@Shadowlander: I've been keeping a close eye on Revolution.
I Really like J J Abrams stuff so I'm hoping this will be good!
Did anyone else catch the AMC's sneak peek at The Walking Dead: Season 3?
I'm looking forward to it's return in October.

Some friends of mine mentioned Revolution just today, Shadowlander. It's an interesting premise and I'm curious as to what they'll do with it. (Random note: something very similar is going on over in Ditto Town's "Supernova" RP - though only a couple days have passed since the supernova wreaked havoc on that poor civilization).
Thanks for the tip on TWD, 7chronicles. I confess I was a little disappointed in season 2 but will likely check out the first episode (or 2) of season 3.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
I was briefly interested in Revolution when I heard who was involved in it, but when I watched the trailer, I lost all interest. Unless the characters are just explaining their situation extremely poorly, civilization wouldn't be the only thing ending, the entire universe would fall apart. I can overlook a lot of shoddy science (I enjoyed J. J. Abrams' Star Trek despite its absolutely absurd science), but if writers were too lazy to do enough research to figure out what exactly electricity is, I can't see them producing a very good story.
I have only seen the first series of Sherlock and I really enjoyed it. It does seem rather far-fetched that people would label it a family friendly show. It most certainly is not. My family was really hesitant to watch the second series because of some reviews we heard about it. I still have yet to watch the second series, I do not do a good job of keeping up with a lot of shows. My sisters do and I just tag along with them. But since they moved out, I have had difficulty on my own.
The only other shows I really follow are Merlin and Doctor Who. But I still have yet to finish the sixth season of Doctor Who, that is how behind I am. I hear there is a new companion. I have only seen pictures of her and I am already a little skeptical. She's ginger like Amy and looks a bit too much like Amy Pond for my liking. Ah, well.
Someday when I have some time, I shall have to catch up with the Doctor. I am getting a little excited about the upcoming Merlin season. Do you know if this next season is supposed to be the last? I do not really care when they end it, so long as they end it well and don't try to drag it out until it's just redundant and cheesy. Speaking of Merlin, for those who have seen it, would you consider it a "family friendly" show?
Cheers!

does anyone know anything about the exact date the new season of Doctor Who comes out?
Tick tock, tick tock
Goes the clock
Here comes your final hour
Best use it well
But remember yourselves

darkhorseD, IMDB says that season 7 of Doctor Who begins (in the US) on Saturday, August 25. Looking forward to it!
In the meantime, I've been reviewings seasons 2 and 3 with David Tennant as the Doctor; the episodes are available on demand through my cable provider. I'm getting more used to Martha as a companion than I was the first time through the episodes.
Look for a Doctor Who Special Feature once we get closer to the air date!

Liberty - I really like "The Middle" too. And I like "Good Luck, Charlie"
I have very ecletic tastes:
Andy Griffith (sad that he passed away)
Avonlea
Stargate SG1
Star Trek
Good Luck Charlie
Twin Peaks (used to be my weekly dose of weird)
American Gothic (replaced Twin Peaks as my weekly dose of weird)
Underdog (all time favorite cartoon)
Pinky and the Brain (best cartoon theme song)
and I'm not ashamed to admit that even as an adult, I sometimes watch a rerun of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood just to hear him say "I like you just the way you are." (I believe him when he says it and it makes me feel better - I feel more secure!)
Further up and further in!!
does anyone know anything about the exact date the new season of Doctor Who comes out?
There's no date given on the BBC website for when the series will start on British TV, however it does say that five episodes will be transmitted this year, then the Christmas special (presumably on Christmas Day), then a further eight episodes will be shown in 2013.
I don't think any episodes will be aired in the US before they're aired in the UK - if they are, then it's not fair!
I got to watch the first episode of Sherlock, A Study in Pink (instead of "A Study in Scarlet" ) Question though...after Sherlock first meets Watson in the lab, Watson goes home and gets a text from him:
If brother has green ladder, arrest brother.

What's that supposed to mean?

Don't worry - the rest of us have only seen pictures as well. The episode that introduces her hasn't aired yet. At least, not here in the US... I don't know about other countries. She'll be introduced in Season 7 (which starts late next month) in... I think the Christmas Special?
And are you sure it wasn't a picture of Amy Pond you were seeing? The new companion is a brunette.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it, AC! Regarding the text, when John first entered the lab Sherlock was working on a case, and needed John's phone in order to send that text to Lestrade. For particulars on the case, you can read Sherlock's blog (an official website created by the BBC): http://www.thescienceofdeduction.co.uk/ ... reenladder
John's blog is enjoyable too, but you might not want to read it until you finish the last aired series (spoilers and all that). http://www.johnwatsonblog.co.uk/ And Molly's (spoilers for series 1): http://www.mollyhooper.co.uk/
I finally got around to watching the second series of sherlock(in other words the Dvd was on sale). I rather enjoyed it and can't wait for the third series but it is such a long way off, I will have to rewatch series one and two again so i know what is happening.

Yeah, okay. I went back and looked at it, I was mistaken: thought it was a message he sent to Watson, not an already sent message. To Lestrade.

I don't watch much television. But when I do. Here are the shows I watch:
Star Trek: The Next Generation ( I wish that the original series came on)
Andy Griffith (it is sad that he passed away)
The Dick Van Dyke Show
I Love Lucy
Leave It to Beaver
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (I don't watch it much. But Darth maul has brought new interest)
The Hobbit in theaters: 14 December 2012
Anyone on here like The Rockford Files (1974-1980)? My siblings and I got the first season for our parents for their anniversary later this week. We had seen some of the show on TV in 2007, but it's obviously been a while since we last watched it. I'm really excited to get to watch it again.
