the sky had clouded over in anticipation of the storm.
*echoes birthday greetings to those in the month of February*
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Mortereve, all!
Decided I would stop by for a bit and say a little hello. How are you all doing? I've missed the Square...
Today was interesting: it rained a lot and was terribly chilly and foggy. My sister and I walked from church to our parents and then decided we were in the mood for a cinnamon roll and a cup of hot cocoa so we went out back in the rain and puddles (and just the day I decided to wear ballet flats for the first time this year instead of my nice black rubbers!) and got our goodies. The carry-out bag was soggy, but the cinnamon roll was safe & the hot cocoa was just the right temperature when we arrived back. However, my feet were practicallly mops with my drenched socks, and my glasses very dewy. It was worth it though! Then we came home to find our kitchen a little flooded.
Yes my life is relativley in some points quiet and things like this are just worth sharing to me.
Silver, that Wall-E cake is too cute! By the way, you had a birthday recently, right? A very happy [belated] birthday to you!!!
I love your avatar by the way--are you a kitty crazy person as well?

Happy Lord's Day, everyone!
To quote the adorable three-year-old blond in my church: "This is a bootiful day!"
Or more like was a beautiful day. It's nighttime now.
So, yesterday, I spent two hours writing for a Creative Writing audition for a summer Arts camp. I think it went pretty well. I didn't feel too good about my writing, but ah well. This Saturday I'm auditioning for chorus for the same Arts camp. I'm super nervous! I'm singing "Greensleeves". It's in a weird Dorian key...so some of the intervals are wonkie, but I've sung through it several times and I feel mostly confident. I'm sort of freaking out right now, because everyone's getting this cough! And I'm terrified that I'll lose my voice Saturday! *biting nails*
It feels like spring. It's so beautiful. Today has been eye-opening in hundreds of ways. Well, this post will be rather scanty of content...but I'll do my best to catch up.
And I'm curious to see how FMA goes on. So far, it hasn't been particularly intriguing (mostly all back story), but some of the characters are fun and we're only a half-dozen episodes or so in.
I've heard that the original FMA TV series takes a long time to get to the plot...if they ever really do get to the real plot. Apparently, the original series was sort of re-written by the author of FMA, because her books weren't popular at the time and she felt the need to alter the plot to make it more interesting. But then her books got super popular and people started wondering why the TV series was so different...and so they made and alternate series Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
I've heard Brotherhood is way closer to the book. We're watching it right now and so far, they've been doing much better plot-wise and really well with all the characters. If you start getting tired of the original...I'd watch Brotherhood. FYI, Funimation put Brotherhood on YouTube. It's completely legit and everything.
*waves to Elanor* This Valentine's Day, my brothers and my dad made us ladies a splendid dinner. They decorated the Dining Room and waited on us all evening. It was sweet. Usually they make us breakfast, but this year since we were all busy Monday morning, we did dinner.
*GLOMPS* Silver* I knew there had to be someone else on here who had heard of a glomp before. That's cool that your friends use it all the time. It is one of the awesomest words.
Miss R! I just finished reading Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire and I've started reading The Order of The Phoenix. Also, I watched "Chamber of Secrets" the other night with my sister. I have to say, I like it a lot better than the Azkaban movie. The first movies seem to be much more colorful, like the books. I think they focused too much on the plot in the third movie and made it a bit too creepy...or at least, tried to.
My gymnastics abilities are quite nonexistent now. I can sort of do a cartwheel. And I used to be able to a backwards somersault. And I could do cartwheels over balance beams...but alas, no more. If you ever to Irish Dance, I suggest Ceilidh dancing. It's the traditional group Irish Dances, sort of like Square Dancing, only a bit more complicated and way more fun.
Queen Susan, that's too bad that you had to go to the orthodontist on Valentine's Day...but at least you got free cookies. How much longer do you have to wear braces?
*waves to johobbit, Mountie, Meltintalle, gazer, Bella(!! ) and wolfloversk*
I wish I had more time to write a better post...but ah well. God bless, everyone! Sleep tight!

Mortereve all!
Hm, interesting. Well, I learned something today! I didn't even know glomp was a word.
Yeah, a non-functioning air conditioner isn't very much fun, either. I'd have to agree with you: I would much rather have the heater stop working then the air conditioner. Hot weather and I don't usually go well together.
Well, I don't know if it's an "official" word. I could find it at dictionary.com or merriam-webster.com.
Yeah, fortunately we have plenty of heat, but it's no fun having no AC.
I totally agree - I won't enjoy the violence and stuff, but it won't scar me or anything (lol) and I'll love the movies. I'm certain.
Oh, let me see . . agh, I can't think of anything else, though I think I probably have.
Hmm. Well - I do think Pixar does a great job every time. You can tell that by the money they make!
Yeah, some of it definitely goes overboard, but the rest of the movie makes up for it.
Well, I know I've never seen him in anything else.
Sure, they always make good, quality movies, and they do well appealing to a large audience.
Wups. AidEn. The one person we know in offline life by that name uses two a's, so hence my mix-up. Heehee, I just thought of something: instead of Lucy Maud Montgomery's "Anne with an 'e'", you can be "Aiden with an 'e'".
Haha, sounds good. I played Mr. Phillips, the teacher, in our Anne of Green Gables play, so I would know about leaving off the "e".
Every few days we get several inches. But I love it! It's also quite cold which, aside from the fact that it prevents us from getting "snowball" snow, is very fun! It got down to -4°F last night, and I spent a while outside enjoying it.
Ditto. DiTtO. DITTO!
Sadly, we haven't gotten any snow in a few weeks, and it's been very warm lately. In fact, it's 57°F right now! But, we are supposed to get a bit more snow before winter's over.
You know, I was thinking, NN, if you ever changed your avvy and sig, that would be nigh catastrophic!
Ha, I changed it once, and there was quite an uproar, so I changed it back.
I watched some of it, and was glad the cheese won. I think I liked some of the ads better than the game itself, though. I like football to a degree, and love an exciting game as much as the next person, but most of the time I find it just gives me a headache.
Yeah, we were rooting for the Packers, too. Which ads were your favorites? Aw, football gives you a headache, eh? That's too bad. Is there another sport you like watching better?
You sound like my brother! He would go around in a t-shirt and shorts when it's below freezing outside if we would let him.
Well I don't know if I would go out in a t-shirt and shorts! But I never dress very warmly.
Out of those I like the Incredibles, Monster, Inc, and Ratatouille the best.
Hey, those are my favorites as well.
I watched it with my dad while visiting them. We enjoyed the game; it's a lot more entertaining when it's fairly close and the outcome isn't determined by halftime. A few of the ads were good too - the Darth Vader Volkswagen one is probably my favorite.
I agree with that! Now, you're a Vikings fan, right? So you're probably too fond of the Packers.
Yeah, a lot of people's favorite was the Darth Vader ad. My favorites were the Bridgestone Reply All ad and the Coke with the two soldiers marching their post.
I prefer Up as well. I think part of it in my case is that my parents (and even me) are getting old enough that the musical montage at the beginning really resonated with me.
Yes, I've heard that from several people as well, and understandably so.
I can't believe no one on NarniaWeb has ever been glomped before! I feel so proud, being the first to glomp anyone on the square. I'm sure someone at sometime got glomped by somebody else...
Yes, I'm sure it's happened before, but this was the first momentous occurrence.
For some reason all my experiences with 3D movies have been bad ones. I sometimes like slow-paced movies, depends. I didn't dislike UP, but it wasn't like I loved it either.
Yeah, that's not uncommon. True, slow isn't necessarily bad, if the movie is interesting, but Up never seemed interesting to me.

A 40-minute drive for free cookies, Queen Susan? Were they yummy enough to be worth it?
No. They were good; a little too much frosting for my taste... but not worth the hour and a half in the car. I got some reading done on the way though.
Jo: Almost whenever it snows I think of you and how much you would enjoy it.
Bella: I love your avatar! It's so pretty!
Ruby: Hm... A year and a fourth? Doesn't seem like very long too me. If it's two years then it'll be about that long... But I'm not sure *exactly when they'll come off...

Oh! And exciting news... My younger brothers' Lego team won the State competition for the 2nd year in a row!!! They might be able to go to some higher up competition thing in California in May... And I put those words in bold for fun.. and to attract attention because it excites me.

Hello all!
It's been awhile, but I've been super busy. Staying up past 12:00 every night, getting up past 11:00 every morning. Yesterday our play ended, which is a bit sad. I'm going to miss it, and all the dear people. But it'll be good to get back to normal.
*waves to Ela* Aww... I'm sorry. Stress is no fun. Praying for you, dearest!
*waves back to Mountie* Despite being even more busy, I'm a lot less stressed. Thank you, dear!!! *hugs* How are you doing?
When is your play, Elanor? Hopefully you'll be able to relax soon -- stress is no fun. Do you have Monday off next week?
It was this last weekend. And yes, now I'll be able to relax, at least for today, which I do have off. Yay!!!
I know. Haha! I really want to rewatch part of North and South though. I saw it one or two weeks ago, but I feel like I missed some stuff with pausing and restarting it all the time. So there's a few parts I want to watch again.
I finally did it, and watched the last scene in N&S again. I couldn't stop myself any longer, and now I won't have to watch it for awhile. Golly, I love that movie . . I understand that, it would be uncomfortable to have missed some parts.
And you're stressed? Aw! I'm sorry! I'll pray for you.
Thank you. *hugs* I'm much better now.

Greetings, SquareOnions!
'Tis nice to be home! I spent the weekend visiting my parents, who live about 2 hours south of here...at least that's the travel time when the weather cooperates. But between an inch of ice and up to 20 inches of new snow over the weekend, it's not quite that easy. But it sure is pretty outside.
Now, you're a Vikings fan, right? So you're probably too fond of the Packers.
Or perhaps, NOT too fond of the Packers. There's quite a rivalry there. Yet, especially among older people around here, there are some Packer fans - I think they were football fans before the Vikings franchise appeared here 50 years ago.
But since the Packers represented the Vikings' division, it didn't bother me much that they won.
Yeah, a lot of people's favorite was the Darth Vader ad. My favorites were the Bridgestone Reply All ad and the Coke with the two soldiers marching their post.
Those were amusing as well. The 'plush prison' Audi ad was funny too.
To quote the adorable three-year-old blond in my church: "This is a bootiful day!"
Awww, isn't it cute when little kids say things like that!
Or more like was a beautiful day. It's nighttime now.
