I've finally caught up with Once Upon a Time and have enjoyed reading the theories here. Regina's backstory was interesting but did not served to make me more sympathetic to her (and that's okay; she is the evil queen after all).

August Booths middle name is Wayne according to a wiki for this show. It's interesting reading and has some spoilers for those who haven't seen all the episodes.

Randomnote: it has a page devoted to Connections to LOST. I've picked up some of these, notably those relating to the Numbers. Again, spoilers.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

I've been enjoying watching for LOST connections. Those are fun little Easter eggs.

Hey now, Peter DeLuise rocked a pretty impressive mullet in "21 Jump Street". ;)

Bailee Madison played a young Snow White in the most recent Once Upon a Time (1.18, "The Stable Boy"). Several of us commented on this excellent casting choice, as she looks remarkably like a younger Ginnifer Goodwin (adult Snow).

Eureka's 5th and final season began tonight on the US SyFy cable channel.

Spoiler
Last season ended with the Titan-bound spaceship hijacked on a premature launch; it appears the crew has returned 4 years later to a very different Eureka. Interesting plot twist for this last season

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Once Upon a Time - it was creepy how much the younger Snow White looked like her older self! Several of her facial expressions were dead-ringers for Ginnifer Goodwin's.

Thanks to my brother, i've started watching the most recent Doctor Who series - on Netflix, so i'm a ways behind whatever's current, and in any event i haven't seen all of the available episodes yet, anyway.

On the whole, i find it very enjoyable; and it's got a great foundation for crossover fanfiction, and i just love crossover fanfiction :p . There are bits and elements i prefer to ignore/leave out/"fix" in my personal canon, bu it's been around for so long with such an established fan base, it seems to be a bit above my likes and dislikes, so to speak.

I recently discovered a TV show called "Flight 29 Down" that aired from 2005-2010 - it's rather awesome :D it's a cross between "Lost" and Gordon Korman's Island book trilogy :D the kids in the cast are great actors and it was well put together :)

Hulu has started trying their hand at original television programs now. I've been watched their first effort, a faux documentary style show called Battleground the last few days and it's pretty good. I'm not normally fond of the documentary style of show, but I think it actually works for the show. It's about a fictional political campaign and the team of people running it. Avatar fans might be interested to hear that Sokka's voice actor is in it as the campaign speech writer.

Finally saw Matt Smith's first episode as the Eleventh Doctor. It was pretty good, all things considered, but it's going to take awhile for me to see him as "The Doctor" - if ever. I'm trying to keep an open mind, though.

Saw the latest episode of Once Upon a Time - i found it disappointing.

Spoiler
I'm not going to say Gold/Rumplestiltskin didn't have something like that coming, considering some of the things he's done, but leading him on like that is hardly the behavior of a good guy. I'm kind of hoping August has some other reason for doing it, or at least a really good excuse, but i'm currently disappointed with him. Not least for not realizing what a monumentally stupid idea that was.

David and Mary Margaret continue to be uninspiring. I keep hoping for some kind of mature development from either of them, but they seem content to remain passive and weepy. I'm maybe-possibly-probably being a little harsh, but .. not much.

On the positive side, i liked the opening conversation with Gold and Regina; clearly, intelligence is not her strong suit. Since when has he ever been on anybody's side but his own, lady?

You'd better, Matt Smith is the best for the role of The Doctor

Matt Smith has 'grown on me' as the Doctor - but I'm also fond of David Tennant. :)

The latest episode of Once Upon a Time struck me as a little odd:

Spoiler
August Booth knows about the curse and the change in worlds, and yet he tries to use the dagger to control Gold? It seems to me that he should have known the fairy tale world magic wouldn't work here. Or maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions...

The preview for next week, and internet rumors imply

Spoiler
that Booth is in fact Pinocchio, and the reason he's not quite up to speed is that he's been trapped in wood in our world for some time. If so, his lying to Gold might be appropriate for his character. And we've already seen Geppetto.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

darkhorseD - I'm pretty sure that's a matter of opinion. ;)

stargazer, that current theory is sort of mine as well.

Spoiler
That said, i'm not sure how much that explains. One would think that after 28 years, he would have noticed magic not working.

It's possible the OUAT take on Pinocchio will explain more; i certainly hope so. I still kinda like August, but my opinion of him definitely took a knock.

Glad you got to see the first episode of The Eleventh Doctor, Arwenel. :)

The Eleventh Hour is probably my favorite Season 5 episode, and (along with Vincent and the Doctor) is one of the two Moffat-era episodes I actually liked. I think Matt Smith is a fantastic actor, but I'm definitely not a fan of the way his character was written. And he certainly never became "The Doctor" to me. So, don't feel too bad if the same happens for you. ;))

Have you seen any of Classic Who yet? I've gotten really attached to the Fourth Doctor. Tom Baker is amazing. I quite like a lot of the others from the classic era too.

On another note, I should really update my favorite list for the Doctors of Doctor Who. The last time I wrote one, I hadn't seen much of some of the Doctors. I think now my favorites-to-least favorites would be:

1. Tom Baker
2. Patrick Troughton
3. William Hartnell
4. Christopher Eccleston
5. Jon Pertwee
6. David Tennant
7. Peter Davison (although, this may change once I see more of him)
8. Sylvester McCoy
9. Paul McGann
10. Matt Smith
11. Colin Baker

I'm curious as to who they'll get as the Twelfth Doctor. I'm also very curious about the

Spoiler
new companion
this coming season.

@Ithilwen - I started watching the very first episode on youtube, but i gave up on it pretty quick. That, with the exception of the short special "Time Crash" and a youtube collection of regeneration scenes, constitutes the entirety of my experiences with classic doctors. I intend on watching at least some of Tom Baker's stuff (he was the Doctor when my dad watched it). Eventually.

I really liked both Eccleston and Tennant; don't know that i could say i liked one better than the other.

When did the Russell T. Davies era end and the Moffat era begin, relatively speaking? (Note to self: "exactly" and "relatively" do not belong in the same sentence)

The last RTD episode was the End of Time Special. The episode after that, The Eleventh Hour, marked the start of the Moffat era. The Tenth Doctor was RTD's last Doctor. Moffat started with Eleven and Matt Smith. :)
