Cheers, Louloudi. I much preferred that trailer to the first one. I'm a big Doctor Who fan (have been ever since I first saw some of the early episodes when I was 8) and the first trailer did nothing for me. This trailer had emotion, mystery, suspense and context. Good stuff!

I too liked this trailer. Thanks for the link!
Those with slower internet connections may find it easier to go to the original BBC America trailer:

I still prefer the Tenth Doctor of the three in this reboot, though I like the others too. I agree that the Ninth is underrated, here in the States anyway. Maybe part of that is because his tenure was so short: 13 episodes while we had 3 seasons with David Tennant and are about to begin our 3rd with Matt Smith.
I see Once Upon A Time noted in your signature, Warrior. I'm looking forward to its Season 1 DVD release next week (in the US). Whether I actually buy it or not depends on the price...
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
We are still working our way through The Rockford Files season 1. We have a whole disc left to watch. It's so much fun to watch it with my parents and siblings.

What's your viewpoint on Robin Hood?
Mountie's assessment of the show's content was pretty good, imo. It's clean for the most part, but there are some moments that are a bit questionable, and I should add that the main villains also do some rather despicable things at times.
Oh, and absolutely under no circumstances should season 3 ever be watched. Ever. It's horrible.
The first season 2 promo for Person of Interest was released yesterday.

Well, after posting in the SFs for both Firefly and Doctor Who, might as well go on posting about TV shows ..
Caught up today on Leverage season 5; seen all but the latest episode now. Anyone else watching?
I'm quite a few episodes behind on White Collar's current season, but i thought they resolved the situation from season 3's finale pretty well.

I have a question for anyone who can answer it. Do you have to watch Cranford to understand Return to Cranford, or can you simply watch it by itself and understand?
Also, I wanted to post the link to BBC's Emma (Part 1), should anyone want to watch it. I'd say it's rated G, although once in a while there's a low cut dress, I think, but not often at all.

I love this show(horrible histories), the way they dance is so funny, some of its a bit lame. It is a kids show but it is still funny.
Horrible Histories is comedy gold! The only part I dislike is the rat host. He's so annoying and not the least bit funny.

^:( I love the rat just because he looks so cute. The only part I dislike is that bob guy who keep say "but not for long""
I've been reviewing Once Upon A Time before season 2 starts later this month. The DVD commentaries do address a few of the complaints people made while the show was running (for example, that Mary Margaret and David didn't have any 'backbone' in resolving their relationship in the Storybrooke universe; the creators commented that this was intentional as the curse generally inverted people's personalities compared to the fairy tale universe).
There were also a few comments about the nods to LOST (the clock at 8:15, the Apollo candy bars, the mayor's house number), along with a few I didn't catch (a Geronimo Jackson sticker on Emma's car, and an Oceanic Airlines jet flying overhead). Henry's TRON lunchbox is another intentional nod to a previous project.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Someday when I have some time, I shall have to catch up with the Doctor. I am getting a little excited about the upcoming Merlin season. Do you know if this next season is supposed to be the last? I do not really care when they end it, so long as they end it well and don't try to drag it out until it's just redundant and cheesy. Speaking of Merlin, for those who have seen it, would you consider it a "family friendly" show?
I am most certainly estatic about a new season of Merlin coming up very soon! I believe that it is Season 5 which will premiere within the next week or so in the UK. Not sure if there will be a Season 6. However I have heard that they are planning on making a triology of movies?! Which i currently have mixed feelings about as I am unsure how they are going to make the movies different/similar to the tv series. Although I am very open and will reserve judgement!
Personally I would class Merlin as a family show. Definitely in the first two seasons. However the show has definitely gone down the darker route since Season 3. Which is probably reflected in the later showing times. (S1&2 were shown before 8pm - S3&4 were shown after 8pm if I remember correctly!).
On another note, I am still very miffed with the scriptwriters for not drawing out the relationship between Morgana and Arthur during S1 & 2. I felt the chemistry between them deserved more screen time. They definitely provided some comic relief -certainly in the early episodes of S1 (although they were nothing compared to Arthur and Merlin conversations! Who are simply hilarious when its just them in the scene. )
Season 3 of Downtown Abbey premiered in the UK last night and it was a pretty awesome episode. The introduction of the new characters were seamless and Mary and Matthew were perfect as usual. Cannot wait until next weeks episode. Maggie Smith is simply brilliant as the grandmother. She is fantastically sarcastic!

I watched tonight's premiere of Revolution on NBC. This was heavily advertised during the Olympics and I was intrigued by its concept of a worldwide disruption of technology via an EMP or something (an idea very similar to the premise of the Supernova RP here on NarniaWeb).
I was a little disappointed.

I understand that the main emphasis on the show is not the disaster itself, but what happens 15 years later.
I do concede, though, that the creators have chosen not to show things as graphically as they might really be under this scenario; it'd look more like The Walking Dead (without the zombies) if they did.
I may try another episode or two.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
I have cable back and I'm living it up now I've been able to catch up with a few of my preferred shows, including Once Upon a Time and The Walking Dead on Netflix. so I was able to catch the season opener for Once Upon a Time, which was rather interesting.
Regarding Revolution, I've been greatly entertained by it thus far. In standard network format the first few episodes often require the main characters to behave in stupid ways, and that's no exception here. But by and large the show is a lot of fun, especially Miles Matheson's quirky pop culture references to events in the show (When he introduces himself as "Stu Redman" and looks at Charlie and says "This is Franny", I guffawed. Those are two of the main characters from Stephen King's The Stand, another end of the world epic. I also was surprised to see Jacob from Lost as a bad guy (if you look at it from the right angle) as well as the guy from Once Upon a Time (the genie turned magic mirror turned newspaper publisher whose name escapes me). In fact his character is by far the most entertaining and interesting so far. I sure hope the show gets picked up for another couple of seasons because I'm enjoying it to death right now.

I know some people like Revolution, but I can't help thinking good thing I missed it. The initial premise intrigues, but I've done too much compare-and-contrast in the doomsday-versus-"mere"-dystopia to let the pros make such basic mistakes. In William Fortschen's EMP-pulse disaster novel One second after, Western society disintegrates so quickly that there are doubts as to whether it will survive its first winter. The story has three major weaknesses: it's a little heavy on the drum-beating; the main characters dismiss the real survivalists as tinfoil-hat granola eaters; and the novel actually skips winter altogether! If Revolution is to survive as a series it needs to avoid all three mistakes. And from how healthy the survivors are it sounds like they've already tripped over the third one.
I've not been a follower of Once upon a time, but this week they pre-empted my America's Funniest Home Videos. Good to see Fa Mulan. I wonder who could take Rumple in magic-battles. Maybe Anansi the Spider of Ghana folklore. (Anansi is a human; spider is his power as a trickster. See the "Static in Africa" episode of Static Shock if you haven't heard of him before.) It was hilarious watching Emma Swan trying to wrap her brain around the idea that her mother was not only a fairy-tale character but was younger that she is. Did the series ever explain how/why Regina adopted Emma's baby Henry? Did Regina set out on purpose to seize her place as Queen Mother by bringing up her kingly husband's great-grandson? Or was it a side effect of Rumple's magic that brought the child and his step-great-grandma together? Regina does love Henry. It gives the impression that she adopted a child out of genuine human feeling. I can't help wondering if Regina wept when she beheld the glories of India (i.e. Storybrooke) because there were no more worlds to conquer, and that was what made her decide to adopt a child instead of having one of her own.
As for reruns, lately we've been getting a double-episode run of Everybody hates Chris. It's said to be inspired by Chris Rock's real experiences. The comedian even plays a guidance counselor telling actor-Chris not to go to college, giving actor-Chris a chance to tell him off for not having faith in him.
