i might buy a camera on thursday- just for a concert i'm going to . it will probably be just a regular kodak one, seeing i don't ahve enough money to buy the camera i really want

I've been thinking about pursuing photography or photojournalism or journalism in college since I like both of those subjects so much. I don't think the college I'm going to has a photojournalism program so maybe I'll major in one and minor in the other.

All these pictures you guys posted are all breathtaking

silvertounge I love how you captured the water puddles on the grass in the first photo.

I will say I'm very impressed with all of them. I would post mine but I take headshots of friends who want to be actors and I save them the trouble of paying money.

Some of my own pictures. I got a green Canon Powershot SD1200 for my birthday, well half of it. I'm paying for the other half. I'm in photography heaven with it. It's awesome. It takes the best pictures, the pictures are so sharp and the colors are so vivid.

I have lots more pictures, but they'll have to wait.

Mehinen-Beautiful! The ice looks so wonderful contrasted with the green of spring, esp. in the second one. I love the veins in the rose on the last one.

Flam-Nice shots! I think the jumping is my favorite. Personally I probably would have brightened the other two of the sunset, but only just enough to see a little more detail on the people; you wouldn't want to lose the beautiful silhouette look.

Here are some self portraits I took recently, they're a little different, but I had a lot of fun with them.

I actually took some similar ones of my friend as well, but I'm afraid I'm unable to post those ones.

This is one of my most recent ones. I took this with a friend right after it had rained. ((My favorite time for photo shoots.))

I often share a pic or two on Facebook that I though turned out reasonably well - at least folks don't look away in shock and horror. Plenty of members here don't use Facebook, so I am putting two recent images here.

George hangs around outside the fire station I work at. In the early morning and evening she comes out and I feed her any number of things. No, nothing unhealthy I trust.

Awww, cep. *loves rabbits* Maybe our 'daily' bunny is a relation?

I don't have time to get specific here, but I must say I do enjoy the great and creative photos you guys take. The variety is fun as well.

Our gardens are blossoming, so here are some lovely shots of the beauty of flowers:

Hanging Fuschia: each blossom is so exotic and detailed.

A huge coleus plant - a couple of feet tall: this was only a few inches when I first got it, and it has sprouted up more than any other coleus I've had. (Pardon the messes around it: we're under construction.)

Clematis, which I should have planted years ago. We now have seven of them, and they are stunning! Here is a fuller shot (sorry it's sideways ).

I got two hibiscus (a plant and a small tree) for my birthday this year: the blooms are so beautiful and delicate, yet having a strength about them; and they're huge!
Ditto: I really like the lighting on this second one, and the water droplets after a rain-shower.

This couple was resting on our lawn the other day. The male seemed very protective of the female, and was checking on her here as she turned her head into her feathers to rest. So sweet. This photo was taken through the kitchen window screen.

We have had very hot and humid weather here for a week and a half now, with not much let-up in sight, so past photos like this (our home, what you can see of it), this (part of our yard/home), and this (a favourite spot of ours up north, Inglis Falls) make me very happy ... and eager for autumn and winter.
