Umm...Yes, and yes ;) ! In fact they are both out. I posted a link for Born of Hope on the last page. You can watch it there.

You can watch Hunt For Gollum here:

Yes they're both about an hour or less, Liberty.

they are both fanfilms made from low budgets, but extremely well done and free to the public to watch! :)

The Hunt for Gollum is about 45 minutes and Born of Hope is about an hour and 10 minutes long. And their budgets--while certainly low compared to Hollywood budgets--are not that low. They don't look low-budget.

They have very high, professional production values. And they both have a consistent look with Peter Jackson's films. They even both feature some brief relatively high quality CGI characters. Just click the links and enjoy, Liberty. :D

The casting for Hobbit extras begins next week! *wishes she was a New Zealand resident right now* :D

And P.S., having a short window of time now: I squeezed in a viewing of Born of Hope one evening this past week: overall, an excellent and poignant film. I found it even more enjoyable than The Hunt for Gollum, as BoH had a fuller fleshed-out storyline. (I'll say more on this later ...)

Bilbo Baggins might be played by... Tobey Macguire?!??!?? WHAT?!??!?!?!?!?

I like Tobey. But I cannot see him as Bilbo.

Source (one bad word warning)

ETA: NEVER MIND!

TORn debunked it. That was fast.

99.9% of the time, I"m good (I have to be to post Narnia news ;)) ). But I had two problems with this one. First, the site that posted it is very reliable. Two, he wasn't cast, he was in-talks. So my normal red flags weren't there (aside from who it was they were talking about). This was waaaaaay more reliable than say... Daniel Radcliffe? ;))

Love Maguire, and I love Radcliffe--but they ain't Bilbo (a young Frodo maybe). But in a Bizarro World where these guys were the only two choices, it would have to the English Dude ;) .

Tobey Macguire is the guy that played Spider-Man in the three Spider-Man movies.
