I just started my second dive with 249 Oxygen (239 after I dove). Let's see how far this gets me. First up I have a Coral Reef, followed by a Rocky Outcrop and a Feeding Grounds.
ETA: School of Fish coming up after the Feeding Grounds.
ETA2: I'm almost to the end of the Feeding Grounds, and I can see a Coral Reef and a Sand Dollar Sea Bar after the School of Fish.

Fishy fromage is incredible! I've went through 42 pieces and already have 99 oxygen. I'm guessing that I'll end up with close to 350-400 oxygen by the time this is done

At the rate I'm going, I might just get 350 with the remaining FF I have. If I'm that close, I may bump it over with Gouda.
I'm guessing that I'll end up with close to 350-400 oxygen by the time this is done.
Final total is 336. Not too shabby at all! Thanks to the devs free supply of oxygen, I'm at 346. I want at least 350 for underwater, so I'm gonna get up to 360 before I dive. Shouldn't take too long.
ETA: Decided to take myself all the way up to 376 so I had a nice solid buffer over 350, but then of course, I realized after I dove in that I'm not using SB this time around so I'll probably need more. Ah well, live and learn. I'm certain I'll get into some new areas though, so I'm excited! This is also the first time I haven't started off in the Shallow Shoals.
Rocky Outcrop -> Coral Reef -> Shallow Shoals -> Coral Reef -> Shallow Shoals -> Coral Reef -> Shallow Shoals -> Shipwreck -> Coral Garden -> Shipwreck -> Sea Floor -> Pearl Patch -> Mermouse Den -> Shipwreck -> Mermouse Den -> Coral Garden -> Mermouse Den
Yeah, that 10 oxygen gift was nice! It's even nicer when those gifts come while you're underwater
I'm up to 159 canisters of Oxygen! With 95 pieces of FF to go, I'm making good time!
This new area is definitely growing on me!

I had to log out yesterday because of a thunderstorm, and as I was in Shallow Shoals with a Coral Reef just ahead of me, I disarmed the cheese not to leave it to trap checks - it was my first Coral Reef, and I didn't want to lose out on the fun
The net connection disappeared for a while, but it's back now, and I've caught mice with good amounts of Coral Fragments I hope to get enough FF for at least 100 Oxygen for my next dive. I really like this area - but I mustn't forget LG either, to get the Phantasmic trap, although the OWN is doing a decent job IMO.

I wish I could trade people my coral (which seems to be what everybody else needs) for their fish scales. My run is not off to an ideal start but it's still early.
Currently, I have 178 Coral, 2 Scales, and 108 Barnacles. So which areas am I getting? Coral Reefs and Shallow Shoals. Arg! And I wouldn't complain so much about the Shallow Shoals since it provides mixed loot except that I haven't snagged a single Puffer Mouse yet.
I know you can trade supplies in the GS, but that's a really inefficient way of doing things and should the areas even out like they're statistically supposed to, I'd be out a lot of coral, so that's really a last resort.
May the Devs take pity on me and send some Pearl Patches and Mermouse Dens my way soon.
Today I found out that you can smash Fishy Fromage (although I have no idea why you'd want to. . . ). You get one coral, one barnacle and one fish scale for doing so. . . but if you want said ingredients to make Fishy Fromage, you're kinda defeating the purpose
EDIT: Does anybody have any links to the artwork for the new traps (and all the skins)

I think it's smashable so if you craft too many pieces of cheese and need the materials for the traps and such, you can get it that way.
Well I had the artwork links, but the guy who posted them took them down. The original shark trap is on Jacob's art wall.

I don't have the upgraded trap or the seal skin on hand.
This guide has the image for the Coral Clockwork Portal trap, but none of the others.

Boy, I am not feeling the love from the Devs today. My current materials count is: 278 Coral, 9 Scales, 137 Barnacles. Currently in a shipwreck (barnacles), followed by a 750m Coral Garden, followed by another shipwreck. Thank you devs.
I've went through all of my Fishy Fromage, and netted 330 oxygen tanks. I'm not diving just yet. Gonna arm gouda and valentine's charms overnight to see if I can get another ten tanks to cover my dive cost.
We'll see how this run goes . If I had three more tanks, I'll have 3 times the amount of oxygen that I had for my first run.

Maybe at some point there will be a spyglass or something that makes seeing the next areas easier. A developer said on the forum,
The last few zones have to be client-visible for when the user has a water jet charm armed, so I'm unlikely to obfuscate 'em! Originally, we had plans for a 'spyglass' item that would let you see the next few upcoming zones, but it was cut to meet deadlines. Maybe we'll bring it back in future!
For now, we make do with "Inspect Element" on the HUD - and it is intended by the devs that we should do so.
My second dive was good - I had lots of unused barnacles from the first dive, and I got into coral and scales areas for the second dive, so I got 111 FF for preparing the third. 29 FF have given me 52 Oxygen. No need to use Gouda for Oxygen this time.
Only question is when to leave the Sunken City to work on the Phantasmic trap in LG instead ...

Yeah, I've been using the "Inspect Element" option to check out what's coming up. I used it on the last dive to determine whether to stick it out or go back early. I've been watching this dive for the same. I've got a Pearl Patch coming up, followed by another long Sea Floor, my third Shipwreck, and a Mermouse Den. I should likely make it to the Mermouse Den, so I'm going to hold out, especially since I need the scales. I have a little over 100 scales, as compared to 200+ coral and 300+ barnacles. :/

I just dove, and have 330 Oxygen canisters ! I got some serious DLU with my first three areas. Rocky Outcrop (Barnacles, which I desperately need!) followed by a Sand Dollar Sea Bar (CHA CHING!!!!) followed by a zone called the Feeding Grounds.
I've never gotten a rocky outcrop or a feeding grounds area before so I'll get lots of new mice. I was hoping to have this run be focused around getting WAY out into the ocean, but with a barnacle area, a treasure area, and a new area right off the bat, empowered anchor charms it is
EDIT: That's really cool about the inspect element trick! I would have never guessed to do that! In so doing, I found out that I've got another sand dollar sea bar coming up right after my feeding grounds zone, followed by a shallow shoal (eww ) followed by another feeding grounds! TONS of DLU

I too am finally getting a little love from the Devs. I arrived at my FIRST EVER treasure troop area overnight last night: a Pearl Patch. This is followed by two Mermouse Dens which I DESPERATELY needed. So now I feel I'm finally in good shape for next run after this one.
So between my Pearl Patch and DiGs's upcoming Pearl Patch, maybe we'll actually place in today's tourny. Yesterday's tourny was rough cause none of the four of us got a good location, except for stwin and he was right at the end of it.
