What do you guys think of the song at the end of it? Do you think it went well with the movie? Or do you think the style of music didn't match the feel of Tangled, and they should have picked something more like the rest of the soundtrack?

I actually think the lyrics fit the movie quite well.

I really liked the song afterwards. :D Just my little two cents.

It's been awhile since I rented Tangled. I miss it. XD I should really try to buy it sometime. One of the few recent Disney movies I like. :)

*Has been putting off posting in this thread, even though she really likes Tangled!*

Yes I really do like Tangled, so I'm not sure why I haven't posted in here before...but I am now! :p

I think Tangled is one of Disney's better recent movies. I love the story, the music, and basically everything about it! Speaking of the music, here's part of a post, regarding the music in Tangled, that I posted a few weeks ago in Mountie's Mod of the Week thread:

I really like the fact that Tangled is a musical; I wasn't expecting that since most movies are not nowadays. :p The song sung at the pub is very memorable. (I think it's called "I Have a Dream".) I love the catchy lyrics! *Quotes (from memory): "...but despite my evil look, my complexion and my hook, I've always wanted to be a concert pianist!"* :) *Also, had the song Rapunzel and Flynn sing in the floating lantern/boat scene stuck in her head for days on end a few weeks back - such a pretty song!*

"Polly knew at once that it was the Cabby's wife, fetched out of our world not by any tiresome magic rings, but quickly, simply and sweetly as a bird flies to its nest."

I watched Tangled last night again. I love that movie. But anywhoo do you think that Gothel (mother) really loved Rapunzel or just loved her for her hair? Because there were many times that I thought she actually meant it when she said she loved Rapunzul, but then again, she did lock Rapunzel away in a tower. What do you guys think?

sillygoose: I suppose that you could take it either way, but I can't help but see that every time Mother Gothel speaks to Rapunzel, she always makes fun of her and then tries to cover it up by saying "Oh don't take everything so seriously, darling". and she keep calling her 'pet'names like 'flower' and when she hugs her, she kisses her hair, but doesn't look into her face. it seems more like she loves Rapunzel for her hair. what a sad way to grow up :( ;)

just my two cents! :D

I agree with Libby, whenever mother Gothel speaks to Rapunzel and is telling her how much she loves her it always seems she is talking to her hair, she pets her hair, kisses her hair etc. It is very possible that she did have some affection for Rapunzel, she lived with her for many years, but she didn't seem to care much for Rapunzel, she would say mean and silly things and poke fun at her alot so I really don't know. When I watched the movie I sort of felt that all she really loved in Rapunzel was her hair, cause I think if she really loved Rapunzel she wouldn't lock her in a tower, maybe try to keep her safe but do it in a way that would be more pleasant for Rapunzel instead of having to sit in a tower for most of her life

I definitely don't think Gothel cared for Rapunzel at all - which was rather sad. I wish she had, just a little bit . .

I guess if she had you would have felt really sorry for her when she died, but like this, you don't feel all that sorry, since she didn't really care for Rapunzel anyway :p

@sillygoose I think Gothel did love Rapunzel a little bit, in her own selfish way.
