When Disney was on board with the Narnia films they had Ben signed on to be in the Silver Chair . At least that`s what I heard. I think he would be fine. In an old article I read somewhere Ben expressed an interest in playing Caspian as an old man. The film makers would welcome the idea . Its easy continuity . It saves them the trouble of finding another actor . Ben has a great deal of experience now so he could play a convincing older Caspian. It would be wise to keep him around . Fans like the familiarity of having an actor return to play a character they find endearing. Like you said the scene is so brief they might as well let him have it.

He almost has to return. If for no other reason to play young Caspian at the end in Aslan's Country. Since it's likely he'll return for that part why not have him do the rest of Caspian's scenes? I hope he comes back :)

I forgot about the brief appearance of Caspian as his younger self. It`s been a while since I have read the Silver Chair or watched the BBC series. If the film is going to be made I imagine he would come back. He speaks fondly of the character in interviews if that counts. After all he owes his flourishing acting career to Narnia . Taking up the role of Prince Caspian is what started it all.

I hadn't heard this yet, but that is a good sign. I am SUPER excited for the Silver Chair (hopefully) being on the big screen. I like it much more than VDT and PC.

Can someone refresh my memory please.
Does Caspian make an appearance in The Last Battle?

Yeah, he's one the people who greets the Friends of Narnia in Aslan's Country at the end of the book. I think it'll be pleasent to have him do a cameo there! ;)

I have a 100% garantee in my mind that Ben Barnes will play older Caspian and yes play him as young Caspian too at the end. In that recent interview he sounded very ecstatic to come back and play an older version of Caspian. It felt reassuring and sincere that he will. ;) :D

I would LOVE it for Ben to play the old and young Caspian in SC! :)

Ben talked to BBC 5 radio yesterday about Birdsong, Dawn Treader, and the world premiere. He has an understudy but still plans to be in Birdsong on November 30! :( Ben will also honor WW1 and other British veterans on November 11! He'll read two war poems. :)

There's a new interview with Mr. Barnes. He doesn't say much about VDT except

Shooting Prince Caspian, the first film, was overwhelming. I'd never been on a major film set before, never been to New Zealand where it was filmed, never been horse riding – I was so anxious. This time I enjoyed it. This film is younger, more fun and it's easily the best story of the seven books. I saw it last week. Traditionally I watch my films through my fingers – I hate watching myself – but I loved this and I want millions of people to see it."

The entire interview can be found at the link below.

He seems to be Narnia's Golden Boy, LOL. That's good that he's so active abotu it, though. I am glad he is very enthusiastic for the series. I do believe this was a dream come true for him.

I can't wait to see Ben's performance. It'll be such a different role to play. Before he played a sort of boy and only a prince. Now he'll be playing a man and a king -- a king who must lead his people into some very dark territory.

Can't wait to see how well he does! :)
