My favorites are shine, and that mega mix on the Shine hits CD. Have you heard there new CD with the new lead singer? Ok so back to the violin Have you ever been in an orchestra. I started in my school orchestra and I love it! I have met many really great people. I want to learn how to play cello too, and the mandolin, and the clavichord! I love old style music!

ya shine is cool too. I've heard some of the songs from the new CD but don't have it yet. Orchestra? No, but my sister was for a long time. mandolin is cool because it has all the same strings as a violin. my bro-in-law plays mandolin.

Lady Lilliandil, I used to play classical, but i don't much anymore. As for the sheet music im not the best reader and just usually play by ear. But looks like narnian_at_heart posted a site that might help. i like a lot of bands, like Newsboys, Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp etc. I want to get in a music group at some point.
I have looked but there is not much for violin.
Yea, I noticed that there wasn't a lot. There's more for like piano or guitar because those are more widely played instruments and since most songs are played on those two instruments, there's (naturally) music written for them. Sorry!
narnian_at_heart, it's all good. it actually helped me find something else that id been looking for haha.

dryad_daughter7, I have a Fender Affinity Stratocaster. I like the body and sound of stratocasters, but they don't generally have much sustain (how long the sound lasts after a strum, in case you didn't know). Mine doesn't have very good pickups, so I would recommend reading reviews for and playing any guitar you want to buy.
And make sure the pick guard is attached well I had to fix that on mine.

I have two acoustics, two electrics, one acoustic electric, one bass one keyboard and a drum set.
I like classic rock and jazz. And I play this along with some alternative and metal.
I've learned to play the guitar since I was two because my dad is a professional musician. He opened up for bands like Warrant and Depeche Mode in the 80's but never toured.
My boyfriend is teaching me the bass at the moment. I'm still learning the key board and i learned to play the drums when i was 12, a friend at a church I was going to at the time helped me learn it.
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!

I would like to learn how to play some day as I've never tried before. I want to try both acoustic and electric. Do you play them the same way? Are there any differences?

Thanks for the tip I really appreciate it! Thanks a lot!
Also Wolfloversk there's definatly a difference. The electric is more for rocking out! And the acoustic is more for calmish type of music. But anything you can do on an acoustic you can do on an electric, you'll just get a different sound. Hope that helps!!

wolfloversk: Acoustic guitar is a lot more versatile, especially if you have an acousitc-electric (for anyone who doesn't know, that is an acoustic guitar that can plug into an amp). Almost anything you can do with an electric, you can do on an acoustic. What style do you want to learn?
dryad_daughter7, no problem
