I don't think they did. That Emma was from 1996; Miss Austen Regrets was much more recent. Most of the aging was probably natural, although the severe hairdos probably made her look even older than she is - I saw some pictures from the (I think) currently-running TV show Dollhouse, and in my opinion she looks better there than she does in Miss Austen Regrets. But yeah, she's definitely aged some since Emma (as have we all ).
Her name is Olivia Williams, by the way.

Ah thanks, I had no idea what her name was . Yeah I guess Emma was awhile ago and since Miss Austen Regrets is like 2008 or something, that would make her 12 years older...wow it's been a long time since that movie was made . I guess the aging is natural then, although she does look a little older than she should, or I would think she would...*shrugs*
I've always liked the Jurassic Park series, although I've never read either book. I've heard they strayed a little though, and the third one wasn't even based on a book.
Left Behind and it's sequels were really good too, but again haven't read the book.

My parents took us to see Jurassic Park 1 when we were little, my sister was like only one at the time , but I guess she sat through the whole thing. It shows now because she's liked dinosaurs ever since then. I like the first one the best.
The Value of myth is that it takes all the things you know and restores to them the rich significance which has been hidden by the veil of familiarity. C.S. Lewis
The Jurassic Park series is good, except for the second one. I have both Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III on DVD.
I read the two Michael Crichton books a year or so ago. Jurassic Park was better as a movie than a book while The Lost World was better as a book than a movie.

honestly I'd have to say I liked the second one the most, granted they're almost on top of each other on my favorite movies list.

The first JP was definately one of the best movies of its time. The suspense and action were great. The story was well done and the music was epic. And to top it off, Stephen Speilburg got smart and used the timing of the sudden strike of Hurricane Iniki to film some of the storm shots in the film.
The second was was bad in comparison and while the third was better, it simiply couldn't compare. Plus they made the velociraptors way too smart in the third.
Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.
Miss Austen Regrets sounds really good (with a title like that, how could it not be?). I've not made an effort to see Becoming Jane because it just seems kind of silly, but I'll have to check out that one.
When I saw Jurassic Park, it was so scary and suspenseful I had to leave the room and couldn't finish it. I was 17 years old. Those kind of movies just aren't my cup of tea^^
Plus they made the velociraptors way too smart in the third.
I disagree, dromeasaurids, including velociraptor and utahraptor, are considered to be among the smartest of the dinosaurs. Secondly as highly social animals they would need to communicate with each other, which was depicted well in the film. Take a look at wolves and some modern birds- like raptors, parrots, or ravens. In general the more social an animal, the more developed it's problem solvig behavior and communication. So despite making them 10 times larger than they actually were, I'd have to say the did a pretty good job with them in the third film.

I love the first, and really like the third.
I have all 3 on DVD but because I bought them as a set. Though I'd be more than willing to get rid of the 2nd, which I hated.
We had a babysitter once who let me and my sister watch the first Jurassic Park when I was 5 and she was 3. Needless to say, we had nightmares for WEEKS afterward. My mom was NOT happy. (We never had that babysitter again, in case you were wondering. )
I haven't been inclined to see the movie since . . .
P.S."Brooklyn!"
Rising_Star, hmmm. Yes, I think Jurassic Park is a very good movie but I don't think anyone under 10 years old should watch it (unless they don't get scared easily).
Jurassic Park is great fun, The Lost World is quite good and Jurassic Park 3 is a travesty of nature - it was awful (you could tell there was no script).
Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11
Actually I was eight when I first saw The Lost World and it didn't bother me, but that's probably cause it was about dinosaurs and I like dinosaurs. Some things I still can't watch with out getting creeped out, like stuff about aliens attacking the earth, crop circles, or chupacabra.

It is really good, you should watch it . I haven't seen Becoming Jane either but I haven't seen a trailer or anything so I can't say what I think I will think about it but I requested it recently from the library, just in case I ahve time to watch a movie this week
has anyone ever seen the movie "Flipper" (Elijah Wood, Paul Hogan, 1996)? it's awesome! it's sort of a remake of the original TV series of Flipper!
