Liberty, would you like to post pictures of your costume when you come up with it?
I might.....it depends on if I can get pictures of myself in the outfit!

Hey all,
I have a quick question and maybe a suggestion. . . .
Is this event for only folks who are involved with NarniaWeb or another Narnia forum? Or could I invite folks to join via my blog?
It would be cool to maybe make it into an online event -- Like Maid Marion's Wardrobe - A medieval Fashion Event at AmandaBeth Online this past year.
This may not work the way it is set up, but it would be cool to have it done that way, with different categories folks could enter and then voting for the best.
Just a thought.

GracefulRose, this is definitely for anyone who wants to participate, even if they don't have internet at all. That'd be great if you invited people through your blog! The Maid Marion event was really fun to watch, though I wasn't able to participate. Something like that would be great! I'm not sure about making it a contest, though, that might change the focus.
Well, I'm glad you've joined, Rosenquartz! That's neat.
I hope you can, Liberty!
I left Narniaweb for inexplicable reasons in the beginning of June 2010 and probably will not be returning (much as I love this place). So if you're wondering why I disappeared, now you know! (sort of...)
This sounds awesome could someone please tell me when this takes place
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
The date is April 25th to celebrate the start of the Inklings.
I hope you can, Liberty!
I plan too!

Here are some photos of my cape. My sister, Lizzle, also has made a cape and will be participating in Narnia Style Day. She is in the photos as well.
To tell us apart: I have longer, light brown hair, Lizzle's is shorter and dark. Also, our capes are different. Most noticeably, hers has a brown lining, mine is a gray/beige color.

Backs - on this last one, Lizzle is L, Adeona is R.

Under the capes we're just wearing our every-day clothes- not costumes!
Thanks to those here on NWeb who encouraged me to make it! And to DancingPrincess Miley who took all the photos.
If these take too long to load, let me know and when I get a minute I'll try to upload smaller versions!

Happy Narnia Style Day everyone! I hope you all are able to participate and have fun.
Adeona, what beautiful capes! Lizzle's looks like hobbity and yours looks elfish. You did great jobs on them and they look very practical and nice. Thanks for posting pictures!
Unfortunately, I and my family are not able to go anywhere in Narnia apparel today because of how things have turned out. We girls did style our hair Narniaish for church and either wore Narnia-inspired or 1940's inspired outfits. We tried to mimic Susan's costume when they first went to Narnia in LWW for my younger sister, but we couldn't get the stockings to stay up so we had to use ducktape. That stretched the stockings so much that the ducktape showed through and looked terrible so I had to colour it in with a Sharpie. 'Twas very fun. Nobody noticed her cool outfit though. After getting home we changed into our actual costumes--most of them makeshift. I love getting the little boys dressed up using too big t-shirts with the sleeves rolled in for tunics and all that neat stuff. I get to wear my sister's amazing Renassaince costume because she's wearing my green costume (which I wore last year) and my other two sisters are wearing my other costumes, so that is really nice.
Sorry I can't take any pictures--my parents have our camera.

Happy Narnia Style Day!!
PM me if you would like be part of a Lion Party in the state of New York!
I wasn't able to dress up really because of church and all, but I wore a shirt that looks sort of Narnian and I wore my Peter shield necklace!

Avvie,sig:me!
I wish I could post pictures but the dress I got from a theatre company and fixed up a little was a little bit low along the chest area. I'll post a picture of the dress soon without me wearing it.
The top is sort of a redish color and the long dress is a orange/pink mix color. It looks better then how i described it though.

On Narnia Style Day Lizzle and I wore our capes into Costco after church. We had a good time, but we were a bit upstaged by the saffron orange-clad Bhuddist monk shopping at the same time...
I also wore a long purple skirt with a rather Narnian print.
We are planning on having our own NSDay this Friday, since we weren't able to do actual costumes Sunday. We are working on some good ideas and will try to get pictures Friday.
