Wow narnian1 we are both rooting for the same people. I honestly want Tim to win the entire thing because he is the purpose on what the show is about and that is growing. Like Simon said: "He went from zero to hero."

Everyone who watches AI root for Tim Urban!!!

24 is fantastic but can easily become a tired formula. Try Seasons 1, 2 and 5 - they're the best of the lot (in my opinion). Season 3 is also pretty good. 4 is both okay and at times very good. 6 starts off very well but is pretty blah. 7 has it's moments, as does 8 so far but it seems to be running out of steam (and this is coming from a die-hard 24 fan).

It is true that 24 has pretty much got the same stuff in each of the seasons. But i will still be sad to see it go. Even after 7-8 years it still manages to keep me at the edge of my seat. Having said that i can easily forget what happens in the previous episode - mainly because it's riveting when you're watching it but when you're not ... you just forget it. :D

Has anyone watched Walker Texas Ranger? I really like Chuck Norris in them. My brother, mother, and me love to watch the boxed season sets that they have at Wal-Mart. It has nice action, usally pretty clean, and a nice cast.

A Walker Texas Ranger Movie would be a great idea! I will have my eyes set on that at IMDB.

^^I agree! Has anyone seen Road to Avonlea? It is like Anne of Avonlea only a tv show based on different people. They even have some of the same characters in it like Ms. Stacey and Rachel Linn. I really like it and recemend it to Anne of Avonlea fans.

The History Channel is airing a weeklong miniseries starting tonight at 9pm EST called "America: The Story of Us". The promos for it look pretty good and it's supposed to have quite the epic scope about it. Just thought I'd toss it out there, if anyone's interested. :)

As it happens, SL, I saw a commercial for this series that weekend on the big screen, in front of Clash of the Titans. I've caught a few minutes of the series (some of the Lewis and Clark) and it looks good.

Now that 24 is winding down toward its series finale, they've taken a page from the Lost playbook and

Spoiler
killed off some characters: notably Renee Walker a few weeks ago. But I think Jack will survive - if only because a movie is quite likely and it wouldn't be 24 without him. I do think this scandal will bring down the Taylor presidency.

ABC has begun a new series called Happy Town, supposedly set in a small town in rural Minnesota. I watched the premiere, if only to see if the accents are as bad as in the film Fargo; thankfully they're not. ;)

It starts out with a

Spoiler
rather gruesome murder
, and as a new character arrives in town it appears there are a lot of secrets and all is not "happy" in Haplin.

As the pilot went on it reminded me very much of the 1990s series Twin Peaks, set in Washington State and centered around the

Spoiler
apparent murder of someone named Laura Palmer.

That this similarity was intentional was confirmed when the new girl in town noted that she's from Snoqualmie, Washington (the real-life location that served as the setting for Peaks).

It didn't grab me too much, however (I didn't see much of Twin Peaks either; most of my acquiantance with it came through fans at work who were thrilled that I'd been to Snoqualmie Falls. ;)) )

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Just finished watching the first season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles a few days ago. I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected too. Really liked Cameron and John. At first, I wasn't too sure about Sarah, but I like her now. Derek still kinda annoys me though.

Now I'm working on the first season of Burn Notice and greatly enjoying it. I love how quirky all the characters are.

I totally forgot about this until you posted it, but I got to watch it and it was really amazing. The way they shot the scenes makes it look like an actual film, and the quality is amazing. It makes the history so much more interesting, and was really a great show. (The only thing that bugged me was they didn't do much with the journey of Lewis and Clark, but other than that I loved it)

I only just started watching that a little this year (I think it was the fourth season...not the best place to start, but it was still good :) ) and really liked it. I agree, the characters are probably the one of the best things about the show IMHO (it seems it's that way with many of USA's original series' though, I love Psych (Shawn and Gus are hilarious :P) and White Collar, and Monk was a favorite as well)

Bad news for FlashForward fans. According to Entertainment Weekly and Film.com, ABC has canceled the show. They have renewed V though.

There are few things I love more than Terminator (though that sounds strange to some people :p), and The Sarah Connor Chronicles capitalized on everything compelling about the concept and characters - it has so much dramatic potential that is barely touched upon in the movies. Glad to see more people are discovering the show!

And yes, I love TSCC's John. He has so much humanity. I also love Derek (he's a Reese, how can I not?) - I like the contrast set up between him and Kyle.

"A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word 'darkness' on the walls of his cell." (C.S. Lewis, The Problem of Pain)

Yes, John is so much more interesting in TSCC. In the newest movie, he was so bland and two dimensional. It wasn't a very interesting portrayal.

And Heroes has been axed as well. Not surprised at all.
