has anyone ever seen "Firehouse Dog" (Josh Hutcherson)? that movie looked good, bu then I saw it and it was silly!
it was definitely a silly movie. Not the best of movies. But I still sort of enjoyed it though.
^^parts of it were good but most of it was cheesy and stupid. I mean like the beginning part of the movie when the dog is like lounging in an airplane with a wig on and everything
The last movie I saw was Gladiator which was awsome!
I absolutely Love that movie! Easily in my top ten movies.
The Value of myth is that it takes all the things you know and restores to them the rich significance which has been hidden by the veil of familiarity. C.S. Lewis
@ SL. And of course you can't forget "There's something out there.... and it ain't no man." or "Run! Go!! Get to da chappa!!!" Anyway, it will probably be the only Arnold film I see, but I'm glad it was this one. Thanks!
@ Warrior. Here in the States, the word is muted. As far as I can tell, they simply mute the voice track. The music, sound effects, etc are all unharmed. It's slightly annoying at first, but you get used to it. Also, some stations seem to censor more than others.....
No, actually those words are all left un-bleeped no matter what their context.

Interesting. I much prefer strong language being left alone and bleeping/muting God's name when it's used in a blasphemous manner. We don't have anything like that in Australia. If the movie has strong language or violence or sex or whatever it will just be on at a much later time slot than other movies/TV shows (and will be rated for mature audiences only).

Oh, forgot to mention I watched the second Alien movie most of the way through a few nights ago. I've never watched more than a few scenes from any of the others, but I enjoyed that one. I guess now I can see why my dad likes the series so much.
I've yet to see Predator. I've heard it's very good though (for what it is).
Predator is essentially Gone With The Wind for manly men . The movie begins as your standard action movie but moves into the realm of sci-fi with a smattering of horror about 40 minutes in or so. It was director John McTiernan's first film right out of the gate and he hit a home run. Interesting footnote: Shane Black, who plays Hawkins in the film, is a screenwriter in Hollywood and was purportedly placed in the movie not so much for acting as it was to keep an eye on McTiernan since the producers were uncertain that a rookie director could pull the movie off successfully. The film is loaded with raw, unadulterated testosterone, but unlike so many other films of this type, really manages to keep the story coherent, the action at an increasing pace, the musical score always appropriate, and the suspense rather palpable. I personally think it was Ahnuld's best movie, with the Terminator films a relatively close 2nd. Definitely one you should at least check out.

Hands down Aliens is my favorite film of all time. If you look at the film from a story standpoint it's an involved tale throughout with solid plot progression, great character development (especially with regards to Ripley), and a few surprise plot twists. If you examine it from the angle of quality (sets, props, etc.) the film is a solid gold winner with completely believable weapons, building sets, and technology. The acting was fantastic. And let's be frank...the action scenes really add to the whole experience rather than detract from the film as many other films (I'm looking at you, Matrix trilogy ).
If you haven't watched the first film you really should as it'll explain Ripley's reluctance to head back and confront the source of her terror. As a secondary recommendation, if you haven't already, I'd suggest watching the Extended Edition of Aliens. The added scenes bring the film out more, although the extended scenes of pre-infestation Hadley's Hope do tend to lower the suspense a little bit of the Marines exploration of the facility a tad. And the Remote Sentry Gun scenes are worth the price of admission.

Thanks Shadowlander, I just reserved Predator from my library. As for Aliens, it is a great action/sci-fi/horror. The Director's Cut is definitely superior to the theatre release but the original Alien was better than it's Director's Cut, which just dragged a bit too much, added nothing to the movie and lessened the scares by showing more of the alien, more often.

It's a documentary about a guy who ate fast food for a whole month. Just to see how much the food we eat affects your body. It seems pretty interesting.
