*as usual has absolutely no time for catchup... *
Yo, folks! Passing through, wanted to say hi. I peeked in yesterday but didn't say anything. I'm still alive and doing fairly well. Missing Dad today, but friends are caling me, and I've got the ol' chat room keeping my busy!
See yas!

Hello all! Another nice long catchup on track here . .
But first - last night I went with one of my best friends who I haven't seen for almost two months, to see VDT for the second time. It was loads of fun, and though I didn't like it more than I did the first time, I loved it equally as much. What a great movie . .
And that's what happens when I take too long to reply . . so many posts have gone by, that I have to write in names. lol . .

It's on my "to read" list for 2011!
That's great, tell me when you read them, and what you think of them! I'm so happy when people read them.
I actually, seriously loved hearing about your writing - very cool. I'm a bit of a copycat in writing as well, though I try to overcome it. I think it's a problem most people have.
A play! Oh, I wish I could be in a play! What's it called? I'm not doing much but hanging out today...and wishing to see VDT again!
Have you never been in a play before? lol, just kidding. It's Annie Get Your Gun. It's not the play I would have picked to be in, nor is my part, but I think (I hope) it will be fun. So far its just kinda boring . . .
You have to go see it again!!
Cool, I love nicknames! Is Elanor your real name? I love that spelling of it! I once had a character who I was kind of real life role playing w/ some friends and her name was Elanor.
No, Elanor isn't my real name, though it would be kind of cool if it was. Oh, that's awesome! How fun!
Elanor, that's cool that y'all sang Auld Lang Syn on Christmas. I love that song.
It was cool, and lots of fun. (My poor parents who were trying to sleep . . lol).
Oh, we're talking about LoTR favorite characters, are we? Books or movies? I've only read the books, so I love - Aragorn, and Gandalf. I like lots of others, but I love those two. I also like Eother.
*waves to Queen Susan* I love love love your avvie!!!!!
Fun times! Except our noisemakers were the kind that don't actually make noise - they unroll and then roll back in when you stop blowing. So it was a relatively quiet midnight. We had noisemaker fights with them instead. I was just thinking of
Oh, that's cool. It would be fun to use that kind sometime.
Did you stop in the middle of a sentence, here?
I've started a journal and promised myself that I will write in it in every single day of this year, and I'm very forgetful about stuff like that, so it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. I've always wanted to keep journals before, and have from time to time, but I never could keep it up.
That's awesome! I've been keeping a diary since I was around 7, and I really love it. I wish you luck!

Two plays. Must. Have. More!!!
And yes, we do have to see VDT again. Not especially eager at the moment, but fits often catch me, fits of irrepressible longing to see Eustace Clearance Scrubb spit at Edmund! Or speak of his constitution! Or...or...you get the point!
I feel sorry for Smeagol/Gollum in the book. But I don't like him.
I think from what little I read in the book that he was even more pitiful in there!

It's great that you could drop by, JillPole! I haven't seen you in awhile.
That's awesome about visiting the Everglades, Ben. I went there awhile ago. I don't remember much from the trip, other than the amazing wildlife and the accidents that occurred, but I do recall the beauty of the landscape. Gorgeous area.
Yes, Lucy of Narnia, I do have several nicknames. The most common are as follows: Rose, Rosa, Miss R, Miss Rosa, Rosario... Rosie... and other versions of the afore-mentioned. Feel free to come up with something new, however, if you wish. Others have done so, and I always enjoy extending my list. And as for yourself, it looks like you go by Lu?
A monster energy drink does sound terrible for you, Ti. How dare you consume such a thing. (...sarcasm...) Speaking of fire departments, the one in town just had a local breakfast a bit ago. They host them periodically, serving pancakes, drinks, and sausage. It's quite good actually.
All right, and with that I'm off. I need to try to get some rest before tomorrow. Good mortereve all!

Radagast, I love how you gave yourself the name of one of the Istari! Where did you get the picture for your avatar? Is that a real picture of Radagast?
My former avatar, I actually found it on Google. I think it is from one of the Lord of the Rings Card Games. So I guess it is a real picture of Radagast. And yes, I love the Istari. Gandalf is my favorite character in Lotr by far, and I loved Radagast's cameo in the books.

I don't believe so. I'm Lia or Melian.
I've started a journal and promised myself that I will write in it in every single day of this year, and I'm very forgetful about stuff like that, so it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.
Hmm... I've been keeping a journal since I was 12 and I'm still not even half way through the notebook. I'll hopefully be more inspired now that I've been given 3 new journals for my birthday.
So who all in here is a LotR fan? And knows that Frodo is the best hero ever and that Pippin rocks
I'm a huuuuuge LotR fan, but I don't really like Frodo all that much. Sam is my favorite Hobbit. However, Pippin rocks my socks, probably because a really good real life friend calls me Pippin.
Now, I have to ask as my sister and I are arguing over this. Which is better (or your favorite): Aragorn or Eomer? I like Aragorn.

Hello all! *Waves*
Ok, ok, I'm sure y'all are getting tired of this, but I'm so sorry for disappearing again! It's just that real life keeps holding me hostage! I mean, I've had school (and Christmas Break, but you know how that goes between get-togethers with friends/family, shopping, youth retreats, and resting there's just no time for NWeb!).
Anyways, how's everyone doing?
Well, that's all for the moment, so see y'all!

Melian_Maia , I like Aragorn better. Always did like the Frodo/Fellowship plot more than the Eowyn/Castle-ish plot.

It seems I'm in the same category as Winty here. Why is it that breaks are always busier than the actual school year? Actually, my break hasn't been all business as you can see from my previous catch up posts. But my New Year's was hectic.
Our cousins visited us, which is always crazy. Both of our families are huge! Altogether, there were 18 people in one house for three days. Craziness! But it was tons of fun.
And then after the cousins left, our church hosted a youth retreat. More craziness! And more fun. I was duly exhausted after both events, so I've spent the last few days sleeping in. And today I'm in denial of the fact that school is starting up again. I am anything but prepared. And I'm thinking it'll take a few days to get into the swing of things again.
Anyway, how has everyone on NarniaWeb been doing in my absence? It seems that we have even more new people on here! Yays! Here's something for y'alls enjoyment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgEg0wpia8M
I threw it together really quickly one evening and so it's pretty obvious I didn't do the best at the singing. Could have done better. But ah well.
Well, I have to get off now and get back to work. God bless, everyone!

Mortereve all!
Wow, it seems like forever since I posted. Well Christmas break is over and we're back into our regular routine, so I should be on more. It's good to be back.
Well, there are over ten pages to catch up on, so I imagine I'll be doing a lot of skimming.
Hmm . . books? Movies? I always love those topics!
What are your favorite's, of both? I'll just do books right now. I love LoTR, that's definitely my number 1. It gives me chills the entire time, and it's fantastically written! Howls Moving Castle is also a favorite, though it can't compare, IMO. It's so funny and sweet! And The Count of Monte Christo. That's just an amazing book! Definitely worth the length. And I like Ella Enchanted a lot. =)
Sure, sounds good!
Well, of all those books you've mentioned, I've only read LotR, and of LotR, I've only read the first book, so I guess we don't have much reading in common! I enjoyed it a lot, but haven't gotten around to reading the rest, which I fully intend to do. I enjoy mystery, so Sherlock Holmes is a favorite of mine. Besides that, and Narnia, I doubt there's anything else I enjoy that you would have heard of.
Oh, I know what you mean. I'm so happy that I can post on here tonight.
How have you been? Enjoying the holiday seasons? Is there anything that you're especially looking forward to this Christmas?
Yup, I haven't been on in a couple weeks, but I should be back to posting regularly, now.
I've been well! Yes, I always love Christmastime. Um, no, there's wasn't anything I was particularly looking forward to at Christmas. I do enjoy getting to see our family, though.
Wow, Sonny, I'm sorry to hear about your dad! Praying for you!
There seem to be a lot of new people popping up in the Square. Welcome, all!
I borrowed Aiden's idea for the quotes on this.
Haha, well I got the idea from someone else, so I can't take the credit for it.
Indeed! Do you have a lot of snow up there right now? I'm rather sad that we don't have any yet. It's supposed to rain tomorrow though.
We had a bunch of snow right around Christmas, but since then we've had several warm days and *looks out window* there's hardly any snow left.
It took me a few minutes, but I did find our quoting conversation. Here was your last quote:
"I haven't the foggiest!" NT2.
"I think you overdid it on the perturbed look, but otherwise it was good." Come What May. That line fits with yours in my head, and I hope it goes together for you as well. If not, my apologies.
Good job finding it!
"Oh, that's not at all patronizing, is it?" PC.
Hopefully we're over it for the time being, and just in time for Christmas.
*nods* Same here. I've pretty much had everything spoiled for me as well. My brother and I are actually finishing up season 3 right now - we're on the last two episodes and I'm dreading what will happen. While I can't say much about Season 3, Season 2 is definitely worth your time and it's my absolute favorite. Season 1 was great but not as good as Season 2.
I know, it's so ironic. I love the sense of humor on this show - so many of my favorite quotes come from it.
Oh yes, Will has a better role in Season 2. I didn't like him much in Season 1, but in Season 2 he's a lot better.
Well, that's good to hear! So, how was Christmas?
Ha, I don't envy you watching the end of Season 3. I absolutely will not watch it. I've heard differing reports on Season 2. I imagine I'll eventually watch it if I get the chance.
Yes, same here. My friend and I are always quoting it.
That's what I've heard.
Hey, Bella, good to see you drop in! Ti'ana, good to see you as well! You both should come by more often!
*skimming, skimming*
Well, that about does it! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and has a great New Year. Mortereve!

That's awesome about visiting the Everglades, Ben. I went there awhile ago. I don't remember much from the trip, other than the amazing wildlife and the accidents that occurred, but I do recall the beauty of the landscape. Gorgeous area.
I saw one deer down there, and then hundreds of alligators. I did not realize how cool alligators were till this trip. Do you remember what wildlife you saw?
Were there a lot of accidents?

I had a good time. It snowed overnight the day before we left, and that was a lot of fun. I'm back to school on Monday, though.. on my birthday.. I'm sure it'll be a great day.
Ooh, everyone is talking about LOTR? Fun. As for me, I've always been a fan of Sam, but if I think about it properly, the reason people don't tend to like Frodo is probably just because the Ring corrupts him so much. Especially in the movie, where he betrays Sam completely (I despise that change ), it doesn't make him particularly likeable. Sometimes I think he deserves more credit for what he actually does. Also I love Aragorn, because he's just awesome like that.
I think laziness is the main culprit behind my unproductivity. Usually I'll go through periods of laziness until some creative spark gets me going again. I guess I'll just have to wait for the spark. Ugh, exams! I am not looking forward to those.
Oh, and I'll let you know what I think of Inkdeath when I've finished it.
Completely. I've been trying to work all day and I know I'll be so much more focused when I'm two weeks back into school. I've finally read through my NaNo novel, and there's so much I could do, it's kind of overwhelming.. and not nearly enough time to spare for it. When do you have exams?
Finished, yet? (just kidding - it's a big book )
Oh, that's fine! The only nickname I can think of for you is Aslee - and I don't mind if you hate it.
lol. I don't know why that made me laugh. I don't think my username lends well to nicknames, somehow. On second thoughts, I actually kinda like it. Go ahead and use it if you want.
Good. Haha, I know, I feel the same way about TLDMRBTD - I do like a few songs off of there though, like Mood Rings and Pink Tux to the Prom. Oh, lovely, breakup songs? I like my silly Relient K the way they are, thank you. I guess I'll have to get used to the fact that they're growing up, but still.
*loves to ramble so she doesn't mind*
After I wrote that I actually went off and listened to the album (long car drives and such) and I have to agree that I kind of miss the silliness. Still, they've had both sides now.. I'm kind of interested to see where the next album will go. Hopefully somewhere good.
Okay, good. I feel bad when the quote is twice as long as someone's reply.
Oh, I'm so happy! I'm proud of you for picking it up again. How's it going? Feel free to ask me any questions you might have, though I am not an expert in the slightest.
That's fine, I have Jonas Brothers songs on my iPod, so...
Yeah, his songs ARE so catchy. They get stuck in my head all the time! I know. Obsessive fans over anything drive me crazy, but more often than not I end up BEING one...
But yes, Justin Bieber is talented, and it'll be interesting to where he goes with it.
It went really well this week - my fingers hardly hurt at all now. And today I was playing while looking through my notes for exams - don't let me tell you how productive that revision session was. xD I can't do bar chords properly, but my mum says that'll probably take a few months. Fun. But I can play in.. G, maybe? Almost. And D. I'll stick to those for now.
Well, then we're equal, I suppose.
Haha, but I expect you're an obsessive fan over things with worth.
lol, I just realized I called Justin Bieber "them".
I hope he can get out and use his talents more, in the future.
Yes, I know where you're coming from - it's hard for my family to make it to concerts, especially if we have to drive there. And one of my favorite bands, Stellar Kart, is coming to a town not too far from me... *sigh* I don't know if I can make it, but I'm praying really hard...
So you're not going to live in Japan forever? *is just curious*
Oh, that's okay, I'm skimming too. Yes, I have been enjoying it! What did you get for Christmas?
Aww, well I hope you can go!
No.. sadly. We're moving to the UK in July, and I'll stay there for university, presumably. My parents are missionaries, so it just works like that, and I've lived in the UK before, but it's still, I'm not looking forward to it. Too many good friendships to break.. having to go to a British school.. anyway, I know it'll be for the best in the end.
Christmas? Um, just this and that, really. Piano music for this composer I like, a book about music composition, other books.. a DVD, clothes, and such. Oh, and I got an iTunes card, which is always good. How about you?
Oooh, a Pixar Club? I volunteer to bring the snacks!
*picks up snacks and adds some cookies to the pile*
*loves "Anne of Green Gables" as well*
Yup, thankfully! LOL (My username was causing some problems.
Ithilwen is from LOTR, actually. It's the Elvish word for moon.
Oh, okay, then I'm glad you could change it.
Oh, cool! *loves LOTR and didn't know that * Is it actually used in the books, or not? I've always thought it would be cool to actually look at some Elvish words, but never really got into it. Hey, could you teach me some?
Yes, AC, I have watched the rest of Harry Potter already. I'm sure I'll be able to see Deathly Hallows as soon as it comes out on DVD, though that isn't half as fun as seeing it in the theater. Ah well. I don't really care how I watch it, as long as I get to!
Oh, it would be awful if you couldn't watch it. Yeah.. seeing it on DVD looses a bit of the impact, but not too much. I don't mind it, anyway. *waits impatiently for the DVD to come out, despite having seen it twice in the cinema*
*waves to Aslans Country*
*waves back* I am impressed by the amount of waving you did in that post. And why is it that when I see you in here now, I tend to think of Veggietales?
had an awesome idea for a post, based on There's a Monster at the End of the Book but I think it would end up being a very conceited sort of post.
Aww, that just brought back a ton of memories! I wish you would've done it. Actually, I can't remember too much of it. I can remember giggling over it hysterically as a kid.
I've started a journal and promised myself that I will write in it in every single day of this year, and I'm very forgetful about stuff like that, so it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. I've always wanted to keep journals before, and have from time to time, but I never could keep it up.
This was me, 3 years ago. I could never keep it up, until suddenly, I forced myself to for awhile, and I haven't stopped since. You really should - it's really rewarding to look back on afterwards, and it helps me work out my thoughts better. I don't tend to end up writing much about mundane things that happen in my day, just random musings about life. But anyway, that was just my way of encouraging you to do it.
*waves to Ben* Welcome back. Good to see you on.. your unicycle again.
(BTW, who else likes poor Smeagol??)
*raises hand, somewhat guiltily* I actually really like him, more in the movies, I think. After awhile he doesn't seem so much of a villain, except maybe in RoTK. But for awhile I only owned the DVD of TTT, so I kept watching that one, and liking Gollum. I feel sorry for his character. His relationship with Frodo is interesting, and how Frodo views him changes throughout the story. Also I find the idea of him having been a hobbit-like creature fascinating.
*comes in listening to Cielo by Phil Wickham*
You like Phil Wickham? I just started listening to his music, and I bought Cielo with an iTunes card from Christmas. It's so beautiful..
