I only have met my friends that I helped get on to nw
Co-founder - NW for HP & The Missing Club
I have not met any a narnia webbers that I know of, but I hope to meet some at my lion party.
PM me if you would like be part of a Lion Party in the state of New York!
As far as I know, I haven't met any NarniaWebbers yet. (That will change after the Lion Party) I sometimes feel like I'm missing something since I haven't. At least I'm not the only one who hasn't.
Hmm...There are lots of people I'd like to meet:
icuras
glumPuddle
Pattertwig's Pal
Glenstorm the Great
fantasia_kitty
bother Eustace
gymfan
Dr. Elwin Ransom
Rillian
coracleand pretty much everyone else.
Wow, I made it on someone's list. I feel honored. You are on my list too.
As for NarniaWebbers, I would like to meet. I think I would be pretty happy meeting any other NarniaWebber. I definitely want to meet my fellow BC members and I suppose the WC members as well. Also anyone one I've had extensive PM conversations with. Oh and the NarniaWebbers who were talking about getting together a board game day (Too bad distances were too big).
For those of you who have met other NarniaWebbers (not family members or close friends ), were you nervous?

PP, I was somewhat nervous- but not nervous in the bad sense. I suppose excitedly anticipating it was a better word. I think the more one meets people in real life whom we've gotten to know online first, the easier it is. It's all part of the excitement, I think. And once you get talking, the nervousness goes away pretty fast.
Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.
(Robert Louis Stevenson)
Pattertwigs Pal, I definitely had major butterflies in my stomach, but more from anticipatory excitement than nervousness, [edit] especially after the first couple of times passed so positively). [end edit] It really is so special meeting those you have come to know quite well online.
I definitely want to meet my fellow BC members and I suppose the WC members as well.
Re the WC ... hahaha! Well, I should hope so. Like Fanny mentioned, though, once you get chatting (and I have found there to be no problem carrying on a conversation with any NWebbers I have met), it's like you're ol' relaxed buddies.

Being nervous is certainly understandable. I remember the KC Lion Party for LWW as the first time I met other NarniaWebbers. It was a long drive down there full of excitement and anticipation...and some nerves. But it took only moments for that to be dispelled once I met everyone. NarniaWebbers are truly special people!
The meetings since then have been met with straight anticipation and excitement!
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
About a year after I joined. December of 2009,I went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science and met Starkat and Peterpevensie there and we went through the Narnian exhibit together. It was a planned meeting. As many Narniawebbers who could get there on that day did. I was quite nervous when going to meet them but after I met them all that went away. We must have talked for at least 2 to 3 hours after we went through the exhibit. I now live in Colorado, though. Also, I knew Urnus before he joined. In fact, he probably wouldn't have joined unless I told him about Narniaweb, and harped about how awesome it was day and night.
Note to Pattertwigs' Pal: You are on my list of Narniawebbers I would like to meet, if I made a list. But if I made it a list it would be really long because it would have every Narniawebbers name on it.
There are several eI would like to meet (I havent met any so far)
Like Lady Courage, Quinlin, Wisewomen, Eustace+Jill, Narnian Badger and soo many others
Im not inactive just very very busy

Wisewoman embodies one of my favourite Shakespeare quotes. It's from A Midsummer Night's Dream. "Though she be little, she is fierce." She's a lot of fun to be around though. Always good for a snarky chuckle
In fact. . . all of the NarniaWebbers that I've met are just plain fabulous people.
My current list is:
Princess Rosario
Stardf29
Dr. Elwin Ransom
Linatariel
Wisewoman
Johobbit
Shastastwin
Meltintalle
Kingskid
Valiant_Lucy
Ramagut
Stargazer
I'll ditto what Jo said on the previous page. It takes years to get to know people well enough in a public setting like this. Everybody should be a bit leary when meeting somebody they met over the internet. Even if that person is met on NarniaWeb. I joined back in early 2005, and didn't meet my first NarniaWebber until Labour Day weekend 2008.
Lion Parties are a great way to meet fellow NarniaWebbers! I guarantee you that if you attend one, you will have a great time, and will start building those friendships. NarniaWeb friendships are just so much more special, as there is a sort of deeper level. Something just beyond the surface that can't be seen or felt, but that is there the whole time.

It's nice to hear about all of the positive experiences (especially since I just got back from a class on online predators and cyber bullying ). I've had emotions ranging from terrified to excited (and sometimes both at once). I don't think anything will go seriously wrong; I'm more terrified that I won't have the nerve to say anything, which would totally defeat the point. I don't usually talk in groups of people until I'm really comfortable which usually takes a couple of meetings. I feel much better after reading people's replies to my question. I would think my love of Narnia and /or my outrage at changes to the movie would be enough motivation for me. Now I've mostly settled on nervous.
Re the WC ... hahaha! Well, I should hope so.
I smiled at your response. Nice choice for the first smilie. It would be fun to get the BC and WC together sometime.

Pattertwigs_Pal, I'm usually the same way. On my first encounter with mods back in 2008 (Princess Rosario and Stardf29) I felt so anxious and worried that we had nothing to talk about. But then I actually met them, and it was as if we had known each other for years. Then I realised. . . we had.
It's very hard to be bashful around NarniaWebbers.

Well, I've had the irrational fear that you might be an online predator, so I guess those sorts of thoughts just come and go.
I think what I'm more nervous about is seeing other Narniawebbers' faces for the first time. I'm hoping that the initial meeting won't be awkward, since I'm pretty sure that the conversation that follows will be OK. It'll be fun to see who's behind the smilies.
Movie Aristotle, AKA Risto
I don't even know if I've posted here, but...I know The Bulgy Bear and NarnianProfessor. I've never met anyone else, though...
I'd like to meet pretty much any one of you guys, though. There are no Lion Parties in my area, either! Someday, though...

Rats, you figured me out. Now, I'll have to find some other prey.
(Obviously, my response is not meant to be taken seriously. If required, I can produce background checks. )
I mean to respond to the following quote in the Reading group but it was closed before I had a chance.
Usually I pretend to be a middle aged man with a receding hairline to cover up the fact that I'm six foot four, 23, blonde, with a six back, blue eyes and a beach tan.
*wonders if she should worry about co-hosting a Lion Party with this person.*

I'm nervous about that too and hope the initial meeting won't be awkward. I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one who is nervous. (If I don't seem to be talking much and if you feel comfortable doing it, make me talk. I'm sure I'll have plenty to say (after the movie at least) but I'm not sure how much of it will make it to my mouth. )

This also is nice to hear and makes me less nervous.

I havent met any Narniawebbers (except for my sister but that doesnt count). I don't know how you all have met. Is it akward to meet another narniawebber?
I probably won't ever meet anyone but if I did it would have to be after I gradutate.
Despite differences, I would actually be most interested in meeting the mods. Maybe glumpuddle also.
