That an NYPD homicide detective would recommend this show is high praise indeed!

It is, especially since he didn't just watch any police show out there these days. It had to be good. :p It helps that they have actual NYPD helping with episodes too!

I find it hard to choose a favorite Reagan because they make such a good ensemble together. Really good casting.

Indeed! They couldn't have chosen better, to be honest. They're all perfect in their own way, which makes it hard for me to choose a favourite!

I definitely like Erin. There's just something about her character that makes me like her. Since she's a lawyer she has different views from the family and it's kind of interesting to see the different opinions on law enforcement matters because of it. What's funny is that my mom and sister can't stand her. :p They think she's too uptight and mean.

I also like Frank, too. He's been through so much in his life, but he always is there for his family. I love some of the things he's taught and said over the past few seasons. He wants to do what's right. Honestly, he's somebody I'd just love to sit down and talk with. :)

As for Jamie's partner, I'm not sure yet. She seems to be alright so far, but I guess I need a few more episodes to figure her out. :P It gets kind of annoying throwing him from one person to the next.

Spoiler
I was finally starting to like Vinny when they decided to kill him off!

What did you think of the past two weeks' episodes of Blue Bloods? (I'll wait until my next post to write my thoughts on them... otherwise this post will be far too big!) :p

Anyone catch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. the other night?

Spoiler
The woman burning up was insanely creepy. The other thing that really shocked me about this episode was . . . Coulson got mad.:-o I was so used to seeing him as the calm, quiet guy that I was quite shocked when I heard him shout.

Three questions, guys...

1) Is anyone still watching Haven? (Booky, I'm especially asking you)

2) Has anyone caught that newer show on the CW? (The Tomorrow People. I think it's a remake of an older show?) I only saw the most recent episode, but I must say it was fascinating. And I can't wait to look into this more. (I always was a sucker for stories about superpowers :P )

3) Did anyone see the latest episode of Supernatural? Wow.

Man, I need to get caught up on the stuff on my DVR! It's full to the brim again, and it's driving me nuts! (besides, once I catch up on the stuff I have, I can look into other stuff! :D )

Heeey everyone :) Haven't been here in a while : I was just wondering if anyone here is watching (or watched) "Once Upon A Time"? I just discovered it recently, and have gotten hooked! I'm only on the first season, but I was windering if there is anyone out there watchig it too, and if it's worth watching. Like it doesn't get weird latter on :)

De_de, I've seen the first two seasons of "Once Upon A Time" and the first few episodes of Season 3. What do you mean by 'weird latter on'? It involves fairy-tales! I enjoyed the first and second seasons but the third is proving to be verrry slow and not terribly exciting, I hope that changes soon.

Princess Anna, I've seen the first two seasons of "Haven" and I'm waiting for Season 3 (I reserved it at my library). It's a fun series.

I'll ditto W4J regarding Once Upon a Time. The first two seasons were really fantastic. This season's been moving slowly, and I hope that they change that in the next episode or two. I didn't expect this plotline to take so long. However, they seem to be moving things toward a resolution, so I'm excited to see where they go from here.

I'll also echo these comments about Once. I quite liked the first season's unusual takes on familiar tales, and the various settings of season 2 were also to my liking (also the frequent switching from one place to another, reminiscent of LOST).

I'm less excited about this season's overarching plot and how slowly things are going. Having said that, I liked the latest episode, "Ariel." In some ways its twists on the familiar Little Mermaid tale reminded me of the fun of season 1.

Did anyone see the latest episode of Supernatural? Wow.

Are you referring to the one with Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz? I did catch parts of that. (I've seen very little of Supernatural but found a familiar actress in this episode - Felicia Day, who plays Charlie Bradbury, also played Holly Martin in the last season of Eureka).

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Recently a few of my favorite TV shows have been, The Walking Dead, Heartland, Once Upon a Time, and 19 Kids and Counting (aka The Duggars). 19KaC has been inspiring me a lot to be more Christian-like and loving to me siblings. I've always known about it, but recently it was put on Netflix, so I've been marathoning it. (; Really recommend it if you have Netflix!

Warrior, I'm not sure how much I've seen of Haven. But I've probably seen more than I have missed. It's pretty interesting, isn't it? :) I'm curious what you'd think of the current episodes...

Yes, that's the one.

I recognized her from Eureka too! (speaking of... the final season of that is a roller coaster of emotions and craziness. I've watched some of it on DVR recently) I think she's guest starred on Supernatural a few times, actually. Isn't she pretty popular in the sci-fi fandom or something? I see her name mentioned a lot.

Felicia Day is very popular in the land of geekdom. She does a lot in the gaming culture. I first saw her work in the web series, "The Guild". She's amazing, and it's not just her red hair!

Sorry about that...

Yes, I've enjoyed "Haven" so far. "Haven"'s not crazy good like "LOST" or "Fringe" or something similar but it's consistently fun and the cast have great chemistry. Also, the unique location makes for an interesting series. But it seems Stephen King's penchant for horrible preachers continues.

I have been watching the tv series The Borgias recently. I would not recommend this series for anyone under 16. It is very violent and contains mature content. I know it is accurate an is only based but what people did for power in those times was extreme. I guess it is still the same in some countries today however which is the sad thing.

On another note the costumes are great and so is the setting.

That's what I thought. And oh, I think I've seen a little of that before! I think I heard of it somehow, and decided to see what it was or something.

But it seems Stephen King's penchant for horrible preachers continues.

Yeah, wish that would change. But the setting and idea is interesting. And yes, it's no Fringe (I can't compare it to LOST... I haven't seen enough of that), but it's still pretty good. And yeah, the cast has great chemistry. :)

Speaking of Stephen King books turned tv shows... have you heard of or seen Under the Dome yet? That's an interesting show, as well.

....................
In other news, I wish I wasn't SO far behind for Once Upon a Time! I want to be able to discuss it with all of you... and can't. (I got behind before season two, and wanted to go in order. and because I don't have Netflix or the dvds... yeah. 8-| ) I fear I may not get caught up on that show unless I somehow get the dvds...

Yes, I read the first half of Under the Dome several years ago and have watched the first season. It's good but the scripts have too much telling at times.

I'd agree about Under the Dome - it was enjoyable enough to watch but didn't grab me like some other shows have.

And in a walk down memory lane, the G4 cable network is rerunning Heroes and LOST in order. Heroes started off great (but was quite violent) but lost its way (last night they aired the last 2 episodes, which ended on a cliffhanger that is unresolved as the show wasn't renewed).

This was followed by 2 episodes from one of my favorite seasons of LOST (season 5). That show certainly had its ups and downs but I was impressed again with how good the writing was at this stage. Still, both of these shows are heavy into plot continuity from episode to episode and even over the whole series, which allows for some excellent storytelling but makes it very hard for new viewers to get up to speed. I know I would have been lost ( ;) ) last night if I hadn't already seen the whole series.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
