And no more travel charges! I've already taken advantage of this by traveling three places back to back because I decided I wanted to hunt somewhere else. LOL
I think this is a record for the longest period of time this thread has not been posted in. But there's not too much happening on MH right now.
I thought I'd post a quick personal update that I am up to 3/9 pieces of the Treasure Map theme. Thank you to those of you who keep taking me along on maps. I'm trying to be as useful as possible to make up for constantly hitching a ride.
And while this isn't exactly a goal of mine in the game, I'm also really enjoying the increase of silver King's Crowns I've been getting. I'm even getting close to another couple golden crowns.
I've been doing mostly Elaborate and Arduous maps, so I haven't had the opportunity to collaborate a treasure map with finishing up the Town of Gnawnia adventure in my adventure book. That is also on my to-do list, but no hurry on that. I'll get it one of these days.
Is there any eta on the Labyrinth? I assume before the Halloween event.
I've been without proper net access most of this weekend, so I've missed out on the short event - but I had at least a lot of that cheese left over from the last similar event. Maybe I'll be able to do some of the event before it's over.

I typically skip out on the Zombie invasions, but I did participate a tiny bit because of a treasure map. I've been spending the majority of my MHing time lately helping DiGs with his FC treasure maps. I'd like to get the theme for this area, but I'm not having a lot of luck attracting Crystal Behemoths with my Diamond Cheese. I did snag one this morning, so that was good, but of course afterwards I discovered my Baitkeep Charms, which I had totally forgotten I had, and that would have been nice if I had used them. Ah well.
Anyways, what I came in here to actually post about is that I just downloaded the patch on my tablet for the Labyrinth, so when Hitgrab opens the area, I'll be ready. That says to me it's coming next week at the latest, probably Tuesday, but it could be even sooner than that.
So for those of you who plan on hitting the Labyrinth as soon as it comes out, make sure you've purchased your keys from the Cartographer in the Fungal Cavern, and I think it's a good idea to have the Crystal Crucible trap too.
I finished the adventure book a couple of weeks ago. I liked that addition to the game.
Not really sure I'll venture into the labyrinth when it opens. I'm thinking I'm going to try and keep going on getting the traps I need to first. I went ahead and bought two predatory processors off the marketplace. So all I need for the rune shark and school of sharks traps is a LOT of gold. I've got about 600 minerals to go before I can get the fungal cavern trap. Oh and gold. Maybe if I can catch up on those, catching up on the labyrinth won't take too long.
I'm only a short way into the Fungal Cavern, and still have thing to finish in Sunken City and WW Rift, so I think it would be better to get more of those done before I try the Labyrinth. Those would give me better equipment as well, which may be sorely needed in the Labyrinth ...

Good for you Kat. I ought to go do that myself, except hunting in the Town of Gnawnia is rather blah. I've been waiting for an addition excuse, like a treasure map or the Relic Hunter being there. I think I'll like the adventure book more once the new areas are released and it'll help get through the area.

My understanding is that the Labyrinth follows directly behind the Fungal Cavern, so I assume it would be to peoples' benefit to finish that area first. I doubt the Rift will be beneficial in any way, and the SC only because the SoS helps with the FC.
I haven't finished the adventure book yet, but I had done those Town of Gnawnia tasks a while ago when I was in there for a treasure map.
My next task is to Craft Diamond Cheese using Diamonds, so the book really taking me through my path of progress.
I assume I'll need the new trap from the Fungal Cavern. I also guess that the Fissure Base will be useful because of its high luck (not of its being a Rift weapon).
I assume the Labyrinth provides/requires its own weapons. I need to finish the Fungal Cavern (and thus the current version of the adventure book) first.

I got tired of staring at the Town of Gnawnia adventure so I went and finished it up today. If I had known those mice were 100% attraction with the "Great" cheese I would have done it long ago. Anyways, adventure book is done until the next area is released.
I may be the only one feeling this way but I was rather disappointed that it didn't come out today. I also noticed they haven't started dropping hints on the official MH FB page yet which they've done with every new area release in the last year or two, so it probably won't be until next week at this point. But I'll still cross my fingers that it'll come out tomorrow.
Thanks for that tip, FK! I'm off to finish ToG now.
Yeah, I've been waiting for it the last two days, so I guess I'll focus on something else until we get a hint. I've got almost 300 Glowing Gruyere, which I'm hoping will be enough for the a good start in the new area should that be the basic cheese there.
I've about given up on getting that last mouse on our map any time soon.
Edit: I'm going to camp out in the BRift for now to farm PP potions for Easter next year and Calcified Rift Mist for WRift charms. I also need to be farming gold for the Rift base series. I need about 10 million more, give or take.
Going ahead and posting an Easter prep checklist for later reference:
-- Chrono: amass Runic cheese and patience [check]
-- Mystic King: charge amplifier [in progress]
-- Dhreller: set up in Iceberg at general and cycle for Dhreller [in Tunnels, so not far from this]
-- Menace of the Rift: farm as much PP as possible and have high mist level ready with enough mist canisters to cycle; aim for 20 PP [in progress]
-- Magmatic Golem: farm 25+ Magmatic Crystal Charms [12/25]
-- Fungal Cavern: farm 20+ of each level of cheese for potential eggs [0 Diamond, 0 Gemstone, 11 Mineral, 296 Glowing]
-- Labyrinth/Ancient City: we'll see when they arrive

Michele said, Not today, not this week.
To me it doesn't matter much - I think I'll need to stay away from it until I've finished Fungal Caverns.
I've hunted in Sunken City for a while and only need another hundred Sand Dollars for the traps now. Plus 23 mil gold But jetting between Sunken Treasures is fun and gives good gold.
At the moment I'm in Living Garden, working on a map. It's strange to collect essences and not really know what to use them for ... I doubt I'll craft Ultimate charms any time soon.

Thanks for letting me know Varna. I actually went searching on the MH forums today for news of any kind and clearly looked in the wrong places. Maybe we'll be able to catch this pesky Crystal Golem and finish our FC map before next week. I don't like this mouse. He always shows up in my trap when I'm not on a map and then is a complete no-show when we're on a map.
We did finally catch that Golem. But I'm so annoyed at FC maps now I probably won't do another one unless people are desperate for help. Ok, maybe not that extreme, but I used a LOT of resources trying to catch that guy and with the new area using Glowing Gruyere, I wasn't real thrilled with that.
At any rate, I am now farming Glowing Gruyere supplies and am waiting for the new area to open. Perhaps today?
I'm more than ready to move on from the Fungal Cavern. Trying to farm GG because of the upcoming area. Finally got the trap. I need to seriously farm gold so I can get the school of sharks trap and catch up on that.
The Labyrinth is here! You can read all about it in the news post or just stumble along on your own, but the thing that's telling me this will be a long haul (aside from the massive amounts of loot we'll need) is that to obtain all the traps, bases, and other equipment associated with this new area, we'll need 33.5 million gold. At minimum.
Fortunately, it seems like there's a decent amount of gold to be had here, like in the FC. If the Minotaur is cyclable, we won't have to worry as much since he's worth 1 million all by his lonesome.
