I have yet to see it, but it's definitely on my must see list. Wes Anderson is one of my favorite directors, and I'm really interested to see how his foray into animation and family films turned out. Also, the film was nominated for two Academy Awards so that has to mean something.
I did love the book as a child, and I understand what the animation is. I just think, compared to a lot of the kids movies that come out . . it wasn't that much. But it was still enjoyable! )

ok, I was babysitting some kids last night and they were watching the old animated Disney Peter Pan. I must admit, I have never actually seen that movie until now. My mom never let me. But I am so glad now that she didn't let me. it was too weird for my taste. and then after that we watched the old Disney Hercules and that scared me. it was just WAY too disturbing. I had never seen that one either. I have always wondered why these movies were classics.....

I love the old animated Disney Peter Pan, and I think Disney's Hercules is a fun watch. I don't see what's so bad about them. They are both fun and enjoyable movies, but I respect that you think they are "too weird" or "disturbing" even if I can't understand why.
I love the Disney Peter Pan- it was one of my favorite childhood movies, and I still find it enjoyable. I do hate the Disney Hercules though.
I rewatched The Fellowship a couple nights ago. This time I watched the regular version instead of the extended edition. I think I liked it more this time around. I almost want to reread the book
I liked Fantastic Mr. Fox a lot!
I really wasn’t interested at first because of the animation, but I Loved it!
@Glenstorm the Great: You went back to watching the original after watching the Extended Edition!
I’d feel like I was missing some of the movie!
I haven’t watched the original version for eight years. Ever since seeing the Extended Versions me and my sister can’t watch any other version, but maybe it’ just me.

7chronicles, Not just you. I didn't see any of them in theaters. I bought them on DVD, regular editions, and loved them. After a year and a half I decided to upgrade to extended edition, despite the high cost of it, and I swore I'd never go back to regular.
How could I? I'd feel I am missing something! Extended is superior in every way. But for casual viewers of the series, I can see how regular edition is just fine.
I like the Fellowship better than the other in a certain way because I really like most of the dialogue and the history that talks about. I also like it because it has I think the best Aragorn in action scenes.
I get chills every time in this scene. You know the one: Frodo has slipped on the ring and been spotted by Sauron. Aragorn finds Frodo and doesn't give into the temptation of the ring. Then Aragorn rounds the corner and you see hundreds of Uruk-Hai making their way towards them. Creepy!

Doctor Who - Season 11
That is my favorite scene in the trilogy besides the Ride of the Rohirem, it shows how true and loyal he is, basicly going to certain death to buy Frodo so time
@Warrior 4 Jesus:Oh I Love that part so much! Aragorn is so Noble!
@aragorn2: I Love the Ride of the Rohirrim! I get the chills every time I see that scene! I Love the visionals, the Rohirrim with there golden armor, with the sun shinning from behind them brightly against the black clouds above Minith Tirith and the Dark Mordor army below. It's just awesome!
The Return of the King is my favorite if I had to choose one of the movies.
I was just telling my mom today, the reason I Love Lord of the Rings so much is that those movies just have heart!
The Light against the Darkness, hope, honor, nobility, friendship, I just Love them!
We are getting ready to re-watch the whole trilogy in December on the day they were released, December 17th, 18th, and 19th!

W4J: Whooa! Hahaha. I was scared bit with that scene too! I thought Aragorn would be tempted with the ring, but I know he wouldn't.
I almost cried in the part where Boromir dies. It's very sad and touching when he bade goodbye to Aragorn.

Just finished watching a documentary: Touching the Void.
"The true story of two climbers and their perilous journey up the west face of Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes in 1985." (quote from IMDb) - however it's on the way down that the 'story' starts as one breaks his leg and the other tries to help him down. Problem is, they are still too far up. After some time, another problem arose and the healthy one must decide if to cut the rope of the one hanging with a broken leg.
Definitely a recommended watch, a story of survival, of hope when all seems at an end. There is some brief strong language.
I just watched in Kids Co., Prince and the Pauper. It was great, for a family movie. The concept was really amazing. Their accent were perfect and you will learn a moral lesson from it.

The Lovely Bones--
This was...so-so. I wasn't really expecting much, so it wasn't too bad.
The story was intriging--it definetly interested me more then I thought it would have. The whole "heaven/inbetween" thing was weird and I frankly could have done without it.
I understand Peter Jackson was trying to have the movie appeal more to teenage girls, hence all the stuff about first kisses, crushes, etc. I wouldn't normally mind that in context, but it was sooo out of place, she'd been murdured and all she could think about was kissing this guy (who seemed awfully old for her in the first place, and from the very little we see of them there isn't much chemistry). So in that I thought the direction of the story was sadly lacking.
Another con was both the character of Susie (uninteresting, after she died I wasn't interested in her), and the acting of Saoirse Ronan who played her (meh except for one part). I wanted to like Saoirse's acting, but it kinda fell flat in most parts, like she was trying too hard. The only exception was the scene in which her character is about to be murdured (nothing objectional is shown, the scene ends before it happens). It's SUCH an intense scene and you just totally feel the horrid mental anguish Susie is going through..the confusion along with the utter knowing, and the "This can't happen to me". So that part, although creepy, was well done.
THe main pros for the film was the fact that Rachel Weisz was in it, as I love her, the cinematography, which was beautiful (actually the whole movie had this bright, vivid artsy feel)...so yeah. My take on it
