I've seen a few articles floating around about that, Damsel. Have we heard anything from reputable sources about whether it's officially confirmed?

It is confirmed. They are going through the audition process and plan to start filming by February. :)

Nice to have you join us in anticipation, DJP! Though, I don't know if that news is really that new anymore. :-s See, I'd been seeing rumors about that for months. And around Thanksgiving, I saw articles that confirmed it. Also around that time, I was talking with Libby about it. (I also talked about it with people at the playhouse end of november/early december)

Mountie, yes... it's for sure happening! :D
At least, I've read that Ben and Danielle (aka Cory and Topanga) are for sure attached to the project. And that they are both really excited about it.

As for me...
I'm kinda nervous, kinda excited. I mean, it has a lot to live up to... will "Girl Meets World" meet everyone's expectations? Will it mesh well with already established canon, or will it mess it up? All that junk. However, the longtime fan in me is THRILLED to "hear from" the characters again. And to see this new chapter in their lives.

Questions/Comments:

What are your thoughts, guys?
(not sure if all of that needed spoilers, but I figured, just in case...)

...........
Flam, did you see tonight's new episode of "Person of Interest"? I'm assuming you did, but I thought I'd ask. Wow... it's... what's with that ending?!

I absolutely saw it, and I'm still having trouble articulating my thoughts. The ending was.... I just.... oh, I have no idea. I admit that I wasn't totally surprised by what happened because I've been following the filming of the show pretty closely and I've been expecting it since

Spoiler
pictures of Jim Caviezel in an orange jumpsuit appeared online a few weeks ago.
At the same time though, it was still a huge shock to see it happen. I know that they're gonna work it out somehow, but I absolutely have no idea how.
The part of the episode that really got me was the moment when
Spoiler
John told Harold that he felt happy. He felt happy. That may sound minor, but it's really not because that is the first time he has been actually happy in over ELEVEN YEARS! Just wow. This character has changed and grown so much since we first met him as a homeless bum in the Pilot episode, and gosh it hurt to see it crushed so quickly.

On the whole, the episode was not without flaws (a few of the decisions the characters made felt like they were made only because of what had to happen in the plot, not out of any real desire to do them), but overall I thought it was a good episode. Not the "best episode yet" good (IMO it didn't trump "Firewall" or "Number Crunch" in terms of cliffhanger endings), but definitely still good.

And now I just have to wait three more weeks for a new episode.
That sounds much easier than it really is, btw. :-ss

^Yeah I know. I looked at the date it was published and wished something new was out :)

On the other hand when I was going to work I heard Danielle Fishel talking on the radio about Girl Meets World so I'm glad she said it's a go. :D

I just finished watching BBC's North & South (2004)

That reminds we haven't watch North & South in a while, it's about time to watch it again. Maybe after Christmas. :)

My sisters and I watched half of Jane Eyre (2006) last night. I was hoping to watch the second half tonight, but the little kids are camping out in the great room. Hopeful we can finish it soon. :) We hadn't watched it since February and when we watched it then we had four people watching it on a laptop, not my favorite way to watch anything. ;)

I've been watching Psych and enjoying it. It's been a nice way to distract myself if I'm feeling especially poorly physically on any given day (as I am dealing with some health issues). I'm currently working through the episodes at a very slow pace. Last one I watched was the Civil War episode in Season 1, about a week or two ago. ;)) That said, the show is absolutely hilarious, and I love the dynamics of Gus and Shawn. The dialogue is snappy, and the banter is silly, but in the best possible way. I'm enjoying it. ;))

I have a question for all the Downton Abbey fans.

I'd just finished watching Pride & Prejudice (2005) and I was wondering if Lady Catherine de Bourghs' home Rosings Park is the same building that plays as the Abbey. Just curious...

Nope, Downton Abbey is filmed at Highclere Castle in Berkshire. Rosings Park was the Burghley House in Lincolnshire.

Ok, so does anyone here still watch Merlin? The series finale was this week and man...I was hollering at my screen in sheer protest, and that NEVER happens and is NOT a good thing.

Spoiler
Worst ending ever. I figured Arthur or Merlin could die, but the way it happened was just LAME. Four seasons and we get ONE episode of Merlin/Arthur magic and then it's done. We should have had at LEAST a season of it; the writers just got it in their heads that Arthur could never know and that was just a dumb decision. And the modern day ending? I mean, what is that even supposed to MEAN? Zombie Arthur is going to be reborn as Will and Kate's son? :p ;) Lame, lame, lame. The show had a lot of great promise and was an awesome concept with great casting, but man did they blow it.

And that's all I had to say about THAT. :p

I didn't think the final episode of Merlin was lame. Throughout the episode, I fully expected

Spoiler
Merlin to get Arthur to Avalon in time to save his life, and it was something of a shock, and very sad, that Arthur died. The only thing I did think was lame was how easily Morgana was killed. If it was so easy, why didn't they finish her off two seasons ago? ;)
As for the modern-day ending, I rather liked the idea of Merlin still up and about, aged about 1500 or so, waiting for the right time for Arthur's return. Maybe the door could be open for a series set in the present or the near future, where Merlin still has to keep his magic a secret to avoid being carted off to the funny farm, and Arthur makes a spectacular return while Charles (King George VII) is busy talking to plants? :D

How many series are there of Merlin now? like 5, I remember watching bits and pieces, never watched the whole thing.

Any of you watched the pillars of the earth? I really enjoyed the series.

Just bought parades end for $21 Australian dollars including postage on the bbcshop online(good bbc makes dvds for regions 2 and 4). I am very excited to watch the show, I have seen previews.

I don't watch much t.v anymore, but I love watching iCarly. I think it's well written and has some great innuendos for a tween show. On occasion, I watch Once Upon a Time, Food Network, and the Disney Channel.

Our family has been watching the Band of Brothers miniseries over the last few days. I've so far seen the first 3 episodes. And so far it's pretty good. The production design is very good, on par with any big budget movie. The action scenes are very well done. But the dialogue in the "male bonding" scenes is often terribly cheesy.

Great show!
