I made some graphics of The King's Speech. I will admit that I was kind of enamored with the wallpaper in this movie. That love is reflected in these avatars.

Thank you Ithilwen. That last one uses a very simple technique. I used the last 3 steps in this tutorial except I just used black and white to draw on a new layer, blur it and set to soft light. That lets me control the high and low lights.

I really like #9 of your batch and the first signature. Lovely!

I took a shot at your request PotC request, StarAsterisk. I like Phillip and Syrena a lot, too. So I made some avis as well as the sigs. I'm sorry there's not a lot of variety - I might make some more later... And please don't feel like you have to use one!

That pic is crazy hard to crop if you want both of them in the avi... I found a crop I like and stuck with it!

God's Girl Here's my first batch for your request. I'm sorry it took a little while, I was a bit busy this week. There are still some more I want to make, but I wanted to put these out so as not to keep you waiting. I should have the rest out by tomorrow evening.

Aww, thank you! Do you mean the lighting on the 1st and 4th avvies? Or sigs? I'm going to guess avvies, since the 1st and 4th sigs don't really have a lighting effect.

It's pretty simple. You make a black fill layer, paint a white spot on it, apply Gaussian blur, and set it on screen and adjust it to the percentage you want. Then you move it where you want. You can also add little spots around the white spot (like blue, yellow, or pink), before adding the Gaussian blur. That sometimes adds some character to it.

Ooh, thank you! I know I wasn't the person who asked it but I've been wondering that too. I've seen it on your graphics for awhile and I was just going to ask you how to do it. I've tried to do something similar on some of mine but it never worked quite right. I just painted white on a transparent layer and blurred it with the blur tool. It looked ok but never quite how I wanted it. I just tried your method and it worked great. I always like learning new techniques so thank you very much for teaching me something new!
