How many cubes/compasses did you use for your Treasury run? I'd like to do it eventually but I also want to keep making runs at the Retired Minotaur and craft as many keys as I can since RRSGold and trap loot parts are the priority. Do you pretty much NEED to get a Treasury door after your first hallway in order to have a decent shot?

^^ Those were the days, eh? I remember you started playing at a really weird time that made progression pretty lop-sided for you (you started during Event season right), so I can see how there would have been a huge difference in your points and gold.

I started a couple of weeks before Halloween - so without following the proper weapon progression, I was soon exposed to mice that were really way above my rank, and got loads of points rather fast. The gold didn't always follow - but then again I got some welcoming gifts and other gold gifts from other NWeb MouseHunters instead (thanks a lot! ).

My first Egg Hunt was the first one using High Charge Eggs, and I quickly (thanks to the fora) picked up on the cycling strategy. I just about doubled the amount of gold in my inventory during those weeks (including a couple of extra weeks because of the downtime caused by the server attack that year).

Today I've got more than a million gold during less than a day. I'm in my first Treasure Vault, with 104 clues, and got the theme scrap - I used roughly 1 shuffler's cube per hallway, I guess 6 or 7 in all, and 1 magnet.

I just bronzed the Molten Midas, after having caught him for the first time this morning. That's one mil from him only

My current project is to get the Endless Labyrinth trap. I bought the blueprints today, and I've got the tech and the scholar boss loots, only the Infused Plate is missing. By the time that's dealt with, I reckon I'll have the required 150 each of the easy loot.

So it shouldn't take too long - only it may have to wait during the upcoming event. And I don't expect to even try for the Minotaur until much further into the event season

Ugh, had the worst DHU on this normal Scholar run...I swear I had to use at least 4 Shuffle cubes. Never had the worst time getting the right doors. Oh well, I'm almost done and after this I just need a short Fealty run and then I can have another go at the Retired Minotaur. I figure I'll be spending the majority of my time in the Laby outside of events until the Furoma Rift opens, so I'm not worried about "setting up" for Easter.

I got a RRSG, so I won't be upgrading any traps soon.

I'm not sure what to do next. I need to do a little more Easter prep, I suppose. There's also a Toxic Spill coming (and I'm still not an Archduke). I'm only missing 2 TS mice, the Magmatic Golem, and the Diamondhyde from the regular mice. I still need the Mobster but I doubt I'll get that anytime soon. (I noticed that the "official" check-mark-able list of event mice no longer counts the prize mice for the numbers.)

I've got the supplies for picking up the few eggs I'm still missing (although I could use a few more Magmatic Crystal charms and I need to recharge my amplifier) and should be pretty well set for any new eggs this year. I need to replenish my GG supplies, but otherwise I'm good.

Interesting tidbit of news today from FBF. As soon as the cruise comes to an end next week, they're going to start a Labyrinth mini-event. Here's the description Dave posted:

Next week a new mini-event will be coming to the Labyrinth that will challenge hunters with recovering six pieces of a mysterious Puzzle Box from the Labyrinth or Zokor. You'll hunt through Fealty, Scholar, and Tech hallways to recover the lost puzzle pieces and piece them back together.

Inside the assembled puzzle box is a new aura that will last for the rest of the month and give your trap a few unique bonuses in the Labyrinth and Zokor!

So if you're questioning which hallway to work through over the weekend, definitely farming!

I'm currently on a Minotaur run, but that should finish soon, perhaps even today if I'm lucky. And then it's onto a farming run. I need to remember to go buy more lantern oil with my Cruise Bux.

I was JUST about to start a Mino run, haha. I suppose I could still do it during the event, since I'd theoretically hit all the hallways at once. We'll see. Almost done at the Spill, and then I'll be finishing up my Zokor run and by the time I'm done the event should have started.

I got my last Laby theme scrap last night and now I'm in the longest farming hall ever. That's ok though because I'm saving the last dredges of my SB for whatever areas open up next which means the three piece GG conversion. I need as much nightshade as possible.

I'm looking forward to the mini event starting later today. I still need three more RRSG and all of the trap pieces, so hopefully the aura will help get closer to finishing this area up.

Well once i finally got rolling on collecting puzzle box pieces, I got them quickly, it just took a while to get started. I have my Laby Aura now, so my goal is simple, catch as many of the three leaders as I can before March 1st.
I'm currently doing a Tech run, followed by Scholar, and then Fealty. Rinse and Repeat after that. I'm saving the rest of my Mino runs until later so I can stock up on supplies while there's definitely a bonus to do so.

Got my first minotaur. Glad that's over with. Going to go for another farming or treasure round. I need supplies now badly. If they do a minotaur egg, I don't think I'm going after it this year. This was kind of frustrating trying to balance my schedule and keeping the hunting going. I need a scholar and a tech run anyways. Probably a fealty run too. I don't think I have enough time for another full run.

Upped my rewards. I maxed out the gold and the gifts I can send and receive. I also added GG cheese to my daily rewards.

I got the aura and then went on a Tech run rather than a Scholar run, which I ought to have chosen - I'm wildly unbalanced at the moment.

I hope to go on 6 district boss runs before the end of the mini-event - I'm on the 2nd now. They should give me my first Minotaur key.

I thought I might get things faster if I retreated after each boss, but now I think that would be a waste of Stealth and of potential loot. I certainly need every Scholar Scroll I can lay my hands on.

Finally got the ELT - just as the mini-event started. I also bought the SoS when the Spill opened. And I'm close to 5 mil gold again. The Laby isn't a bad place for gold, and the Zokor is even better.

Congrats on your ELT and SoS Varna! My husband got the Infinite Labyrinth Trap yesterday... stinker.

I'm making one final attempt at a boss before the end of the event. I'd like to complete another Scholar run to even out my key/loot items per hallway. Thus far I'm getting some DLU so it may be possible, but we'll see if I can hold out or not. The biggest problem is that i'm just about out of GG cheese so I may have to pop out to the FC to farm more nightshade. We'll see what happens.
Thumbs up on this mini-event. I'm very glad to have lots of Minotaur keys ready to go and I'll be sure to save one for the egg hunt.
The devs said this event has been very popular and they'll likely bring it back in the future.

I finished all of the things to do at the event as far as I can tell, other than the treasure map. I don't know about all of you, but it seems a lot harder this year than previous years. Once you run out of cupcake colby, it's time consuming to restock.
I'm trying to decide if there's really anything else i want to do here, or if i should just take off and stockpile cheese for next year via daily gifts. I can peek back in as i get cupcakes as a daily reward and gifts from friends.

I've been feeling the same way, FK. It seems harder to get cheese and cupcakes both this year. I'm going to try to get the journal theme and then duck out like you. I'd like to work more on maps I think but that's easy enough to do hopping about aside from event mice.

Honestly I'm a little disgruntled. It's so much harder than last year, and not hard in a, you gotta work for the good rewards kind of way. Just hard in that it's really, really hard to get your hands on a decent supply of cheese. I was bored so I donated for a basket of cheese thinking that that would kickstart my supply so I could get the cycle of drops going, but honestly you don't get ANY potion drops when you're hunting with ESCC, which makes it a sinking hole. It's really frustrating. I'm still hunting here because free loot is free loot, but it's definitely not as fun as last year.

Yeah, I noticed with the GWH as well, for those of us who had massive piles of leftover cheese, it was great, but Ara's fiance had a HORRIBLE time and finally had to donate to get some Christmas cheeses just to get going. I think their calibrations are a bit off. I mean, I had no trouble finishing this event, but I certainly haven't been farming the area like in past years. I spent a lot of my time in the Laby yesterday and then back to the Cupcake area overnight because I want to crown a couple more mice, but that's not a big deal to me so I'm kind of meh about the rest of the event.
