Princess Anna lol okay, okay , maybe old was too strong of a word. I meant older; as in: compared to today's shows? I didn't think many people would know about them.
No offense on your oldness - or lack thereof.

Ok, maybe a show that's 28 or 29 years old is different compared to nowadays. But I still say it isn't "old".
I haven't seen the other two, though I might have heard of them. Not sure. When did they air/what are they about? Oh, and you might be surprised... there are several Nwebbers older than me. They might know of them. I even know of some younger than me, that know of shows OLDER than the A-team. So, yeah... the people here might surprise you...
...........
Sorry, Mountie. I haven't seen that show in ages. Not to mention, I have new episodes of Grimm and Merlin tonight. (and some others I'm skipping in favor of those two, so...) I hope you enjoy it, though!
I've seen a few old(er) TV shows; we used to live in an area that had a channel that played just old(er) TV shows. I like Columbo well enough, but it doesn't have much of a re-watch value for me.
Anyone going to watch the second half of the Leverage season finale Sunday night? I might have to wait until 11PM (silly family members want to watch football).
The first half was one of those rare episodes that stuck with me for a few days after watching it.
I was guessing it would be Dubenitch behind it all; it would have been kinda anti-climatic to have anyone else. But he's not very original, is he? Or smart, for that matter.
One of the writers has mentioned, on his blog, that Nate is now at the point where he could kill somebody. I'm hoping they don't have him kill Dubenitch in cold blood. I don't think they will, but you can't be too certain of what writers will do.

Ironside was a cop show that aired in the 1960 and 70's & it's about Chief Ironside, a former police captain, played by Raymond Burr:
Who also played lawyer Perry Mason in the Perry Mason shows back in the 50's.
The basic story is that he is now a retired captain, due to an accident that left him paralyzed and in a wheelchair. But he still helps the LA PD figure out a bunch of chases and mentors/befriends a few rather young/new officers in the process.
Every episode is about him and his team solving a case of some sort, be it murder, drugs, etc. I really like it, you should try it sometime. (If you like that kind of thing)
And Columbo is also a detective show, I think that was from the 1950's & 60's though. Maybe 70's too.
Private Detective Columbo is played by Peter Falk (who just died last year )
He's a very smart little guy who knows alot more than he lets on. He's always trying to catch the bad guy. A lot of the time, he knows who did what, he just has to prove it. For instance, In the movie "Columbo: Prescription Murder" he knows this man killed his wife, but the murder is very slick, so Columbo has to trick him into admitting his guilt.
They're both very good, and generally clean, maybe sometimes a low cut dress or two, but on the whole, they're good.

I recall watching several of these old ( ) shows back in the day.
Tonight's new episode of the Hawaii Five-O series featured a familiar voice in a guest role: Dante Basco (Zuko in Avatar: The Last Airbender).
The other night I caught part of a made-for-TV movie on SyFy called Collision Earth (while also watching one of the NFL playoff games). I'd describe it as a poorer cousin to the 90s big-budget asteriod disaster flick Armageddon...but this time it's Mercury careening towards earth.
I have to admit I laughed on occasion...both at the horrendous science (the sun shoots Mercury out of orbit without disturbing the rest of the inner solar system, and Mercury seems immune to Roche's Limit as it approaches earth) and the poor CGI (for example, seemingly random magnetic storms would suddenly grab cars and lift them into the air, only to drop them later in poor special effects).
I can understand the poorer CGI as it probably didn't have the budget of Bruce Willis' movie. (But the CGI on Eureka, a SyFy series, is better).
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
I watch a number of different shows.
the mighty boosh
the it crowd
heart beat
midsummer murders
flight of the conchords
futurama
black books

Tonight is the series finale of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. I've followed the show since its beginning, and it's really sad to see it end. However, I couldn't think of a better way to end the series than to watch the EMHE team rebuild Joplin. Will any of you be tuning in?
I saw that. It was amazing. I was really touched by everything they did for the people in Joplin. Was a little sad to see it end.

I'm back at college so I just got caught up on the two Once Upon a Time episodes I missed while I was home. I liked them pretty well.
Any theories on who

SpoilerAladdin is from the Storybook world, and all those characters are stuck in StoryBrook...they can't leave, and according to Henry, random humans don't really come in. At first I thought the stranger was Henry's dad, but Emma would have recognized him. So yeah, I dunno.
Oh yea, I wasn't thinking about that. My first gut feeling when
Anyone watch the premier of Alcatraz? I thought it was pretty good, had a few too many of Abrams' usual tropes. If you've watched a few of his shows, you know the ones. It seems like a very limited plot though, something that would work better in a miniseries format. I can't really see it running three or four seasons with the current premise unless it just turns into a police procedural sort of thing. For all that Fringe does tend to do a lot of Monster of the Week type shows, they're at least caused by different things and are very different from each other, which keeps things fresh.
So final verdict, I'm intrigued, I like the characters, but maintaining a certain amount of skepticism.
Getting some use out of Netflix - watched two episodes of Doctor Who: The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances. Not my first time watching DW, but the only other episode i've seen was "Blink", and that was on youtube. I already knew the basic plot of both episodes, but it was fun to watch anyway. Even my mom, who referred to the show as "Doctor Who Cares", asked some questions about what was going on and laughed at some of the funny parts.
It took a while, but i finally caught the second half of the Leverage season finale. Worth the wait, with a lot of good quotes and

I've been successfully keeping up with Once Upon a Time and I've no clue who the guy on the motorcycle is although he sure looked familiar. I finally figured out it was an actor named Eion Bailey who portrayed Private Webster from Band of Brothers. After that everything fell in place and ever since I've been calling him "Web" like they do on BoB. With any good luck more of the BoB cast will show up and paradrop onto Regina's house
That'd make things a bit more interesting!

Anyone heard of "Touch", the new show for Kiefer Sutherland, (24)?
The series premiere is scheduled for Monday, March 19, 2012, with a preview on January 25. The preview already aired of course. I just saw it, I had it recorded. Personally, I loved it. There things we need to suspend belief with, (like with LOST). I'd recommend it.

I finally caught the pilot and first episode On Demand, and agree with your assessment. There were lots of familiar names from LOST - not just on screen, but elsewhere, like Jack Bender and Michael Giacchino. In fact, the musical score was so reminiscent of LOST I guessed it was his work in seconds.
In addition to the Abrams tropes you allude to, I noticed a similarity to
I enjoying seeing Jorge Garcia in a different role than that of Hurley.
I too will be keeping an eye on this one, at least for a while.
narnian1, I plan on catching that premiere of Touch sometime in the next few days...it was extensively advertised during those Alcatraz episodes. I noticed Tim Kring is in on this. I liked his Heroes - at least at first - so that's another reason I'd like to check this out.
