My sister and I made a "pumpkin" pie with leftover acorn and butternut squash this year; I think I'd have to make two at the same time using the exact same recipe to be certain but as near as I can tell there wasn't much difference. I am intrigued by the idea of a rutabaga pie.
(Another sister said she had sweet potato pie at a work celebration and liked it, so I may want to look into that one as well.)
