I might make one again, how about, I make a poem about you Wildrose? .
"Two sides of the same coin"
Here's another I wrote awhile ago-it doesn't have a title
I think I might forget it, if I looked into your eyes
One moment of sincerity, and no more thoughts of lies
I’d listen to your breathing, and you’d listen to me say
I’m sorry that I’m leaving, and I’m sorry it’s this way
And maybe I’d apologize for all the things that I did wrong
And maybe I’d say sorry and I’d beg to come along
On this journey, do you hear me?
I’ve been searching just to find,
A reason for the heartbreak, and a little
Piece of mind.
No distance knows connection, and there is a reason why
I’ll leave to your discretion desperation and goodbye.
You were my saddest moment and a grasp at what is best,
on the everlasting journey to this thing called happiness.
Forever a proud Belieber
Live life with the ultimate joy and freedom.
That was nice. Here are a couple of mine.
The Face of Evil
I am the shadow of your despair
I am the substance of your fear
I am what nightmares are made of
Darkness untroubled by light from above
I am the horror that holds you fast
I am the grudges that trouble your rest
I am the anger that burns in your soul
Fueled by a pride that you cannot control
I am the heart of your blackest thoughts
I am the destruction man has wrought
I am the evil who comes as good
And wins you by a mask of falsehood
I am the deepest trust betrayed
I am the void of things unsaid
I am false love that breaks your heart
And the lies that tear it apart
I am innocence corrupted
I am temptation not resisted
I am the terror that all must face
That none can stand except by grace
I am the pain that all must suffer
I am the sneaky and selfish whisper
I am the tears that men do shed
Over the ill, the dying and dead
I am the ruthlessness of power
I am the oppressor of honor
I am the dreadful face of evil
And I will prevail
And the answer to it:
The Face of Goodness
I am the brightness of your peace
I am the joy of your release
I am what good dreams are made of
Radiant with light from above
I am the rapture by which you are blest
I am the forgiveness that gives you rest
I am the laughter that rings in your soul
Driven by humility that you control
I am the heart of your highest thoughts
I am the best that man has wrought
I am he who turns evil to good
And blows away the mists of falsehood
I am the deepest trust that stayed
I am the greatest things that were said
I am the love that heals your heart
And the truth that never tears it apart
I am innocence perfected
I am all temptation rejected
I am the righteousness all men face
Which they receive but by my grace
I am the comfort that all may hear
I am the honest and loving whisper
I too, many tears have shed
For the ill, the dying and dead
I am the mercy of my power
I am the exalter of honor
I am the face of goodness still
And I will prevail.

I'm very flattered, very honored, and a little unsure how to react.
always be humble and kind
^Nah, don't be. But I need to search for infos about a "wild rose" haha. I hope my poem will look good once I have finished it.

Thank you I like writing poetry even better than writing fiction. (Like Bilbo, I guess. )

Wow! This is such a beautiful thread! Why didn't I see it earlier?
Everyone's poems are so amazing! I especially like yours, Lady Haleth! They have such a magical feel about them.
I feel a little shy posting my poems next to all these masters, but here are a few of my petty attempts:
STAND STRONG
Stand strong, oh mountain, stand strong
Though winds they blow
And falls the snow
Though all else falls
While seasons crawl
Stand strong, oh mountain, stand strong
Bloom on, oh blossoms, bloom on
Though pours the rain
As though insane
Though sun it hides
In a cloudy disguise
Bloom on, oh blossoms, bloom on
Look on, oh stranger, look on
While seasons change
O’er the mountain range
When fails the gold
Search these treasures untold
Look on, oh stranger, look on
NOBLE KNIGHT
Grasp your sword, noble knight
Clasp your shield, hold it tight
Mount your steed, sound the cry
They only follow those who try
May the moonlight light your path
As you triumph Evil’s Wrath
The way is hard, but still go on
The weak await their champion
Though mounts may fall and time stand still
Still grip your sword and hold on till
Ends the night and dawns the morn
And you receive your eternal reward
WAR
Hark, and hear the sound of war!
Beat of shields, clash of swords
Hear the moans, the shouts, the cries
As two armies charge and fight
"Lift your bows, you weary men
Lift your swords and charge again!
Are ye maidens that ye fear
That the enemy is near?
Do ye think of love and peace,
Whilst the battle's at its peak?
Are ye cowards? Forward! March!
Raise your voices as ye charge!"
Hark, and hear the sound of war
Soldiers charging more and more
Lowers in the sky the sun
Will the battle ne'er be done?
Stillness haunts the battlefield
Strewn about with swords and shields
And the bodies of the men
That will never rise again
Why must hate again prevail?
Do we think that love can fail?
Do we think that by our swords,
We command the greatest force?
Only love and heal the wounds
Only love can build anew
Only love can make things right
So why do we always fight?
Drop your weapons; end the wars!
Burn your shields; burn your swords!
Come, forgive, and make things right
Come, and live a brand new life
If Wishes Were Horses
If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride
And never return, but in galaxies hide
If only were true this saying of old
Why wishes they could be, and would be as gold
Stampedes that gallop to the stars
And never return—they’ve gone too far
And where and why should they return?
If only were true, and yet it is!
Perhaps under hooves dreams cannot turn
But does that mean that there are not?
A Wish, a Dream, forever forgot?
Tis why so many give up to try
And only beggars wish to ride
But you can saddle and ride your dream
Forget it not, and it will not seem
But be
I wrote this to some of my friends who were discouraged about their writing skills. It's a little random, but it encouraged them to keep writing.
Work on what your heart leads you to
Follow the path your sould guides you
Allow your mind to become one with your heart
Feel the power of the pen in your hand
And write, oh writers of glory!
Write that which passion stirs in your souls
Write that which reason speaks to your minds
Write that which the wind whispers to your ears

Those are great! I especially like the second and third.
Here are a couple of mine:
THE SEA
Meet the sky at the curve of the earth
Roll your waves to the smiling sands
Show your face to the morning sky
Glancing as from eye to eye
Crash on the cliffs with all your might
Breakers, rolling, fill the pools
Waves their mighty crests unfurl
Lash the ground in foaming curls
Call us to venture on your rolling deep
To sail into the skies of dawn
Traveling to far unknown seas
Loving adventure more than ease
THE POWER AND WEAKNESS
The earth it rocks beneath our feet
The airs bend with our breath
Thousands we hold in our hands
The power of life and death
But ours is only greater than
The power that all truly hold
To shape their lives as best they can
Amid the turmoil that unfolds
For mortal still, are we in power
Though we hold a nations might
And draws nearer ev’ry hour
Our death, within our sight
So recall when you command
You are no more than anyone
Whether king or farmer’s hand
All are equal under the sun.

Salvation is a fire in the midnight of the soul-Switchfoot
I wrote this almost a week ago.
Falling tears and a broken heart.
What do you do when your world falls apart?
When it crumbles before you, all you dreams turned to dust,
With no one to turn to, no one to trust.
You receive no compassion, yet pity abounds.
The worst has become a nightmare,
And it keeps sinking down.
"Poor thing."
"What a shame!"
"Someone ought to do something."
They observe like spectators.
And in the end, do nothing.
The real shame is this:
They truly believe that there was nothing they could have done.
That nothing would have changed.
What if they are us?
Are our hearts dead? Have we forgotten how to feel?
How to care? How to mean it?
How to love?
Too busy to help another succed.
Caught up in pride, comsumed by greed.
What a shame.
Bumpety-bump-bump-bump.

Woo, poetry!! I love writing poems, and have currently written around 50 or more. All sorts, including lots of songs. I write about stories, love, etc. Sometime I'll write some down here.
Ooh, I love it . .

Come on Elanor! Post some of it right now! Haha. I would love to read your poems! Especially when it is originally written.
"Two sides of the same coin"
Okay!! Here's one I wrote quite a while ago, but that I still like. Remember, I'm not very good at it . .
I'll post some more later, if you wish.
Bittersweet Existence
Every single day
its just a contradiction
what started as a joke
has turned into addiction
What once was all so real
has faded to a distance
gray with rain and haze
It's a bittersweet Existence
While we can't understand
we use frowns to hide our joys
and out of all these tears
which are just decoys?
What was true is now a lie
we can't put up resistance
to powers of the darkness
It's a bittersweet Existence
Smiles hiding aches
lives lived in subjection
Everywhere a broken heart
as we ask for perfection
We know we'll never win
But we fight with persistence
refusing to give up
It's a bittersweet Existence
Filled with bitter hate
what we once took for danger
is twisted and disfigured
into something stranger
We refuse to understand
that there's no more consistence
we've banished all forgiving
It's a bittersweet Existence.
