Lost fans will enjoy this article about how each character on the show would make a PB&J sandwhich. My favorite is Locke's. :p

Waah, reading your spoilers make me realize I REALLY need to rewatch the previous season. I'm so out of it! :-o

That's a funny article Valiant_Lucy! =)) Thanks for telling us about it!
I'm so ready for the Sixth Season of Lost, we are just about to start rewatching the first season again, thought it would be fun to rewatch the beginning of the series before we watch the end.

Oh, and could someone tell me how to put the spoiler bar on a post, I can't figure it out? It's probably right in front of me. :p

Thanks so much Valiant_Lucy! I don't think I would have figured that one out.

Me and my sister started watching the third season of Lost two and a half weeks ago, and then we wanted to watch the second season. By the time we were done watching the second season, we decided to watch the first. I told my sister that we should have watched all of the seasons backwards because

Spoiler
/ when Jack nuked the island he thought to would reverse everything, so thought it would be funny to watch them all backwards. :p
but we didn't have time, since the sixth season begins only a week from tuesday :-o :D :) :p

A few pages back there was some discussion of the BBC's new adaptation of Emma starring Romola Garai. Most of us who discussed it then watched it in the US by *ahem* questionable means via internet. However, now PBS Masterpiece is airing it officially in the US and I found this really wonderful audio commentary on the characters by Romola Garai herself and the reasoning behind the way that the characters were played by each of the actors. I don't always agree, but it's great to hear the very eloquent Garai describe the rationale.

Nice article Val! Why is Desmond's sandwich making process backwards?

I think this is a reference to his

I'm rather sad, cause my parents are hosting a church small group at our house every Tuesday night...which happens to be the night Lost is playing. And they will be using the room with the TV. *sniff sniff* I guess I'll have to watch it online the next morning....

I feel your pain. I think I'm scheduled to work that night so I'm in the same boat as you. Well, it's a long shot, but you could always "suggest" that your group watches Lost that night and have an open discussion on the um..."spiritual" aspects of the show.

I know...a very long shot. ;))

I lead a Bible study that meets on Tuesdays. What to do, what to do...? I think like half the people in the Bible Study watch the show too, so we'll see what happens. ;)) My co-leader even watches the show.

Oh, thanks Shadowlander. I guess that makes sense.

Yes, you could definitely have some great talk about self-sacrifice, suffering, sin, death, life, redemption, free will versus destiny, science versus faith and a whole host of topics.

The LOST sandwich link was great!

Found a great interview with the LOST writers (very long though). The third and final part will be out later in the week:

I to am going to be busy on the premiere night of Lost :-s I just got news this morning that we are going to be watching my four younger cousins that night until eight or nine, which is right in the middle of the episode! :(( But my mom is going to get our really old VCR and record it on tape so we can watch it as soon as we get home :D Maybe Valiant_Lucy and Shadowlander you could record it some how, with a DVR or VCR :)

Also I'm not sure if anyone else have seen these, They are called Lost missing pieces. I watched them I think like a year ago.

IGN's description:
Lost: Missing Pieces are 13 two to three minute stories of compelling, new, never-before-seen moments from the hit television show Lost. These newly-created scenes (not deleted scenes from previous episodes) reveal answers and new details about your favorite characters. For each story, we leave it up to the fans to figure out where these pieces fit into the overall mythology. The new stories are from the same creative team responsible for the series and feature the show's main actors in stories that have all the compelling values that make Lost one of the most popular dramas on television around the world.

Here is IGN's link to the episode names:
http://tv.ign.com/objects/142/14219096.html

And here is a link to the first episode called "The Watch" on Youtube if anyone is interested.

It's not quite the same thing, but I'm reminded of an event that happened 24 years ago this week. Our weekly Bible study was scheduled to meet the evening the Challenger exploded, and it was actually quite therapeutic to watch the TV coverage together and discuss things. (Certainly the premiere of a fictional TV show is not the same; I just had a brief walk down memory lane there).

I'm really not that much of a couch potato, but I confess I'll be in front of the tube next Tuesday evening armed with VCR and munchies. ;))

7chronicles, I guess the Missing Pieces were originally released online and to mobile phones. I'd not heard of them (except on Lostpedia) until they were included as bonus materials on the season 4 DVD set. A brief description of each can be found here. I found them interesting to watch as some provide a little extra background on some of the incidental characters (like Dr Arzt). Probably the one I liked the most was "So It Begins" in which

Spoiler
Christian Shepard tells Vincent to go wake up his son because he has work to do, and we find out this is immediately prior to the series opener in which the dog finds Jack in the jungle.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Interesting....

Yes, I enjoyed the Missing Pieces (especially the 'So It Begins' video). My goodness! Can you think of the implications? Fascinating stuff. Anyway, I hope to see more of Vincent (just a dog? really? or more than he seems?) this season. I believe he and Aaron are quite important to this season.

Here's a great theory from the all-knowing LOST guru Doc Jensen:

No set date for the Australian premiere of LOST. All they say is 'after the tennis'. Bah. I'll have to learn to be patient. ;)

I am extremely excited about the Lost final series. My brother literally tied me to a chair last summer and forced me to watch all 5 previous series', now I'm completely enthralled by it!

I have no clue what's going to happen, everytime I think I like a theory someone'll shoot it down for me - guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I loved that sandwich article - Sawyer 'I don't need no sandwich'. Aww, bless his little cotton socks, he really does need a sandwich.
