Very nice, wondering which ways the show's going to turn...

Does anyone have any theories they'd like to dig up concerning Sherlock and the Reichenbach Fall?

Oh yay!!! At least we know we have at least 2 more seasons to look forward to.I have read most of the original stories now and it will be interesting to see some of the not so main ones being turned into a mordern television episode.

@ Dark horse it about the first shopping complex in london set between 1910-1920 I believe. "The story of a young girl who works in a department store and gets caught up in the charms of the modern world."

Oh, interesting, but it doesn't really sound like my kind of show. On a different note, Doctor Who returns end of the month! Hurray :D

Anyone else catch The Bible? Can't say I'm impressed. They did get some stuff right, but they compleatly lost me when the two angels pulled out swords in Sodom, and Gomarrah.

Okay, that's a bit weird. ;))

I caught the end of the latest episode (David and Bathsheba). About the best thing I can say is that one of my favorite voice actors, Keith David (Gargoyles, etc.) is the narrator. Nice to hear him in action again.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

I believe Warehouse 13 comes back next month, though I'm not entirely certain about that.

I watch Haven. Just finished the third season a few weeks ago.

So anyone else watch Veronica Mars? At long last, they finally got the greenlight for a movie, but had to crowd source it. They launched a Kickstarter and got the needed two million dollars in less than a week. I'm insanely happy right now. :D

A Veronica Mars movie? Fantastic. Yes, I love the series (more so Kristen Bell). She's one talented, funny lady. It was sad when Season 3 wasn't finished properly. But a movie? By golly, that's good.

I haven't seen The Bible, as it hasn't screened in Australia. Judging by the sneaks peaks I've seen, I expect it will be enjoyable but the acting quality will vary greatly. Love the look of the angels too.

Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11

Sherlock series 4 has been confirmed, and series 3 is set to start filming 18 March (2013).

*happy dance* :D

Saw this today and thought it was nice.

Cumberbatch looks like he lost a bit of weight after Star Trek to get back into the Sherlock mode. Can't wait for a new image or something...

stargazer. I will say the acting is ok. But it would be just nice to see a secular production at least TRY to get the content right.
I have only seen the very first Sherlock. I rather enjoyed it. For now I have been watching Elementary, with Lucy Liu, Thursday nights. While still in it's first season it has already shown considerable character development.
Some purists will disagree with it going too far from the original. But like the BBC counterpart I believe we should allow for how Holmes would react to the modern world.
Personally, I think it is rather refreshing to see Holmes at times put in his place. (Though I doubt Lestrad would have ever punched Holmes).

I don't like elementary at all, I watched one episode holmes whole personality is wrong. I much prefer the sherlock.

On another note, has anyone watched the community? I surprisingly enjoyed this show. I am not usually a fan of american collage movies and television shows but this one was good.

Has anyone watched BBC's Titanic? This blog: http://mselifloraperiodramas.blogspot.i ... tanic.html , has posted all 5 episodes, and while it looks really good, I'd hate to start it and find it has a scene or something in it. Just wondering...

??? The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah was supposed to be due to tectonic forces. Fire and brimstone (sulphur) and all of that. Incidentally I read in the latest edition of Biblical Archaeological Review that a leading archaeologist believes he's found exactly where Sodom was and the likely remains of the city.

Last night I saw a particularly terrific program called Turn back time,a mini series for four weeks, which I enjoyed immensely. This SBS program was about three modern English families who are learning about how their ancestors lived in the Edwardian era (1910), the Roaring Twenties until the Great Depression, during WW2 and sometime afterwards in the 1960's. It shows how the wealthy, the middle class and the working class lived during those eras. The organisers use three adjoining terrace houses in Northern England to demonstrate how each family lived. The program is to demonstrate how our ideas of family life changed over the 20th century.

Yesterday's episode of Castle featured a familiar guest star: Raphael Sbarge, who plays Doctor Archibald Hopper in Once Upon a Time, appeared as a rather nerdy scientist/Bigfoot enthusiast.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

The Walking Dead Season Finale was a few weeks ago, I thought the whole season was fantastic, Probably the strongest one yet and I can't wait for Season 4.

And I am hooked on the TV show Combat (1962). The quality in my opinion is top notch! I love Sgt. Saunders and all the characters are so well written. I highly recommend it. :)

Out of curiosity I have been wanting to watch the Sherlock Holmes series with Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Is there any sort of content that I should be leery of?

I've currently been watching:

Once Upon a Time
Grimm
Persons of Interest

There is definitely some innuendo in it. Particularly in Series 2, Episode 1. Not as bad as most shows these days, though. ;)) And some violence -- these are often murder mysteries after all.

You can PM me if you would like some actual examples (I can't post them here). But overall, I'd say it's probably a hard PG, or light PG-13. B-)

I'm afraid I quit watching TWD early this season for various reasons. Maybe I should try catching up again.

Combat brings back childhood memories. My dad and brothers especially liked that show.

The rest of your watch-list matches mine. All 3 of those shows are gearing up for their season finales.

Star Trek TNG fans saw a familiar face on last week's episode of NCIS - Marina Sirtis portrayed the new head of Mossad. Though rather than Counselor Troi, her distinctive voice brought to mind more recent roles, most notably Demona in Gargoyles or Queen Bee from Young Justice.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
