Those are awesome Snow Angel!
Having finally bought a camera, I'm trying to learn to use it. Here are a few pics I took today

Some pics from me. These are from the ranch rodeo at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. It's different from the Rodeo part of the Rodeo. This is cowboys and cowgirls who live and work on a ranch competing.
wow amazing pictures everyone
wolfloversk wow, those are lovely photos
starkat, amazing, I love the first one
I love taking photographs of sunsets. I've never taken nay of a sunrise yet.
Which do you guys prefer? Taking photos of sunsets or sunrises?
~Riella
I love taking pictures of both sunsets and sunrises, although I have very few of sunrises, I can't seem to get up early enough to take them Also, even though my bedroom window faces east, I have a house blocking the view, so I can only take decent pictures of sunrises from around September to Feburary. Sunsets are a lot easier, our kitchen window faces west and if there are no clouds, every evening we are rewarded with amazing sunsets, and I love photographing them. I'm no professional, but I enjoy it none the less here are two of my favorite

SnowAngel, I like your rose on a rainy day. Very pretty.
NL101, neat take on self-portraits. Quirky.
daughter of the king, I really like how you captured the sunset.
Moonlight Dancer, I love your photos! The chipmunk was so cute! And the other ones were well captured.
RevelinginWonder, both your photos are neat. I like how you captured the color of one object and left the rest black and white.
Jillhope, lovely! I like the effects you used.
Ceppault, nice close ups on the rabbit
Lovely photos, Jo! The flowers were gorgeous. Especially the Hibiscus #2. And the moon photo was really
Violetfirekrazed, I really like your doorknob photo. It looks lonely, yet hopeful, just waiting for something to happen...
stargazer, I like your cloud picture. Lighting in clouds is fascinating...
princeshasta-the-great, neat take on the photo subjects. What did you do with the first set? And do you have a pinhole camera, or did you make one?
DTR, I like how you took a picture of an everyday object (the keys) and turned into a cool photo.
Dekkie, I love how you captured the sunlight speckles.
SnowAngel, gorgeous photos!
wolfloversk, the first photo reminds me of Narnia.
starkat, nice action photos!
wildrose, I love sunsets. thanks for capturing some.

Meadow, those are amazing!
Here's one I took of myself last week - it's nothing great, but it feels artistic to me lol here you go:

Thank you Lady Faith for the sig!
Wow, y'all are really excellent at this! Snow Angel and MeadowMaid, I really enjoy your both's pictures; very pretty!
So, I appear here to ask for a little advice. See, I've been having to rely on our between shoot-and-point and SLR camera lately, but it's dying. I've been thinking about saving up for one and was wondering if you all could advise me which way to go when buying since it's obviously a large investment. The camera I like is This Canon Rebel XS but no major preferences except it looks usable and nice and what I had in mind, and the description says that it is good for beginners and comes with a lens. (And that it's a Canon; I prefer that over Nikon, because of the benefits I've heard that Canons have.) One of my youth leaders who's into photography advised that I get one where I can control focus, shutter speed and has a lens that I can change.
Does the camera I linked to above have those points? Any advice on what to get would be wonderful and greatly appreciated!

I actually bought a Rebel XS in December & I'm really pleased with it so far! It's a great camera for people who are new to SLRs (like I was/am). The XS does allow you to control focus, shutter speed, and change lenses (although, beware, separate lenses get pretty pricey, too.) Along with a ton of other great features. If you have any more questions feel free to ask me.
This is a picture I took of a weed in my back yard. They're all over the yard. This makes it a bit like walking through a mine field if you go barefoot like I do.

Very nice picture HelloHurricane!
Here is a photo I made last spring. I am no photographer and I don't have any fancy cameras, but this picture turned out to be quite nice.

Love your pictures, HelloHurricane! Looks like you have a sweet camera.
I'm setting up a flickr account right now... Looks like it's a nice way to organize some pictures online. Maybe I'll post some later.

I just came upon this thread! I love taking pictures, though I have a crappy camera, and I'm not very good at it. (if anyone noticed Destined's avvi, I took it. ). I like doing photo shoots with her, and fooling around with stuff, but yeah - it hardly ever amounts to much.

Thanks for your answers, HelloHurricane! They really help me in now making a choice for what camera.
Now to pray and save up...
The picture of the weeds is splendid. I like the lighting.
De_De, I really admire the setting of your photo! It's beautiful. (I think it looks like the woods in Prince Caspian. )
