Thanks for that tip, Gymmie. It netted me a quick 0.5mil. ;))

Yeah, I've been hoping for the same thing for a while, DiGs. Can you imagine going for a boss mouse in the LG with a Shattering Charm and a ULC/UPC? 8-}

I'm up to just over 2.5mil after buying a handful of the charms I thought might be useful or re-sellable. I also bought some powdered bleach because I figure it will either skyrocket in price or be useful down the line once I get my Washboard Base (which I'll be trying to finish this next Toxic Spill, but I'm not even halfway to the required Suds amount, so we'll see). I plan to keep farming charge eggs and LG supplies for a while, if not until the end of the event.

Yeah, thanks Gymmie. Great tip. :D I am sadly out of charge charms :( but I have a small stash of MM to use next year, and I have a hefty amount of gold and SB+ so I think I'm in good shape. :) But I have gobs and gobs of eggstra charms so those I will probably smash and sell.

@DiGs and Eli, great idea, but I have some bad news for you. ;)) Back in the day when they invented the Conduit Lv 1 (or whatever it's called), that was exactly what they intended to do with Lv 2... use more than one charm. But that was also before we had Ultimate Charms and whatnot. ;)) So they have said they won't ever go there because it'd be too overpowered and have changed the Conduit Lv. 1 to just Conduit.

In other news, I have FINALLY caught the Shattered Carmine (thank you Chrome POWN) and FINALLY crafted my first Ultimate Charm. :D So I can check that goal off the list.

Ready for the Toxic Spill. :) Working on an M400 in the meantime.

When Ronza arrived, I had just reached 38 mil. This morning I was counting up and finding that I had spent 39 mil and had between 4 and 5 mil left.

Right now I popped into her shop for a last shopping spree before she leaves, and spent another couple of mil :p Basically more of the same of charms and powders.

I FTCed a Garga this morning :(( But right now I'm back from the shop and got a Warpath egg - that's some consolation :p

It gave me one star for the location. Only location not having a star now is the Rift - I'll try to do something about it before the end of the Hunt, as well as finishing the last two items of the M400 assignment.

Edit:
Went back to FW, tried some streaks and finally got a good one - and got a Garga! B-)

Congrats on your Garga Egg, Varna :)

A few bits of news from the past couple days worth posting (if you didn't already see it on FB).

~Last day of the egg hunt is Tuesday, May 27.

~Today on Art FBF, Jacob shared a couple spoilers. One is that the next release is going to be quite large. There are at least 54 mice drawn for it so far and the artists are working to get more done. The other thing he said, and I don't know whether to take this as a hint or not, but he said he'd share some of Lauren and Sarah's art next Art FBF and that would be in two weeks. Soooo.... does that mean the new area won't be out for a bit still?

~The recipe for the polluted base has been discovered...

Polluted Base
~Polluted Base Blueprints
~800 Pollutinum
~615 Radioactive Sludge
~1195 Living Shard
~78 Scrap Metal

I crafted it, here are the stats and description

A simulated spill was safely poured onto this base to mask it from its surroundings. Hard to distinguish between the actual spill itself, it allows the pollution of the Toxic Spill to seep through it, adding a chance for mice to drop a Radioactive Curd. Additionally, the Polluted Base will react with Polluted Charms, increasing the core radiation and using that energy to add extra Luck!

Power: 500
Power Bonus: 10%
Attraction Bonus: none
Luck: 5
Cheese Effect: Stale

By itself it's not as good as the GTB, so it has to be paired with the various polluted charms. It's too late tonight to compare the Polluted Base + Charm vs. GTB + Champion Charms, so I'll have to look into it tomorrow.

Discovered once the Oasis Water Node is under the Chrome Upgrade from Ronza, the Hunter's Hammer cannot be used to obtain Oasis Water Node trap parts. It is in the fine print. It is more than adequate for runs through the Gauntlet.

Will eventually acquire the Phantasmic Oasis Water Node, but that will require runs through the Warpath to acquire ANOTHER Oasis Bead. ;)) Will focus on getting the other trap upgrades and eventually head back to the Gauntlet.

I reached my goal for this spill. Got my large canister. Now to work on the washboard base. I've got 74 soapy suds. 326 more to go.

I think it'll be awhile.

Any tips for farming suds other than don't make soapy charms?

@Cep, yeah, I was feeling pretty bad for you about that. Out of curiosity though, how do the stats on the Chrome OWN compare to the regular POWN? I haven't looked, but if they're not too far apart, maybe you can just skip the POWN altogether?

@Kat, with the exception of the previous spill, I saved almost all of my charms until Knight and Hero levels. The Hazmat and Lab Technician mice just seemed easier to attract then, but I haven't checked the official stats to see if this is the case. At the very least, I didn't want them stealing my points and leveling capabilities away from me with the high level mice. ;)) But this may not have been the best tactic as I could have gotten the Washboard Base even sooner if I had pushed earlier. (I bought tons of Super Rotten Charms off the Marketplace. )

I had not realized just how many Sludge I've been burning through with these Toxic Spills. I think I started off with somewhere around 4000 or so? And now I'm down to 700. Eep! I did burn a lot on the Polluted Base (which I'm not sure was worth it) but even so... definitely want to build my stockpile back up while I can. If you hadn't seen it on FB, I'll post here too: Please send me Sludge as a daily gift! I don't want to run out.

I also realized tonight that with the Chrome POWN, the Soapy POWN skin is now useless to me and I have crafted every other single thing I want in the Toxic Spill, with the exception of the theme collectible.
But the Spill still remains the place to go to level quickly. I don't know about the lower levels, but I gain about 4-6% per spill towards Archduchess, which is fast compared to all the other locations in the game. Almost to 80%. I feel like I'm soooo close.

Thanks guys. I'm up to 115 soapy suds. I'm running light on charms and bait and I've been through enough of both at the moment that I don't really want to spend anymore. Maybe I'll go back to the warpath and try and finish my latest run. Not quite sure what to do next. I need to do trains, but I don't have a lot of extra time. Maybe 6hr ones I can pull off.

For this experiment, I will be using the Sphynx Wrath + Golden Shield.

Rift Base + Ancient Charm
Power: 8827
Luck: 48
Attraction: 15%

Golden Tournament Base + Champion Charm
Power: 9100
Luck: 47
Attraction: 20%

Polluted Base + Polluted Charm
Power: 7920
Luck: 41
Attraction: 10%

Polluted Base + Super Polluted Charm
Power: 7920
Luck: 43
Attraction 10%

Polluted Base + Extreme Polluted Charm
Power: 7920
Luck: 47
Attraction: 10%

Polluted Base + Ultimate Polluted Charm
Power: 7920
Luck: 52
Attraction: 10%

So there you go. The only one that's arguably better (in certain situations) for us top level players is the Ultimate Polluted Charm because it does have a nice amount of luck. Not really that spectacular otherwise. :( Definitely a good base and charm matchup for the lower level players, but probably not one I'll use too often myself as almost all of the recent areas have favored power-based setups. We'll see.

Spend most of last spill + all of this spill hunting ONE Canister ring = 0 drops till yesterday.

Craft Large Barrel yesterday = 3 Canister rings in Toxic Spill eggs since then.

Really?! ;))

ETA: Make that 4. ;)

Out of curiosity though, how do the stats on the Chrome OWN compare to the regular POWN? I haven't looked, but if they're not too far apart, maybe you can just skip the POWN altogether?

OWN: 5,200; 12%; 10%; 20; No Effect.
COWN: 5,500; 15%; 5%; 24; Fresh

POT: 5,850; 15%; 20%; 26; No Effect
CPOT: 6,200; 20%; 15%; 28; Very Fresh

Already thought of just skipping the POT. If I find myself with a mess of gold to spare, I may pick it up. Maybe.

If our team keeps going at this rate, we'll break into the top 10 in this tournie. There's only 29 teams participating, but it's still pretty good.

EDIT: Bam! We took 6th place! Top 25 is always a good place to be!

Nice DiGs! Congrats. :D

*rubs hands together and ponders how to best prepare for the upcoming area* I don't feel like I'm really hurting for gold. I have over 9mil which isn't bad considering Ronza just left. But I think I need to stop bouncing around hunting M400s because even though it's a ton of fun to catch one, it's not really helping me with gold or points (cause even though you get a ton of points, you lose a lot if you're stuck in the Meadow for a day :P ). So I think what I'm going to do is get the M400 I'm currently working on, finish up the Easy map I'm on, and then settle down between the Warpath and Rift. Warpath for gold (and maybe some trap components?) and the Rift in case I need the stuff there for the next area.

Of course, the nice benefits of bouncing all over Gnawnia is that I'm about to bag two more Gold Crowns. :D I'm at 498 Polar Bear mice and 493 Thistle Mice.

Missed the first half of FBF today, but thankfully they posted a review on the forum cause the video does not want to load. Lots of spoilers. I'll summarize and then if you all want to go read you can. :)

~Next area will be large, it will be underwater, and we have to learn to hold our breath. :P It's pretty much done, but because it's so massive, they're taking extra time play testing to look for bugs. Oh, and it's going to be Count level.

~There will be some sort of mini-event next week, although what it will entail is being kept secret. I'm assuming therefore, we won't see the new area for at least a week and a half.

~They're overhauling the Marketplace.

~They have already started working on the next Year of the Noble location, but it's too early and too soon for spoilers.
