What's making me happy today? Well this first thing is yesterday's, but I'm not over it yet.

1) I can't really take pics backstage, but I asked a friend who'd be in the light booth if he could get some for me. He said yes... I thought I'd get a few. Nope, he covered the time from when the kiddos ran a few songs to tweak them, and through the whole rehearsal (clear to curtain call) Now, some didn't turn out so hot, but the grand total he took? 311!!!!!

2) I got a card in the mail today from one of the families from my church that recently moved.

So, yeah. Those are mine for the day.

Submitting my NaNo novel for the free copy; finally!!! YAY!

This is something simple, but I really love cats. My aunt has five of the sweetest ones imaginable (their mother was killed, so they were raised by my cousins), and they really brightened up my afternoon today.

Yay, Ela!!! I finished editing my novel, too. That really made my day. One novel down, one novel to go... oh yeah, and formatting. Yuck. Guess I should focus on the positives.

This is something simple, but I really love cats.

I love cats too! I have two, and usually when I'm sad, they make things so much brighter.

I got something in the mail a couple days ago, and handwritten letters always make my day. It was from one of my closest friends - she sent a sweet note and a souvenir she brought me from Disney World when she was there. It's a cute little necklace with Pooh Bear on it. It made my day and I've worn it everyday since. It may sound silly, but whenever I see my Pooh Bear pendant, it makes me all nostalgic. Pooh Bear holds great memories for me.

Also, reaching new post counts always brightens my day a little - this is post #1700.

Mine all I have to do with the playhouse, but what can you do when one is there EVERY NIGHT?!

1) Having little kids come up and hug you.

2) Seeing the look on Bryce's face when everyone sang happy birthday to him tonight. (and when we had to do it again cause someone had a small cake for him)

3) Just the things that happen backstage. For instance, dur- wait a sec, I need to back up. Ok, the last verse in the last song (Interjections) goes like this:

The game was tied at seven all, uh-huh, when Franklin found he had the ball. He made a connection in the other direction, the crowd started shoutin' out interjections! ("Aw, you threw the wrong way!" "Darn, I just lost the game!" "Hooray, I'm for the other team!")

Ok, well, when Bryce (who plays George, who was being Franklin) threw the football, this is what I heard in my headset:

Lizze: "Guys, I just took one for the team."
Kyle: "It hit you?!"
Lizze: "Yep"
Kyle: "Just be glad it wasn't the clock" (meaning the clock from the opening scene)
Me, after regaining my composure from laughing: "Hey, Kyle, by the way... have you managed to walk into the moon again?" (he'd done that the other night)
Kyle: "No, not yet."

And a million other little things, that would take too long to write down. (half of them I probably can't even remember!) Have I mentioned that I LOVE working backstage for this show?!
