So my first reaction to seeing the logo yesterday, is that to me it looks intentionally incomplete... probably so it could be put on the back of a director's chair. I suspect it will be a good deal more dressed up for the official film.
My second thought is that it looks (and I'm not quite sure if this is the best word to use) organic? Like the hills of Narnia springing to life as Aslan is singing?
What do you all think?
To me, (based on no substance but gut reaction) the text reminds me of logos for comedy movies and movies that are fun and light for child audiences.
The term is over: the holidays have begun.
The dream is ended: this is the morning
Actually I liked the Walden Media logo better, but since I probably won’t watch the movie anyway I won’t have to look at it.

Yes, that's what it looks like to me too. It's certainly different from the more traditional logos that have been used for previous adaptations and book covers. May suggest that this film is going to have a completely different aesthetic (which we already know is likely). It's unusual, but I quite like it and I'll be interested to see what the actual production is like. (I still suspect I won't like it overall, but I can't tell that until I've actually seen it.)
"Now you are a lioness," said Aslan. "And now all Narnia will be renewed."
(Prince Caspian)
My thoughts are in line with your first thought @fantasia. At least I hope it's incomplete anyway, otherwise it appears rather dull and boring. I'm okay with the font, but it just needs to be more Narnia-ised!
*~JESUS is my REASON!~*
It’s not terrible. It’s missing the chronicles of, which we already knew. It kind of reminds me of a rock band’s logo. I miss the Walden one now. It just seemed more majestic. That’s just my opinion. Without the tail motif, and rumors going around that Aslan might be ethereal, it might be a deliberate choice. Maybe I’m reading too much into it. Thoughts?
