I have (fortunately, unfortunately?) picked up a new show and my love for it has quickly eclipsed my love for any other currently running show. Parks and Recreation got off to a really slow start in season one--Leslie was a little too crazy and the plot was essentially about a pit, but season 2 and 3 are phenomenal. The show has the most well-defined and lovable characters and it's very smartly written. All of the actors are incredible comedians.
I've read that the show is celebrated for not being a show of discomfort like The Office or 30 Rock that leaves viewers wincing into their couch pillows. Instead, the show is genuinely hilarious and all the characters are incredibly nice (Except maybe Tom).
Leslie Knope is easily my favorite woman on TV. She's strong and funny and empowered without being annoying or obnoxious. She cares a lot and she's delightfully eccentric.
Anyone else a fan of our favorite fictional small-town Indiana government officials?
I've been greatly enjoying Transformers: Prime on The Hub!
It is my favorite show on TV!
I'm not sure why, but I really love Starscream in it, maybe because he is like a combination of Movie Starscream and G1 Starscream put together.
Two other show I enjoy are starting up, the first being,
America's got Talent, which starts tonight! I really like that show.
And also Hollywood Treasure on SyFy! Which starts back up again tomorrow!

Kate, I've seen tiny snippets of Parks and Recreation and it reminds me a great deal of The Office (this is a good thing), although I haven't seen enough to make an informed judgement call on it. The parts I saw seemed funny. One of those deals I'll probably have to catch up on Netflix.

Angry boys is over rated, his last 2 shows were a lot better. The swearing is over the top, even by my standard and most of it just isn't funny. that smouse guy drives me up the wall. The only good character is gran but then she suddenly disapears. It ain't worth watching anymore. Also all his shows are the same, chris liley needs to do seomthing different.
I stumbled upon an interesting show tonight on the History Channel, How the States Got Their Shapes, based on a book by the same name. Many states have rather odd shapes, often determined by geographical features like rivers and mountains - but other factors also determined those shapes. This show was full of trivia.
California's eastern border, for example, was originally going to be the crest of the Sierra Nevada Range (west of where it is now), but the straight lines of today's border came from a desire to get those mountains contained within the state just in case there was gold there.
Other trivia: the first US gold rush was not in California but North Carolina in 1799.
In the mid-1800s Pennsylvania accounted for half the world's oil production.
John Jacob Astor (yes, that Astor ) acquired much of his wealth from beaver trapping in Wisconsin (Green Bay's first boom was due to furs, not meat or cheese) and points west. This was influential in the 49th parallel of north latitude becoming the border from Minnesota west to the Pacific.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
I accidentally stumbled upon the TV show "The Middle" on ABC. wow. I've never laughed that hard at a TV show before it's hilarious! it is, to me, the best ABC TV show ever!

Top Gear reruns follow Doctor Who afternoons here, and it's kind of fun to watch it some times.
Fans of the 2004 Battlestar Galactica reboot may be interested in a marathon BBC America is running tomorrow. Beginning at 7 am EDT and lasting all day, they're playing episodes from the pilot on.

On Thursday I finished my rewatch of Avatar: The Last Airbender,
I love that show! Zuko is my favorite character.
Neftlix has the 90s X-Men animated series on Instant. Began yesterday.
I've already watched most of season 1, doing an episode now and one to go.
The 90s Spider Man is also available but there's a problem, in that it goes to the saved section. One could then reach it from a laptop, but not from Wii, Roku, iPod, or whatever else you might have.
(In fact, Netflix is working on getting all Marvel on instant. Cartoons and I think movies too. Iron Man 2 is on Instant too, also its cartoon series.)

Two familiar shows return to SyFy (formerly Sci-Fi Channel) tonight: Eureka continues season 4 and Warehouse 13 begins season 3.
These new episodes will be followed by the series premiere of Alphas:
In the series, five ordinary people are brought together to form one extraordinary team of Alphas -- people with the unique power to stretch the capabilities of the human mind giving them superhuman physical and mental abilities.
...the team investigates cases that point to others with Alpha abilities. As they work against the clock to solve this new brand of crime, they must prevent their own personality differences and disparate backgrounds from interfering with their ultimate mission to catch the enemy.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
I don't ordinarily watch TV very much, mostly because we don't have cable at home. But we do at work and me and m coworkers are really taking quite a shine to a show called Wipeout. They set up some giant themed obstacle courses with lots of moving parts and some off the wall contestants run through and try to get the best times. It is a real hoot!

I've caught Wipeout on occasion; it's funny when I'm in the mood for it. But almost more fun is watching my 12-year-old nephew's reaction to it...he's often rolling around on the floor laughing at it.

I'm looking forward to the tv show "Once Upon A Time". I don't know too much about it but it looks good from what I've seen in the previews.

I wasn't convinced by the first promo of "Once Upon A Time" but the most recent series trailer looked quite good. I'll have to check it out.
