My favourite part of the closing ceremonies was the Russian national anthem, that was awesome. The rest, meh. I didn't watch the whole thing.

Did anyone else say "Hey that's the song from the Hunt For The Red October!" when that song played?? I did

If this Sig is by you please let me know, because I can't remember :-(

Was that the song that the Moscow State Choir sang? If so...I honestly didn't know...

My one "claim" to Olympic fame is that several years ago my Dad and Mom met former NHL (And Toronto Maple Leaf) goaltender Curtis Joseph at a parenting conference, who played on the 2002 Men's Team Canada, and consequently was on the same team as Martin Brodeur, who, as we know, won gold in these Olympics. :) Of course Dad got his autograph for us kids (although it was only myself, one brother, and sister, at the time).

Is anyone going to be keeping up with the Paralympics at all?

I might be following it moreso this year than previous Olympics', although I certainly hope every athlete does very well. To see these athletes compete despite physical disabilities is inspiring. :)

Well, 'twas fun discussing these Olympics with other enthusiasts! We'll see you all back in 2012 for the London Summer Games.

*signs off with one last rendition of 'O Canada' *

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
