^^ I like Toy Story too! Who here can't wait for Toy Story Three! It always seems like Pixar puts out the best movies. They almost never let you down. Veggietales are the same way.

Pixar is amazing. It seems like they have a completely different standard to all the other companies who do animated films. What's everybody's favourite Pixar film? For me, it'd be a close toss up between The Incredibles and Wall E. Up was not bad, but I was slightly disappointed - not exactly sure why. It didn't quite live up to my expectations.

Up and Wall-E are tied for my favorite. My list would probably go something like this:
[list=1]
That's not completely accurate though, as really most of their movies are in a tie for me. Wall-E, Up, and Cars are the only three in their definite spots.

'Up' was disappointing. Not bad, but not great either.
My favourites are:
The Incredibles
WALL-E
Monsters Inc.
Finding Nemo
Toy Story 2
I enjoy all of the Pixar movies, just to different degrees.
Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11
for the life of me I can't explain why Cars usually comes last in people's ranking on Pixar- I think it's an excellent effort. Sure they are all great movies and it's hard to rank them. Not saying you hate it, because it's last doesn't mean you didn't like it unless you really didn't like it
my least favorite would probably have to be Toy Story 2 or Up,
I like them both but TS2 didn't totally live up to the original for me. And Up left me slightly underwhelmed.
My favorite is probably WALL E, or The Incredibles, or Finding Nemo, or Ratatouille.
I also really like Toy Story, Monsters' Inc.
A Bug's Life is another one I think is great, but depending on my mood I might like it more or less, however I think it's criminally underrated.
and there, I mentioned all currently released Pixar movies, not including shorts which are great as well.
You really didn't like Toy Story 2? I thought it was better written and had a more developed story than the first (it was also more enjoyable). Ratatouille is very good but don't watch it on an empty stomach. I enjoyed Cars quite a bit but not to the same degree as many of the others.

My favorite Pixar films in order:
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
The Incredibles
Monsters Inc.
WALL-E
Up
Ratatouille
Finding Nemo
Bugs Life
Cars
I Love Pixar films!

Up is amazing. It's one of my favorite Pixar films and one of the best movies of 2009 in my opinion.
My list:
Finding Nemo
Up
Toy Story 2
A Bug's Life
Toy Story
Monsters, Inc.
The Incredibles
Cars
I still have yet to see Wall*E and Ratatouille
Hmm... I really enjoyed the first 20 minutes or so of 'Up' but then it just seemed a bit run of the mill. Also, the grumpy man wasn't grumpy enough for there to be interesting drama between him and the boy.

Up did have a few things that didn't quite sit well. The real thing that got me was the age of Charles Munz, the explorer Carl Frederickson so adored as a kid. Old yes, realistically alive at that point.... The dogs I didn't mind as much with all things considered. Overall Up is on the lower end of the Pixar list for me. I don't know why, but it just didn't impress me like the others.
Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.
Hm...it's always interesting to see people's different opinions. Up is one that grew on me the more I watched it. I loved it upon first viewing, but the more I see it, the more I love it. Some parts, I admit, are a bit mediocre, and I never really cared for the evil dogs, but, for me, the parts that are good, are SO good that they overshadow the mediocre bits.
narnia1: I certainly don't hate Cars, but I don't think it's necessarily UP to the same level as their other films. Okay, that was just a terrible pun. But joking aside, it just doesn't strike me the same way their other movies do, it's enjoyable and the characters are pretty memorable ("Mater...it's like Tah-Mater, but without the Tah") but overall it just wasn't as clever, imo.
*gasps upon reading that bkey has not seen Wall-E or Ratatouille* You must drive to the nearest video rental and pick them up this instant. Although Ratatouille lands second to last on my list it is still thoroughly enjoyable and as for Wall-E, well, you wont find a better quality film out there, at least not a family friendly one.

While UP had a few issues (how can Charles Munz still be alive and kicking some 60 years after Carl watched him as a kid? and the dogs flying planes - even allowing for the dogfight pun) it's among my favorite movies.
That 4-minute montage early in the film is filled with more joy, sorrow, pain, and loneliness than some entire movies - and all without anyone uttering a word. Michael Giacchino's musical score there is just brilliant. And these are people - not talking fish or cars (not that I didn't enjoy Finding Nemo or Cars)...maybe that's my bias showing.
And I'm old enough - and know even-older people - to laugh at some of those silly 'old people' jokes (screeching hearing aids or aching backs)...though admittedly at times there seems to be too much. Is it trying to be a serious drama or a comedy? But, to me, its emphasis on relationships (Carl and Ellie, then Carl and Russell) gives it 2 thumbs up.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
^^ I liked some of Up, but it was disturbing in parts
just my two cents.....

not sure if this is to me, but Just in case.
I did enjoy Toy Story, I haven't "not liked" any of their movies. But I loved the original much more. Seeing Ratatouille on an empty stomach is definitely not a smart thing to do. Makes me hungry even if I had just eaten
I have to agree when someone says that they love the first movie better rather then the sequel. I know why too. For some people who enjoy films rather then movie goers can sometimes not enjoy a sequel if it involves the same hero from the first. So yes I wouldn't disagree with someone if the liked Toy Story better then Toy Story 2.
I have to say that Beauty and the Beast is by far the best animated Disney movie ever to me. Aladdin comes in second and Lion King third.
A Bug's Life will have to be my favorite Pixar film.
