I have been watching a bad education by jack Whitehall. I would recommend i if yo are into British comedy shoes. It is like the inbetweeners but less crude.
My thoughts on my hows this week:
Once Upon a Time: A better episode than the premiere. I thought the backstory was kind of blah, especially given the
Sleepy Hollow: A good episode. It was fun to see Abby and Jenny talking again and to have a bit more of a dynamic going with the two of them and Crane. I hope they continue to utilize that trio. I just wish the captain would make up his mind about how he feels about Abby and Crane getting all these weird cases.
SHIELD: Another good episode. I get the feeling the origin story aspects are going to be part of the season's arc, but it's a bit difficult to tell if they have a season arc or not, as everything's been sort of monster-of-the-week so far. I'm looking forward to the next few episodes and digging more into the character's pasts and personalities.
Once in Wonderland: This was a good pilot episode (minus the cheap effects, especially at the end). I'm hoping they don't try to drag out various portions of the season's story and let Cyrus and Alice reunite before the finale. It makes the show more interesting if they can reunite sooner and have adventures leading off of Jafar and the Red Queen's plot (which is still a bit vague at this point; hope that clears up soon).
Korra: Oh my platypus, that plot twist at the end!

I don't think I've ever been in this thread before... at least not from what I can remember. Forgive me for asking, but is this only for talking about recent shows on TV, or everything in general?
To make this post relevant, I like watching murder mysteries/police shows. Also, I don't think I watch much current television at all, so most of what everybody is talking about will probably make no sense to me, so I'm kind of hopeless.

I've seen all sorts of TV shows discussed on here, new and old. So I'm assuming it's all TV in general.

Time for this week's run-down, I guess (sans Legend of Korra, as it's not aired yet and I won't see it until tomorrow anyway).
Once: This was a much better episode all around than the previous one. The flashback was more interesting and raised a lot more nuances and questions. There's not much else I have to say about it. I'm looking forward to this Sunday's episode, as
Sleepy Hollow: A very decent episode, and with the pleasant surprise that they had Middle English being spoken onscreen for a good chunk of it (sprinkled throughout). The one downside to this English major geek moment was the anachronistic fail of having Middle English spoken by
SHIELD: A decent episode. I enjoyed seeing Coulson fight to believe the best of someone and do all he could so save her. The changes in his characterization from his initial appearances in the Marvel films to now were addressed in a nice way, and the setup for next week's episode makes me very excited.
Once in Wonderland: A better episode overall, and with some improvements in pacing and CG. I still am bothered by how much hair Jafar has. (He was all but bald in the cartoon, and I think that's a much better look for the character). Not much I can complain about except perhaps Jafar's overuse of the death choke. Once was fine, but three more times in a single episode is overdoing it. I'm glad they revealed what Jafar's plan for the bottle is (it bothered me a lot that they didn't reveal that in the pilot). My wife is bothered by the Rabbit's complicity in the Red Queen's plans, but I think the writers have a big ace up their sleeve in that plotline. I will say this for Wonderland: it's moving itself along quickly and steadily. It should be an interesting season.
Legend of Korra: Ok, I will say that I am looking forward to this double episode a LOT. Reasons:
Is anyone else watching any of these shows? What are your thoughts? Likes? Dislikes?

I'm only caught up on one of the shows you discussed, so I'll share my thoughts on that.
Yeah, I think the "What's going on with Coulson?" storyline is probably the most interesting one so far, and I'm looking forward to them exploring that more.
I was a little disappointed with this episode, though, in that, like a lot of the other episodes of this season, it seems too... linear. Character development/questions seem to be relegated to either the very beginning or very end of every episode, and we basically just follow a fairly basic plot straight through the episode, not very many twists.SpoilerI still say he's an android/LMD. It's the theory that makes the most sense to me.Granted, it's only 4 episodes in; most of my favorite shows have taken at least half-way into first season to get really good, so I'm going to be patient.SpoilerThe twist that Amador was being controlled, rather than having gone rogue, was spoiled by the trailers.I still haven't seen beyond halfway through season 2 of OuaT, so it's going to be a while before I can comment on that. (I'm not planning on watching OuaTIW, not without hearing something spectacular about it.) Korra, at least, I'm on the right season for it. I really need to get around to catching up on that. I'm four episodes in; so far, I've been kind of disappointed, but I see room for improvement.

Being a fan of both OUAT and Alice in Wonderland , I decided I'd try out OUAT: Wonderland, despite the promo not looking very interesting.
The first episode was okay. It wasn't the worst thing I'd ever seen, but it was far from amazing. Normally I like to talk to friends and family about the things I see, but this didn't have very many notable things I thought were worth sharing.
Although the second episode still needs improvement, I thought it was rather awesome. Since there are far less characters to deal with, there is more time for all the character's development. Also we could spend more time on Alice's (and Cyrus') back-story = I rather liked how most of it (so far) was them talking to each other opposed to Snow's and Charming's, where it seemed something was always going wrong.
Another thing I really liked was none of the characters annoyed me that much. It sounds bad, but on OUAT there were a lot of times certain main characters had me going, "Seriously? Grr..."
I'm hoping we'll meet the Mad Hatter, but I suppose that's not going to happen since Sebastian Stan is busy with Captain America 2. I'm also hoping we'll see the Cheshire Cat again.

Due to real life intrusions I've not kept up on many shows of late, or have caught up via On Demand.
Wonderland: I'm with SummerSnow on this one. It's an interesting concept and while I've enjoyed it the show really hasn't blown me away. It was fun seeing Naveen Andrews as Jafar - I've not seen him in much since LOST finished its run.
Once: Season 1 is still my favorite. This year hasn't done much for me though I like the idea of
Korra - The show's direction this season surprised me a little bit, and I'm on the fence but still enjoying it. I'm also looking forward to the upcoming episode.
Blue Bloods - Anyone else watching this? It's my weekly dose of 'reality' as opposed to fantasy and the like. I like the show's emphasis on family and loyalty.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
I like Alice and Cyrus' story so far as well, Summer. I'm glad that the writers and showrunners aren't trying to simply clone OUaT. It's just going to take them a few episodes to get into their stride, I think. I'm also hoping for more Hatter and Cheshire. Both actors have already done fine jobs. I expect if we get any Hatter, it will be in flashbacks unless they bring Storybrooke into play more later in the show.
We watched this week's double Legend of Korra episode tonight. My wife said this was the first episode she really paid attention to so far in this Book, so that says something of its quality. We both really enjoyed the story and the revelations about the origin of the Avatar cycle.

Haha, Ithy! You have no idea how much I laughed when I read your answer. I can't believe I didn't think of LHOTP in the first place!
In answer to your questions.....
1. Hmmm, not sure on this one. I have many favourites! I'll get back to you on this.
2. Laura, hands down! I've always loved her character the most in the series, though Ma and the Olesons come in tied for 2nd.
3. Nellie will always be the original brat, so I say she's worse in the bratty way. Nancy can't really compare to her if you ask me, and honestly.... I think her character was more psychotic than just being a meanie.
Blue Bloods - Anyone else watching this? It's my weekly dose of 'reality' as opposed to fantasy and the like. I like the show's emphasis on family and loyalty.
So far, I've yet to talk to anyone who has actually heard of the show in the first place!

I am happy about the return of sherlock and Jonathan creek early next year. The two best detectives on TV to date.
I do enjoy watching panel shows.(There is a lot of them). 8 out of 10 cats is one of the ones I do enjoy. It is good to watch just to here Jimmy Carrs laugh(it is so funny and strange).
I'm enjoying "Atlantis" at the moment. I don't know if it's been shown yet outside of the UK, but it's made by the same team that did "Merlin", and if you enjoyed "Merlin" you should enjoy this.
I've been watching some things lately. I just started watching the "Hetty Wainthropp Investigates" series, and the eight season of "Foyle's War", both of which I enjoyed very much. Anyone else? Hetty Wainthropp was very sweet, a very mild mystery show. The added bonus is watching a pre-Lord of the Rings Dominic Monaghan. And while I couldn't really recomend the first episode of season eight, Foyle's War is very good too. I've never seen any previous seasons, but I'm not too in the dark on the background story. It's also very funny to find that once I went searching YouTube for more, I found Sherlock's Jim Moriarty in an episode!
But all around some good entertainment.

I don't think it's been aired here yet, but I was hoping it would be a good show to watch. Their work with Merlin was typically of high quality, so I'm glad to hear their new show is good as well. I'll likely have to wait until it appears on Netflix to watch it, though.

My grandfather was an officer in the NYPD for at least 30 years if I recall correctly. He later on became a homicide detective, like Danny. He started watching the show just before he passed and highly approved of it. He got all of us introduced to it.
Have you seen all 4 seasons? I've seen them all up to the most recent episode so far. What did you think of this weeks episode? Whose your favourite Reagan? What do you think of Jamie's new partner so far?
That an NYPD homicide detective would recommend this show is high praise indeed!
I think I started watching late in season 2 or early in season 3, but I've been thinking of trying to locate earlier seasons so I can see it from the beginning.
I find it hard to choose a favorite Reagan because they make such a good ensemble together. Really good casting. If pressed I might say Frank (as commissioner and father) or Erin (she's a little unique as she's not a cop but still in law enforcement).
I'm still getting used to Jamie's new partner. This past episode focused on her somewhat and I think more of this will help us get to know her better.
TheGentleWarrior, which is your favorite Reagan, and what do you think of the new partner?
