We've been watching more TV programs lately... So here's an updated list:
Old:
Hogan's Heroes
The Beverly Hillbillies
Horatio Hornblower

Newer:
Psych

And my older brothers have seen the last 4 episodes of "24"... I haven't heard their take on it yet. :)

So lately I've mostly been seeing Psych and Hogan's Heroes... Psych is pretty enjoyable, minus the scattered swearing and some weird elements sometimes.

Heroes and 24 air at the same time for me, so I've been watching Jack's adventures as they air and catching up on Heroes later. I think season 4 is picking up, and the season finale airs next Monday. (Just as well there's one less thing to watch, now that Lost has started up again. ;)) ).

Castle has been pretty good lately as well. Incidentally, the first 10 chapters of Heat Wave - Richard Castle's fictional mystery, are available on abc.com.

I wouldn't recommend reading it though, the Castle book. Apparently it's not very well written, and within those first 10 chapters is the infamous "bedroom scene" mentioned in the show. :|

LOST on tonight! Will be watching it with my family. :) Then I'll need to get caught up with Castle and Legend of the Seeker. Almost done with Stargate Atlantis and almost caught up with Supernatural. At the beginning of Dollhouse's second season.

P.S."Brooklyn!"

Thanks for that advisory comment about Heat Wave, Ryan.

I've caught up with Dollhouse. The series ends (rather than being left hanging, like Firefly was), but the second season becomes a lot darker as it goes along.

Last night 24 - Season 8 premiered here in Australia. I don't think it was as pulse-pounding as it could've been but I enjoyed it very much. is so cute and quite a decent actress. The new CTU building is pretty swish too. I can't wait to see what happens in episode 3 (but frankly LOST is occupying my mind).

I've been watching the reboot of Battlestar Galactica - Season 1 on dvd. It's very good so far. Just not for children or young teenagers. It's rather sensual at times but thought-provoking and well written.

Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11

Don't tell my Trek-loving friends ;) , but I've been watching episodes of Lost in Space (they're available both on imdb and Hulu). I remember watching some of these when it first aired, or when it was syndicated in the 70s.

Both shows were made in the mid-60s and I'm noticing a number of similarities between them in special effects, aliens (though LIS seems to tend more toward bug-eyed monsters than does early Trek), and even plotlines (both have "space hippie" and "Spock's Brain"-type episodes, among others, and the "I don't want to grow up" episodes ("Miri" in Trek and "The Magic Mirror" in LIS) even share the same guest in a similar role (Michael J. Pollard).

The story goes that Gene Roddenberry originally pitched Trek to CBS, but the network declined, saying "We already have a science fiction show" (LIS). The rest, as they say, is history. Still, LIS did have a movie late in the 90s (featuring cameos from most of the original actors). And wikipedia notes that LIS actually had higher ratings than Trek in their respective original runs. Trek just benefited from lots of syndication. And Doctor Smith's whining gets a little old after a while. ;))

IMDB also has the unaired original pilot, "No Place to Hide," which does not include the robot or Doctor Smith.

stargazer, Me and my sister are going to start watching Lost in Space again to. :)
As soon as we're done rewatching the G1(1 Generation) Transformers cartoons (Yeah, we watch them, their corny but we like them. :p :) )

My dad always told me and my sister about Lost in Space, and when they came out on DVD we bought them and watched them all. We've been wanting to rewatch them. I love the robot. :)

"Warning, Will Robinson! Danger!"

Enjoy your viewing, 7chronicles!

The season 4 finale of Heroes aired earlier this week, and I finally got around to watching it. On the whole, I was pleasantly surprised.

Season 4 finale spoilers:

Spoiler
I expected resolution to this season's carnival storyline, and it was given. There were a few other things I didn't fully expect but liked:

Sylar (who, in my opinion, has long since worn out his welcome as a villain) is taking serious steps toward redemption by helping free Emma and foil Samuel's plans - he actually saved lots of lives rather than taking them.

And the Hiro-Charlene (Charlie) romance was nicely resolved, I thought. Earlier this season, Samuel sent her somewhere in time; in this finale we find that he sent her to 1944; now she's about 65 years older, dying yet happily surrounded by loving children and grandchildren. Hiro accepts that she's happy and moves on.

Next season is set up by a theme often explored in this show: what happens when the ordinary world finds out that people with abilities exist? This time Claire does it by jumping off a Ferris Wheel in front of TV cameras.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

G1 Transformers was outstanding, although it's been a number of years since I last saw it. Dinobots rule!

So far the best thing about season 8 is the Renee/Jack plot. Renee has stolen every scene she is in and is proving to be one of the best 24 characters. And her recent little outburst in last weeks episode (don't want to spoil anything), was definitly surprising.

The worst part of it though is

Spoiler
Dana Walsh being blackmailed about her hick boyfriend. (Mild Spoilers ahead) First of all CTU would (or should) know Dana was not her original name, as they would (in the real world) do an extensive background check. Dana is the weakest character in TV history because she is so worried about her reputation and her secret getting out to her fiancee, that she's willing to give her ex passcodes to steal a lot of money. IDIOT!!! If you are working at CTU, your job is to uphold the law and stop terrorists. Not use your knowlege to help petty criminals. DANA NEEDS TO GET FIRED!!!! If that doesnt happen, I'll be more then glad to see her joing the hundreds of killed off characters in the show. 24 has had some annoying/stupid characters with dumb subplots in the past but this is BY FAR the worst!!!!

Sorry for the outburst, but I really really don't like Dana.

I agree with your comments on this season of 24, Josh.

Spoiler
Dana works for a Homeland Security-type organizatio; it's mighty hard to believe that her prison record and alias wouldn't have come to light in the background check. She's so strongly compromised by her background that agents in the field have been put into unnecessary danger more than once - sure, that may be a plot device, but if so it's a bit sloppy writing. Perhaps it'll be explained as the season goes on, but it remains hard to believe they every would have hired her.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Hasbro and Discovery Channel are joining together for a new TV station called Hub:

Starting this fall, Discovery and Hasbro will be launching a new kid's network called "The Hub". While not officially confirmed, it is assumed that the flagship series will be Transformers: Prime.

Here is a picture of their logo, and if you notice Bumblebee seems to be based more on movies verison, which I love because I love the movies. :)
