Recongnizing a new constellation...

Sorry , I wasn't too clear on that one. I meant that I can only identify about five constellations, and when I figure out a new one, that's a big thing! Usually it happens once I've been able to consistently find the same star formation. Then I look it up, and see, "Oh! So that's Orion!"

Another thing that makes my day: making a graphic that I feel really looks good.

~the cooler feel of approaching Autumn
~a bar of smooth chocolate
~a crisp apple with just a tinge of tartness to it
~walking in the woods, with leaves crunching beneath (to come, yet, this fall)
~daily resting between the paws of the true Aslan
~reaching out to someone who is going through a rough time
~music that is so beautiful, it makes my soul ache with combined joy and deep longing
~the hymn "Be Still, My Soul"

Recognizing a new constellation...

Ditto, Adeona. I have recently (in the past few years) become fascinated with, and so appreciative of, the night sky again, and am still learning the constellations. I finally figured out Leo this past spring. I could usually spot Regulus, but it took me quite a bit of time to pick out the lion. And now, next spring, I'll probably have to refresh all over again.

It takes continual practice, doesn't it, but is so rewarding when a constellation becomes familiar, like an old friend.

What makes my day?

Getting to talk to people about something, anything, really, as long as it doesn't pull me down.
Writing something, anything at all.
Getting on NarniaWeb for my Narnia Fix!

Going to lunch with someone and talking about books.

Going shopping with just my mom.
