I wish both teams would lose! But since one team HAS to win, I will be a Steelers fan this weekend!
Eh, since I don't really have grudges against any particular football teams, I think I'll side with the Packers. I usually want the team furthest West to win. Power to the West!
Booo Packers! As a Pennslavanian you are either a Steelers or an Eagles fan. Everyone outside of Philly is a Steeler fan. Which of course lands me in the Steeler section of the state (majority ) Steelers all the way baby.
BTW: Last time these teams met, Steelers won .
If you ain't first, you're last.
BTW: Last time these teams met, Steelers won .
The Patriots could have said that when they met the NY Giants in the superbowl a few years back.
I hate both teams...
my dad is rooting for the Packers though so I guess the smallest part of me is rooting for them
NW twin to Georgiefan! NW sib to 22!
avvie by AslansChild thank you!!!
I'm rooting for the Packers 'cause I don't like Ben Rothlisberger Or the Steelers in general, for some reason unknown to even myself
Thank goodness the half time show is over. I coudn't stand the screamingchanting that is the Black Eyed Peas and muted it.
THE VINCE LOMBARDI TROPHY IS COMING HOME!!!!

Gee, I do think you're excited
I was rooting for the Packers but didn't really expect them to win, so I was pleasantly surprised.
Congrats to the Packers! I found the game pretty entertaining.
Any thoughts on this year's comercials? None seemed to really jump out at me, but the kid-as-Darth Vader car ad was among my favorites this time round.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
As the individual conference tournaments come to a close the stage is getting set for the Big Dance, the NCAA Tournament! As pretty much the only college basketball fan on Narniaweb, I vow to keep everyone updated with information and statistics on teams they don't follow and games they won't watch. That's just how nice a guy I am!
And remember, pull for your Duke Blue Devils this year...they have a genuine chance at winning a back to back NCAA Championship...something that hasn't been done in a very long time!
Go Duke!!

My school, UTEP, hosted the C-USA Tournament this year and the Men got beat in the Championship game by one point to Memphis. We got denied an at-large bid but there is still the NIT tournament.
On an individual note, I had solid results at a local fencing tournament yesterday. We had 15 fencers show up for both my Foil and Epee events. I finished 4th in Foil, earning my E2011 rating (ratings go from U to E, D, C, B, A at the highest). I had been searching for that rating for several years, but I kept getting one or two places short or having one or two fencers short of raising the quality competition to get the rating. I got it by winning a very tight quarter-final bout 9-8 in overtime against a fencer also desperately seeking his rating. I nearly had 3rd place but was beat 15-13 in another neck-and-neck bout. Then in Epee, I finished 6th out of 15, updating my already acquired E rating from last year. Now I will keep them for four years, but will need to renew them or get a higher rating before I lose it.
This was a solid performance in my final competitive tournament before going to the Collegiate Club National Championships in Chicago in four weeks. That is going to be one intense and physically brutal tournament but going to be a blast. Anyone in the Chicago area on April 9-10, I'll be competing at the University of Chicago all day both days.

The Final Four begins on Saturday, marking the end of March Madness. And the last ones standing are: Connecticut, Kentucky, Butler, and Virginia Commonwealth... And I thought last year was nutty.
Some random facts:
-VCU is the third team in NCAA Tournament history to make the final four as a #11 seed. The others were LSU in '86 and George Mason in '06, who both lost.
-This is the first final four to not have at least one #1 or #2 seed. The highest remaining seed is Connecticut, a #3.
-The combined seeding of the four teams is 26, another first.
-This is the craziest final four ever. Yes, that's a fact, not an opinion.
Personally, I want Butler to win the whole thing. VCU would be the next best thing. I can't wait.
Mark my words, someday I will think of something brilliant to put in my sig.
Anyone know one of the two people remaining that still have an intact bracket? I don't. Out of 5.9 million people, only two got the Final Four correct. Try to predict anything still and you will be surprised. I too am going for Butler, then VCU to win.
On the basketball topic, in the pros, the Playoffs are getting set up. Right now the playoff bound teams are Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, Atlanta Hawks, Phily 76ers, NY Knicks, and Indiana Pacers. Charlotte Bobcats and Milwaukee Bucks are within striking distance of the Pacers.
In the West, we've got San Antonio Spurs, LA Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, OKC Thunder, Denver Nuggets, Portland Trailblazers, New Orleans Hornets, and Memphis Grizzlies. Only Houston Rockets are close enough to make a run to knock one of these teams out.
And a lot of commotion is being made about the aftermath of the biggest trade of the season: Carmelo Anthony to the Knicks for a bunch of starters and nobodies to the Nuggets. So far NY Knicks have gone downhill with a sub-500 record since the trade and dropped to 7th in the East. They will play either the Celtics or the Heat in the playoffs (I believe Chicago will stay at the top). But Denver (my team) has been lethally hot since the trade going 12-4. They are winning against winning teams, on the road, and they are obliterating weaker teams at home. Without a single 'star' on their roster, Denver has shown to be a dangerous threat in the playoffs. But we will see how that goes in the next two weeks.

The Cardinals and the Royals both won yesterday. That makes the Cardinals 5-7 and the Royals 7-4. Go Cardinals! Go Royals!
Anyone else have a team or two?
