Particularly in Series 2, Episode 2.
Agreed, but it's series 2, episode 1.
I love how you know which episode I'm talking about more than I do. You're right; I edited my post. Thanks.
Speaking of Sherlock, does anyone have any theories as to how

I honestly have no sensible Ideas about it. A clone of himself I am not really sure.
...does anyone have any theories
Just thinking about that makes my brain hurt. That's for the serious Sherlockian.
I only made it to the first episode, but I've seen lots of clips and stuff. But I have to agree with alot of the fans out there, it seems sensible:By my personal theary is: I dunno...
I saw an image on Pinterest once that made a joke, something about Moffat not even knowing, He's just waiting for some fan to come up with some decent explanation.
I'm inclined to belive him...

I've recently started watching Supernatural; almost through the whole first season so far. I'm a huge fan of adorable relationships of whatever kind, so i'm really enjoying the brother dynamic of the show. I'm vaguely familiar with a lot of the major twists that take place in later seasons thanks to pop cultural osmosis, and it certainly strains the bounds of reality - even for a show about things that go bump in the night - but i like what i've seen so far.
I'm keeping up with Once Upon a Time via the episode plot summaries on Wikipedia, but i've stopped watching it. I've mentioned before my frustration with the amount of sympathy shown the Evil Queen, and it's only gotten worse. Unless there comes a time when someone literally or metaphorically slaps her across the face and tells her, in no uncertain terms, that what she has been through is no excuse for the choices that she's made, or the Queen herself admits it, i'm not likely to start watching again. But i'm sick of every single misstep of the good guys - big or small - getting treated so seriously while the Queen's vast misdeeds - including, y'know, murdering her own father, sending children into the house of a cannibal, ruining an entire kingdom because of what one little girl did to her - have been more or less ignored.
I've always felt OUaT was a decent show that never lived up to its potential, only occasionally coming close. There's always hope it will eventually, but for the time being ...
I've been wanting to watch more of Grimm for a while now - i've seen two episodes - but my free time usually gets claimed by other things.
Anyone here ever see any of the A&E show Breakout Kings? It only lasted two seasons, and it's grittier than the cable shows on USA, but i like what i've seen of it. The second season recently became available on Netflix, so i'm making my way through that.

They're already talking about Sherlock Season 4 but when's Season 3 coming out?
I don't have any theories about the ending of Season 2. It baffled me.
Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11
I thought I read somwhere around the end of the year. Does that sound right?
A page back I had asked about BBC's Titanic. I watched it, and it was really good, if anyone's interested. Only two things bad worth mentioning. 1. There was one bit where a woman (in her anger) calls an Earl and his illegitemate daughter names. She knows that he's had an affair in the past and says so. But the words came out very quickly, so it was over fast. & 2. Being the fact that a wife/mother has a brief kiss with another man on the deck. They attempt to kiss again, but then her husband comes in, hits the man, and she screams that he was just drunk and storms off. So, nothing catastrophic, I'd snip them out before I let a young hobbit see those bits. (Oh, the glory of a Movie Maker! )
But it's a very good show, anyway. I really liked the way they chose to shot it, as compared to other films on the subject. There's five (?) episodes in all, & by the end of the first one, she's just about to sink. The other four are each then concentrated on the little details of four groups of people and their stories. By the end of the series, you've seen some of the same shots and lines a few times, but it's interesting to see how all the people effect one another.
So, very nicely made, well shot, mostly clean, but very sad.
Animations and effects get better every year...

I'm afraid I quit watching TWD early this season for various reasons. Maybe I should try catching up again.
If there is anything you want to know feel free to ask, if you think it will help you decided wether or not you want to invest more time into the show.
There is definitely some innuendo in it. Particularly in Series 2, Episode 1. Not as bad as most shows these days, though.
And some violence -- these are often murder mysteries after all.
You can PM me if you would like some actual examples (I can't post them here). But overall, I'd say it's probably a hard PG, or light PG-13.

Thanks I think I will take you up on that.

from memory late this year for the uk and for australia who would have a clue. Maybe march 2014.
Emm, for Series Three of Sherlock, I think I remember hearing something about late 2013/early 2014 for the UK, and then early-to-mid 2014 for the US. But I think I heard that from my sister, so I don't have any links to back it up.
Ithilwen,
Star Trek TNG fans saw a familiar face on last week's episode of NCIS - Marina Sirtis portrayed the new head of Mossad. Though rather than Counselor Troi, her distinctive voice brought to mind more recent roles, most notably Demona in Gargoyles or Queen Bee from Young Justice.
Ah! My mom told me the actress' name when the episode started, but I didn't recognise it and she didn't tell me that she was on TNG. Now I know why she seemed kind of familiar, so thanks. It was a pretty exciting episode, though, and I'm looking forward to the next one (due to finals, though, I'm not sure when I'll get to watch it).
Arwenel, I enjoyed the relationship/dynamic between the brothers on Supernatural, though I haven't seen that much---too busy, and some of the weirdness pushed it down farther on the list of priorities.
I haven't been keeping up with Once Upon a Time either but it's been a bit more of a combination of lack of time and frustration with the characters in general than anything specific thing. I am hoping they eventually completely redeem Regina, and that should involve admittance of guilt for all her actions. However, my hopes for characters and shows don't seem to play out that often, though.
I'm behind in pretty much every show I watch, but I finally made it through the rest of Series Six and started Series Seven for Doctor Who (just watched "A Town Called Mercy"). Nothing has really jumped out at me so far, though I did pick up on the theme of parental love in Series Six, though I'm not really sure if it ever went anywhere---I watched it in too many pieces and over too long a period of time to make any major connections.
To the future, to the past - anywhere provided it's together.
Ok, so does anyone here still watch Merlin? The series finale was this week and man...I was hollering at my screen in sheer protest, and that NEVER happens and is NOT a good thing.
And that's all I had to say about THAT.SpoilerWorst ending ever. I figured Arthur or Merlin could die, but the way it happened was just LAME. Four seasons and we get ONE episode of Merlin/Arthur magic and then it's done. We should have had at LEAST a season of it; the writers just got it in their heads that Arthur could never know and that was just a dumb decision. And the modern day ending? I mean, what is that even supposed to MEAN? Zombie Arthur is going to be reborn as Will and Kate's son?![]()
Lame, lame, lame. The show had a lot of great promise and was an awesome concept with great casting, but man did they blow it.
I totally agree with your spoiler sentiment.
Throughout the whole 5 seasons they've been banging on about Merlin's great destiny to protect Arthur. To practise magic to become this great warlock. What does he do during the final battle?? He stands on top of a mountain wields his stick and creates lightning for a few seconds and boom thats his big moment! I mean come on, I would have thought that after 5 years of doing/studying magic, he would have come up with/been able to do something marginally more spectacular than that!
And I hated Gwen being made Queen. I mean I guess there was no heir therefore she was a logical choice. But i just hated her character. I quite liked her in S1 but after that she become much more submissive and had no depth and honestly I don't think she brought anything to the show. I would have liked nothing better than for her to have pranced off with Lancelot into the sunset.
I am also very annoyed that they killed off Gwaine. He was a half decent character but I guess the writers felt that some characters had to be sacrificed for the sake of good TV.
I didn't think the final episode of Merlin was lame. Throughout the episode, I fully expected
SpoilerMerlin to get Arthur to Avalon in time to save his life, and it was something of a shock, and very sad, that Arthur died. The only thing I did think was lame was how easily Morgana was killed. If it was so easy, why didn't they finish her off two seasons ago?
As for the modern-day ending, I rather liked the idea of Merlin still up and about, aged about 1500 or so, waiting for the right time for Arthur's return. Maybe the door could be open for a series set in the present or the near future, where Merlin still has to keep his magic a secret to avoid being carted off to the funny farm, and Arthur makes a spectacular return while Charles (King George VII) is busy talking to plants?
I can understand where the writers were going with the final scene but for me it just didn't work at all. It seemed so odd and out of the ordinary. I guess I had high expectations for this series finale and it just did not live up to it.
If I was to buy a Merlin DVD boxset I would only ever buy S1. S2-5 just never lived up to the greatness of the first season. Yes the cgi effects (?) were so much better in S2-5 and yes the Merthur banter was very amusing to watch but they messed around with the legends in way I was not very keen on. Its depressing to know that had the writers changed some key storylines and made this show how I thought it would be, this would have been my all-time favourite tv show ever. Beating 24 and Stargate and most other tv shows hands down.

This is a long shot, have any of you seen garth marenghi's darkplace? I found this show recently it is really funny and fake.
Sorry, IlF, I'm not familiar with that show.
I'm still catching up with some shows I usually watch, several of which are ending their seasons for the summer. Grimm ended season 2 with a cliffhanger - as expected - and the scene faded to black with "To Be Continued" on the screen.
A moment later it added, "Oh Come On, You Knew That Was Coming."
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
You have to have a certain taste in comedy to enjoy the tv show. It has actors from the it crowd but it is much stranger than that. The whole 6 episodes are up on youtube in whole episodes.
It was a sort of Heroes reunion night for the season 7 opening of Burn Notice, with Adrian Pasdar (Nathan Petrelli) and Jack Coleman (Noah Bennet) both appearing. But no one said "Save the cheerleader, save the world."
Is anyone still watching Revolution? (I recall some discussion of it here when it first began). I find it a sort of guilty pleasure, with its 'science lite' and increasingly difficult suspension of disbelief.
Season 1 finale:
Not surprisingly, the power was restored in the last episode. A big electrical storm followed, implying lightning was also suppressed during the blackout. But lightning is an important part of the nitrogen cycle (it fixes atmospheric nitrogen in the soil).
Once the power's restored, a satellite view shows lights coming on around the globe - but 15 years of no maintenance is going to be hard on the power grid and infrastructure, as was seen early in the series, with an overgrown Wrigley Field, for example. /nitpicks
