yup, and yeah I know it was innocent and nothing was shown, so I didn't hate the part either, it just took me by surprise. (I'm 26)
One of the girls was what, ten? the four year old is different I agree. But still, it was a father with his daughters. Had they been at least the same gender I wouldn't have thought anything about it, or at least if he wasn't fully undressed as we are to believe he is since we don't see anything, but to know that his daughters saw him fully nude is, to me, just wrong- even if it is a cartoon.
But I do know other countries view it differently.
Yesterday, I watched this movie called, Cloverfield. No offense for those who love this cause for me, I didn't like it that much. It wasn't that creepy and thrilling because of the scenes that were like, huh?? Instead of me getting surprised, I go like what?! (sorry for Cloverfield lovers!) .
Another movie I watched which I really had fun on watching it was Aquamarine. I love how Sarah Paxton<-- hope got it right , Jojo and Emma Roberts portrayed their roles. The story was cute too! The lesson I learned from that movie was that love conquers all, even oneself (get it? LOL).
Well, that's all I can remember for now. Hihi.

I enjoyed Cloverfield very much, for what it was - a brainless first-person take on Gojira. I suffer from really bad motion-sickness but the strange thing is this movie didn't effect me negatively in either the cinema or on DVD at home. I found it creepy at times and I didn't connect with the completely superficial and selfish young people in the movie but it was still fun.

One thing I thought was interesting was that a few of the score's themes I recognized from Disney's Robin Hood. I thought they fit better in Robin Hood, but SitS was made 10 years earlier.
The reason for that, in case you're wondering, is because Disney was hugely out of money at the time Robin Hood was made, and so they had to recycle a lot of things from previous Disney movies. Check out THIS video, it's quite interesting to see all the things they reused.

Wow, thanks for posting that NL101. That was really interesting. There wasn't any new choreography in that dance scene! Robin Hood has always been one of my favorites.
I liked Cloverfield a lot, though it's far from a perfect movie. There were some unsettling parts in it and the ending leaves more questions than the movie provides answers for. I've heard talk of a sequel but haven't seen anything concrete. Now that you bring it up it's been a while since I last saw it and I might put it in the DVD player this weekend and give it visit.

Last night I joined DamselJillPole and her mom and saw the new Clash Of the Titans. It's been a while since i've seen the original, but I loved this newer version a lot. I could tell that a lot of changes had been made and one thing that I really loved about it was how fast paced it was. I also thought the romance thrown in wasn't a cliche rescue the princess thing that you see in todays movies/books. It was really well made and enjoyed it a lot!

^I did too enjoy the film! But some say the Medusa and Perseus battle was kind of like it's too easy to finish a battle for like just 15 minutes because it really is hard to defeat Medusa because of her eyes. Plus! I enjoyed it because Liam Neeson, Aslan's voice, was there too! Now how awesome is that? hihi.

Oh, that's a cute movie. I saw it ages ago. Kinda silly, obviously, but more in a poking-fun-at-the-sillyness-of-teen-girls-"love" kind of way.
Last movie I saw was I Capture the Castle. I simply love that movie! I'd recomend it highly to anyone who enjoyed the book, imho it kept quite close to the storyline and the casting was spot-on.

I wasn't terribly pleased with Clash of the Titans. The action was decent, but action alone doesn't make a movie for me. I really didn't care for the characters, even Perseus. GI Joe did a better job with character development than Clash did and that's saying quite a bit. The Medusa fight was decent, but Percy Jackson's was better IMO. This was a movie I won't be seeing again.
I was more impressed with Shirlock Holmes. Characters were much better done, the plot and mystery worked out better than I was expecting. Even the action was better that I thought. But it wasn't an excellent movie that I would see numerous times. But it is one I would see again.

Percy Jackson better than Clash of the Titans???? Yrrrrk!!!
I think Clash was a better movie all the way around. Not to mention more mythologically accurate (since when was Perseus/Percy the son of Poseidon?). Percy Jackson was too much like a Disney sitcom (i.e. Wizards of Waverly); not a bad thing, but not worth seeing at the cinema.

I saw Percy Jackson while it was still in theaters, opening weekend in fact. I wasn't impressed with the movie, didn't do justice to the book, but I was able to see it all the way through without being bored. It was decent.
Clash of the Titans, I rented it this last week. It started out fine, but it quickly lost my interest. I admit I didn't even finish it- didn't even get half way done. I didn't like what I saw at all either.
Gandalfs Beard,
As far as Percy being the son of Poseidon in PJ&tO, it's good to note that the books are a modern take on the mythology, and it's basically new "history" to what had come before. Percy in this book, is named after the Perseus of "Titans" (If I remember correctly). It isn't meant to be the same guy. So it's not inaccurate either.
I was comparing to the Medusa fights, but now that you mention it, I do consider Percy Jackson a better Greek Mythology movie than Clash of the Titans. I said earlier, action does not make a movie. There is definately bigger and 'better' action in Clash, but Percy has way more story and character, not to mention better acting. Now I have not seen the old Clash and everything I have heard is that the old one is significantly better.

Haven't seen Percy, but Clash was horrendous. Very unfortunately, as I hear that a much better version is stored away in the WB vaults, with much more screen time for the gods. That film went through so much studio interference and editing that the final product was nothing like the original shooting script, which wasn't too bad. Mads Mikkelson was the only good thing about the film, and the shoddy post-converted 3D didn't help matters.
I'm surprised a sequel has been greenlit, but hopefully Jonathan Liebesman can do a better job with the material than Louis Leterrier did, although his filmography isn't one to inspire confidence. If WB had let Leterrier make the film he wanted instead of the atrocity that the studio released, the movie probably wouldn't have been half bad, and Leterrier may have even been on board for the sequel.

I totally agree! I loved how Aqua danced and she looked funny doing it haha. I always laughed at the part where she eats cotton candy, it really is a cute movie.
Well, the old Clash of the Titans, says my brother, is better when it comes to the mythology because in the new movie, it focuses only in the effects and actions, not much usually in the myths. I sort of agree with him.
