Congrats wolfloversk!
What do you think of that mouse? It wins the "weird mouse" award out of all the mice in the game.
Anyways, I caught several zombot mice and moved back to the Fiery Warpath. I seem to be having worse luck this time leveling up. I'm in wave two and I've only gone up 4 percentage points toward Baroness. Does leveling slow as you get closer to the next rank? I was at 22% after completing all four waves the first time.
So I didn't participate in the weekend event too much. The devs stated last FBF that they were almost done with the next area in the Sandtail Desert and I didn't really need King's Credits too badly. (Watch, they'll add a bunch of new stuff to buy now.)
So I headed back to the Fiery Warpath and finished up another Victory but no trap piece. However, I found somewhere on the forums that excluding your first victory where a trap piece drop is a guarantee, the drop rates are about 1/6.... and I now have 1/6. So statistically, I'm due for another trap piece to drop again.
As of this morning, I'm well into Wave 1 with the Scout mice just about finished up. 35-3-35.

I would imagine that the majority of leveling comes from wave 3. There are a lot more mice and they're harder. It'd be like catching a bunch of White Mice in the Town of Gnawnia vs catching Zombie Mice there.
I actually did quite well in the weekend event. I managed to get 22 King's Credits! So I was quite happy! I'll probably hang onto them for a while, as there's nothing I really need insanely urgently. We'll see how things pan out in the near future.
In the meantime, I've headed back over to the SG. It's summer in there right now, and I'm having a much more difficult time than I did in Spring. It's kind of a three steps forward, one step back kind of thing with this amplifier, but I have managed to catch all of the summer mice, and am sitting with an amplifier of 126%.
I'm also pulling in a heafty profit. I've got almost 800K in gold right now, which begs the question: What should I buy next? Should I buy a pawn pincher, or should I buy ZFM? I know that the upper ups have answered this question before, but I forget the answer

The Super Briefs are a must-have for any mousehunter.

You're gonna love fall.

Doesn't really matter. But I would suggest one pawn pincher and ZFM rather than both pawn pinchers and then ZFM. Cause that way you can at least do one-sided tower runs while saving up for the other pawn trap.
Oh, and a belated congrats to all of the Mousehunters who caught the Zombot for the first time at the weekend event.
Well, in between all of these events I've been hanging out in the Tribal Isles collecting seeds for peppers and trying to rack up some points so I can craft the Rhinobot. I don't like the Derr Dunes, but the Elub Shore and Nerg Plains aren't bad.
The Zombot mouse is a little...um...creepy? strange? just-plain-weird-looking?
I'm now a Master!! I've been hunting in the Mountain for several days now and still haven't caught the mouse with the map piece. I did run out of cheese while on a camping trip though. But that was just last night.
Anyway, I'm going to keep hunting here because I want to catch that mouse unless it's gone by now and I need more splintered wood to build the Dehydration Base.
Nice! Congratulations N_a_H!!!! I hope you get your supplies soon!
DOTK: I agree, Derr is a pain in the rear. I always loved hunting the Nerg, because they seem to just leap onto your trap . Derr just obliterate everything in their sight.
FK: Thanks for the advice. Along those lines, I've went ahead and purchased the Technic Pawn Pincher trap. I would have liked to have gotten ZFM first, but I need 38 million points before I can craft it, and i only have 36,500,000-ish
Here's another question for the upper ups: Did any of you buy the Seasonal Base from Ronza's Last visit? I'm using it in the garden (loving it too by the way!!!), but the extrra power boost that you recieve from using it isn't appearing in the HUD. It's only on the trap selector tab. I don't know whether or not it affects a trap's power, but I'm getting tired of seeing it. If you guys bought it, are you having this problem too?

Well I'm having technical difficulties again It won't work on either IE or Chrome mousehuntgame.com seems to work though...

Yes, yes he is.

I agree as well. At least now, they've added the Enraged Rhinobot which should REALLY help if you can survive the pain and suffering long enough to get to it.
I'm now a Master!!
Congrats!! And good luck getting your map piece and supplies!
@DiGs, in regards to your question, I never used the Seasonal Base much, so I never noticed. But since they added traps, bases, and charms into the game with "special bonuses" I've noticed a lot of inconsistencies with how it's displayed, both in the HUD and in the trap description.
For example, here is one of the charm's descriptions used in the Fiery Warpath.
Warpath Scout Charm
Power: 0
Power Bonus 0%
Attraction Bonus: 0%
Luck: 0
Cheese Effect: No Effect
The Warpath Scout Charm increases the chances of encountering a mouse of the Scout type in the Fiery Warpath.
So, I know it increases the attraction of a Scout Mouse, but I have absolutely no idea as to how much... it doesn't show up anywhere because all of the stats reflect on all of the mice... not just one. It's actually something that's been bugging me for a while and perhaps I'll take the time to make a suggestion on the MH forums to fix it.
I need 38 million points before I can craft it, and i only have 36,500,000-ish
I know I kind of steered you away from doing a Tower run before you get ZFM, but if the only thing you need is points, the Tower is the place to get them. Those mice are worth crazy amounts of points, even if you don't complete a run. And who knows? Maybe you'll get really lucky with Rewers.
But on the other hand, between needing all of the gold to buy the materials for ZFM and getting the other two seasonal key parts, you may hit the points requirement first.
@wolf, I always have to ask, have you checked the MH forums for the known bugs? Cause sometimes they include fixes as well.
I'm curious as to what kinds of issues you're having. There are only two that I know of on Chrome right now (cause I'm having them too). First is that the countdown timer stops running if MH isn't the active tab. I found a solution to this by opening the game in a new window instead of a new tab. Works great then. The refresh button will also fix it.
The other (since you mentioned that it's working fine on MHG.com) is that sometimes the pages only load about a third of the way down the page. But that's a Facebook error and it shows up in all of the browsers I use. This one doesn't happen on MHG.com.
So, this is kind of funny cause I just ran over there to take a peek at the known bugs and found this one, so here you go DiGs....
Area Specific Base Power Display Issue
There is an issue with the power not displaying correctly for special bases - this is a display issue only and does not affect hunting. A fix is being worked on.
Though I'll tell you which is the most annoying of all bugs I'm seeing right now, and it's one my husband is constantly encountering on Firefox....
Changing Logs
Occasionally you may get a hunt that changes - this is caused by double or triple hunts/trap checks. The first one is a fake the last one is the real hunt. No extra cheese is removed for these fake hunts, they are just ghost journal entries.
AKA, you catch a mouse, hit refresh, and oh! sorry! you didn't catch that mouse after all and he stole 14 pieces of cheese instead. Glad it's his account and not mine cause it's REALLY annoying.
*continues to progress rapidly through Wave1* 34-0-2 Maybe I'll make it to Wave 2 tonight.
That's a nasty bug, FK! I use Mozilla and have never experienced it (to my knowledge at least ).
I'm glad that it's being worked on, and I'm glad that the differences isn't going to hurt me. It seemed like it might have had an effect on my catch rate, but that must have been a coincidence .
Having caught all of the mice in Summer, I've headed over to the catacombs. My amplifier sits at 135%, and so I doubt I'll have any trouble filling it before I head into the tower (which I guess will be early next week). Fall starts tomorrow at noon; I'm curious to see how my cackle lantern trap will do in there

@FK yep that's the problem, It's only loading about a third of the way down. I have the timer problem too... but I just hit the camp button again.

Mousehunt never works on my facebook. I try every so often and it loads all the way, but every time I hit the "Sound Horn" button, it says "Unable to sound horn, headed back to camp". So I rarely even try anymore. I just go straight to the mousehunt website and it works just fine.
A ninja mouse just stole a piece of cheese from me! I wonder if maybe my trap isn't strong enough for him. I currently have the explosive base and the swiss army knife trap.
Hmm, that should be strong enough. According to furoma.com your current setup gives you a 62.65% chance of catching him. So just be patient

Could you link to where you find that out? I'd love to find out how effective my trap setups are on other mice. I looked around on that site but couldn't really find anything. The site was kind of hard to navigate, in my opinion.

Here you are narnian_at_heart, just enter some of the info it asks for and you are all set
Happy Hunting!
