Everyone- All of those things sound so awesome. I can totally get why they'd make your day.
Boy Scout, I know that feeling well. It comes with high school graduations and stuff too. Just keep in mind that your family and friends are super proud of you, and that you have tons of cool new adventures ahead of you.
...........
Some things that have made me smile lately:
1) I get to go to camp this year! (some might not get that, but I was real close to missing out this year, so... yeah. UBER RELIEVED right now )
2) skype calls with Narniawebbers!
3) seeing friends in person, that I haven't seen in awhile
4) VBS starts THIS WEEK! (on the 4th)
5) I found out that two of my playhouse friends are going to college nearby... I'M NOT LOSING THEM!
6) rewatching old favourite movies
7) good food (reubens, for example)
8) the weather is nice!
9) the Les Mis trailer!
10) I got time alone in the house yesterday
I totally agree with you about the Les Mis trailer Princess Anna
Dancing walz to Once Upon a Dream at a ball . I was very lucky to get a partner that knew how to dance the waltz, because I didn't. But by the middle of the song I got the hang of it, and the rest was a blissful dream

This post will be about all things CAMP related:
-Seeing old friends after a year apart.
-canoeing and/or skipping rocks on Lake Erie.
-playing mexican train dominoes at night.
-good bible studies and devotions.
-new experiences that could turn into inside jokes.
-bringing up old inside jokes!
-ice cream from the country store.
-learning new skills/revisiting old ones.
-hugs from little kids (or just hanging out with them in general)
-good food, three meals a day!
-campfires!
-the horse swings.
-the sunsets over the Lake.
-playing with the doggies that live here.
-falling asleep faster than at home (cause you're worn out)
-knowing that Meltintalle will be joining us TOMORROW!!!!
hmm, maybe I should stop here for now.
Ok, it's been several days. I'm going again!
And it's really just a continuation of sorts. I mean, I'm home now, but there were lots of things happening that I didn't have time to mention as they happened!
more CAMP moments:
-Watching a six year old beat an eighteen year old at tetherball. Followed by watching the eighteen year old beat the six year old. Followed by the eighteen year old starting to walk away, and having the six year old yell out "Best out of three!"
-being beaten at tetherball the next day, by the same six year old. (he started off winning fair and square, but cheated at the end!)
-Having three whole days (plus a little time on two others) with Mel! (and seeing Jo for a short time, when she dropped Mel off!)
-swimming in the Lake
-watching the picture slideshow (almost) every night
-going to Anchor Bar for wings
-going on the Maid of the Mist boat ride at Niagara Falls
-learning a new game. in this case? a card game called "Village Idiot"
The following (bits of) conversations:
"That's how boys become men, ladies. Building fires." -Matt
(pm me, if you wanna know the context of that one)
"Let there be dark, and there was darkness." -our very own Meltintalle
"Daniel, come here!"
"How come you're over there?"
"Because you're not my only friend at camp."
"You have other friends?"
"Yup."
"Who?"
"Those people."
"Oh."
-me and a certain six year old
*I slam on the break pedal of the golf cart*
"MATTHEW!!!! You almost gave me a heart attack!"
"Well, at least we know the breaks work!"
"THAT'S NOT FUNNY!!!"
"Yay, I get a big chair! Last night, I got the short one. I'm already a hobbit, and I got the SHORT chair!"
"Did you just call yourself a hobbit?"
"Yeah."
"That's why we call her "my precious"."
-me and two of the adults, when getting ready to start playing Village Idiot.
"I might let you."
"Huh?"
"DUNK ME, duh!"
"Why?"
"I don't know. You've been more mature this week?"
*says something... I don't remember what*
"Once. ONE TIME!"
"That's a three letter word..."
"Huh?"
"O-N-E." (while miming dunking me, with each letter)
"Ha. Typical little brother."
"Now you're up to ten."
He leaves, I turn to Mel... "Maybe I spoke too soon."
-me and Andrew (a friend from church)
Finding the following note (by one of the preteen girls) in my 'mailbox'...
Andrea,
I love your smile. Show it more!! Just know to someone you matter. I love you.
.........
Oh, and as if being there wasn't awesome enough, I got the following news while there... MY SISTER IS NOW A LICENSED NURSE!!!! (yep, passed her boards this past week)
I'm sure there was more, but I'm going blank. Gosh, I love the positive-ness of being there! Moment after moment of lovely and funny times. (not perfect, by any means... there are bad moments too. but as I see it... that place is as near to perfect as I can get, before heaven)
Playing with my little brother.
