Personally, I wouldn't waste my time or gold on the Obelisk of Incineration. I just used the Obelisk of Slumber to earn enough money to craft ACRONYM. It worked fine for me, so that's what I'll advise for you ;).

And so far, the Stoneworker mouse has poised the greatest amount of difficulty to the Gorgon's Evil Eye. With only 6/24 hunts ending successfully in capture (that's a 25% catch rate), he has been the most difficult yet. Next up, the very creepy looking Fetid Swamp Mouse.

EDIT: And now for the Fetid Swamp Mouse. This formiddable creature only had a catch rate of 5/24 (which is 20.8%). This leaves only the Primal Mouse to go before all of my havarti cheese are gone. That's when we'll get some really good stats ;))

So of all the hilarious things, I won the Daily Raffle and am now the proud owner of an Icy Rhinobot. :)) (They give away the skin, and I just happened to already have the trap.)

I think I would have preferred to win SuperBrie, but this is pretty fun too. So thank you everybody for sending me daily raffle tickets. :D

So I'm back to using two browsers. Chrome because I prefer it.... IE because I downloaded the snazzy MH toolbar, which besides a helpful countdown and ability to sound the horn anywhere online-- gave me 10 SB+. Not that I'm going to use it right away, in the Mountain. Just good to have around for rainy days. I'm having pretty good results... spent over 100k yesterday on something I'm forgetting. Maybe charms and cheese (I bought a ton of Swiss and Brie). Anyway, I'm content to stay in the Mountain and stock up on money.

Slowly but surely making my way to the next ranking.

If you want super-brie, but don't want to pay for it, take some of the MH Surveys. Given, there are times when you get "Screened out" of the survey so to speak, and these times are quite frustrating; however, if you complete a survey (which usually takes about 25 minutes) you'll get anywhere from 28-36 Super-Brie + The Lucky Golden Shield. That's the way that I get my SB+, and I currently stock 156 pieces ;)).

I know that I'm probably boring people with the stats for the Gorgon Trap, but a lot of the upper-ups wanted to know whether or not I had beginner's luck, or whether a decent catch rate in the Jungle of Dread is sustainable using this trap.

Here are the final stats:
Magma Carrier: 7/18 (38.9%) (17.51% Catch Rate Estimate)
Chitinous: 5/18 (27.8%) (18.88% Catch Rate Estimate)
Jurassic: 8/24 (33.3%) (18.88% Catch Rate Estimate)
Stonework Warrior: 6/24 (25.0%) (22.18% Catch Rate Estimate)
Fetid Swamp: 5/24 (20.8%) (22.42% Catch Rate Estimate)
Primal: 8/24 (33.3%) (22.42% Catch Rate Estimate)

Overall Catch Rate: 39/132 (30%)

A 30% Catch rate is a lot better than the original estimates given to me either be other players who had already been through the JoD. It's also better than furoma

WILD! I'm hunting with the clockapault +spellbook in the Jungle of Dread and out of 6 pieces, I caught 4 Chitinous mice. That's a HUGE catch rate. I think I'll stick around here for a bit and see how long this streak lasts. ;))

That's really cool DiGs. :) I haven't been to the JoD in a long, long time, but I know since I've been there, they made Fire Salt a 100% drop off of the mice there. It didn't used to be at all. So maybe they tweaked the catch rates as well and nobody has updated their numbers? Either way, that place used to be horrible so I'm glad to see that it's not as bad as it used to be. :)

So I'm hanging out waiting for FBF to start in 15min, and I already learned something new just watching the chat. That unfinished building next to the King's Gauntlet was supposed to be a Tournament Hall or something like that. Not sure if you have to go there to sign up for tournys or actually play tournys from there (which would kind of defeat the purpose) or what, but that's cool. I hadn't known what that was for. :)

I need 1 more piece of scrap metal and less than 60,000 gold before I can craft the Huntington! :) So I'd say I'll be able to craft it late tonight or maybe tomorrow. :D New place! Yay!

I had to move back to the Catacombs, because I ran out of Ancient cheese, but my final rune count was 49. :) Not too bad for the time I was there, though.

Feedback Friday was short and sweet today. REALLY short. ;)) The recorded part was maybe 5 minutes long. :)) Here are their next four things on the agenda.

~Baron area, done and in Beta. If it makes it through Beta, it will be in the game. Kat, they said that there is going to be a requirement of some kind to get into this area, but if you're already at this level, it should be something we've completed already and we shouldn't have to do anything special.

~Mousehunt birthday party. The actual birthday for Mousehunt is March 7th so we'll be seeing an event around/on that date.

~Charm pack 2 will be released into the game.

~Groups and parties will be added back into the game (though tournys are still a ways down the road). I actually managed to slip in my first question ever as to how many people will be in a group or party (it used to be four but a long time ago they were saying they may change it and it could be as many as 20). Their answer was that they don't know yet. ;))

So I'd say I'll be able to craft [the ship] late tonight or maybe tomorrow.

Very cool Chloe!! :D

my final rune count was 49.

I would say that was a very profitable run. Particularly since very few people actually start farming for runes until after they're finished with the Tribal Isles and are ready to go after the Acolyte Mouse. :)

Yay, a new event! :D Hehe.

Hmm, new charm pack. :) I don't use charms, but I'm still curious as to what they are and what they'll look like! :)

Oh, I have a question. :)

I have about 139 pieces of Nori (from the festive boxes)...and since I've already complete the Dojo, do I need them? Or can I just sell them back? I know it won't bring me much of a profit, but a little extra gold never hurts!

Eh, I figure you would probably be safe in selling most of them back. I'd hang onto a few just in case you need to head back to the dojo in future, but selling back at least 100 of your Nori isn't going to hurt anything IMHO.

There is a place I could see you using it for Chloe, and that's if you decide to craft the Onyx Mallet Trap (which I would recommend for the Derr Dunes), you'll need the Nori for more Sucheese.

Also make sure that the traveling cost doesn't outweigh the amount of money you get back for the Nori. ;)) Otherwise you'll lose more money than you get back.

Hmm, maybe I'll hang onto it for the time being, then. But, I actually have to go to the Training Grounds GS to pick up some Splintered Wood for the Huntington. I wasn't planning on making the trip just to sell the Nori. :)

Well, I just got 2 more pieces of scrap metal, so now all I'm waiting on is gold!

*needs scrap metal* Stop dropping coal you Scavenger Mice! I am determined to craft ACRONYM by the end of the day. I just need one more scrap metal. Just one. Hear that, Scavenger Mice? ONE. And then you are all going down.

I'm a little frustrated right now. Can you tell? :p ;))

I am trying to decide what I need to do after I craft my ACRONYM. I need to craft the ship at some point, right? I'll need about another 400 splintered wood for that so I'm thinking I'll head over to Whisker Woods for awhile and catch a bunch of Treeants. And maybe go after the Cherry Mouse while I'm at it. I don't really feel like spending all my hard-earned gold on splintered wood right now, although I'll probably change my mind in the time it takes to catch that many Treeants. ;))

And I still haven't crafted the Onyx Mallet. I've got ten Onyx stones right now (nine once I craft ACRONYM), so I don't need a whole lot more. It just gets a little frustrating going back and forth between the levels.

I think it's going to be more or less mind-numbing to try and collect all of that splintered wood. It will take you forever, DOTK. It's pricy to purchase it, but it's better than waiting around forever (at least that's my opinion).

Well if dotK's collecting wood on top of catching a Cherry Mouse, I think that's a great idea. But I do agree that if you try to farm all 400 pieces of wood, that's gonna take a while and not save you THAT much money. ;))
