Second, congratulations to DiGs who got his Winter Mage over the weekend and unlocked Zugzwang's Tower!!
Um. . . yeah. . . about that. I is a stupid rookie . I just entered Zugzwang's tower for the first time. I'd created my Zugzwang's First Move, and I was all fired up and ready to go. I get in here, change my trap to my technic pawn pincher, arm my cheesecake base (I want to give that a try before trying the Wooden base with target), but when I go to change my cheese. . . .disaster.
I realised that I had forgotten to stock up on gouda!!! I only have 30 pieces of cheese (Odd. . . Narniaweb doesn't have a smiley for absolute desloation/despair. . . . This one will have to do ). At any rate, I suppose it's not the end of the world. I've got all summer long to play around with this, finding a strategy that works for me. It'll be spring in the garden soon (sometime today I think), and I'll be able to fill my amplifier very quickly.

Poor DiGs. Yep. It happens. Ah well, you got a first glimpse of ZT, what did you think?
I got my ninth Warmonger early this morning. No trap pieces dropped but that's ok, I got a lot of good charms.
I've noticed that they've really reduced the amount of flameshards you get off of the Warden's though. The first couple times I ran through Wave 4 they gave me 50-70. Now I only get 30-40. Ah well.
I did get enough flameshards to finish the Trapsmith in the Muridae Market, as well as buy another Monger Charm, but I won't have many leftover after that (maybe 10?). So I'm trying to figure out my strategy once again as I want to be sure I have enough flameshards on hand should I get the Oasis Bead.
Speaking of which, there's a pretty strong rumor that this new Zugzwang's area coming up soon is going to be a hydro area. Almost every single one of my family and friends that's in the Warpath with me got the Oasis trap (not that I'm complaining cause I got the Monstrobot and Sphynx ) so they'll all have a pretty huge advantage over me in the new area should it indeed by hydro based.
I could always buy an Oasis Bead off of the Marketplace (it's currently just under 1,500,000) but where's the fun in that?
Ah well, you got a first glimpse of ZT, what did you think?
I actually liked it. Here I was thinking that it was going to be absolutely dreadful, but with only those thirty pieces of cheese I managed to catch all 8 Technic Pawns, 4 Mystic Pawns, 2 Technic Knights, and a Technic Bishop. So. . . that's 11/30 for a catch rate. I don't know how normal that is. . . but it's better than I expected.
At any rate, I did like the way that the cheesecake base performed. I'm going to try again after I refill my amplifier (should take me a few days). I felt really bad leaving the tower as my amplifier was still around 120%. . . but I was out of cheese and so it couldn't be helped.
I had a strange glitch happen to me last night. After leaving the tower, I headed back to the catacombs to earn some cheese-money overnight. I equipped ACRONYM with my MSB and RB cheese. However, when I woke up this morning, ZFM, Cheesecake Base, Gouda, and a Charm were equipped. I only had two pieces of gouda left after my tower run, so that was quickly stolen (particularly as I was using a tactical trap in the catacombs ). At any rate, I made no money, and I was very frustrated!
*sigh*
Spring starts in just over two hours. I'll head over there armed with as much Gouda cheese as I can afford, and we'll see how things go.

Well at the moment I:
-am in the Laboratory
-am nearly broke
-have 40 pieces of swiss equipped
-have 200 pieces of RB
-have 45 pieces of brie
-have 6 RB potions
-am at 24.06% Hero
So besides being practically broke, and leveling up faster than I'd like, I'm doing rather well.

Um. . . if you have 200 pieces of RB, you are not broke . That stuff is money-curd

Well that's good cause I'm down to 117 gold XD Though I'm up to 5 potions and 216 RB. Though I think I'm gonna run out of Brie before I run out of swiss, but that's ok... I can just as easily convert it in the Bazaar or the Catacombs.
If I'm correct I should need a little less than 270,000g to finish my ship, then I want about 700,000-800,000g before I travel there which should cover the Hydro trap with some leftover, plus cheese and travel costs... yeah I'm gonna need that RB

Yikes! If you're that low you might get stranded in the lab . Do you have enough cheese to hunt there until you earn up enough gold to hop over to the catacombs? If not, do you have anything you can sell in the marketplace for a wee bit of cash?
I got my amplifier up to 31% overnight. . . I love spring in the SG

I had about 30 pieces, but if worse comes to worse I can always use Larry's Travels (though it would cost more in the long run) (now realizes why that's in the game )
Let's see where do I stand now...

6,638 g and 18 pieces of swiss... not bad considering where I was

Still in Digby and just under 100 pieces of swiss. I did, however, use a few pieces of Gilded to make it past the 1 million g mark-- again. Yes, I've been here before. The difference now is I won't be making any huge purchases until I get comfortably past the 1m mark. According to my research, I've gotta catch the following mice here in Digby:
Itty-Bitty Burroughs
Lambent Crystal
Miner Mouse
Nibbler
Nugget
Rock Muncher
Subterranean
So I've got plenty of reasons to stay here. Now, cheese, on the other hand.....

That is the EXACT SAME GLITCH that was happening to my husband a while back. It was soooo frustrating. Since we use the same computer to play, I finally started checking his setup via my own friend's list just to make sure he was set up correctly cause that was the only way to double check. I thought they had fixed it cause it hadn't happened for a while now, but I guess not. It had something to do with the on-the-hour catch. Not quite sure what or how, but yeah... very irritating.

I'm not going to necessarily recommend this, but in a pinch you can use RB in the Lab to catch a Monster Mouse. If you do get one, they're loaded with gold.

Six out of seven of the mice you listed are Limelight only mice, the Nibbler is SuperBrie only, so Swiss isn't going to do you much good catching them.
Well, I am officially done constructing all of the buildings in the Muridae Market! Just built the Trapsmith a few hours ago.
I need one thing in the game right now, and that's the Oasis Trap. The other thing I'm keeping my eye on is the Papyrus Base as it's rumored it will be upgradeable soon. The Oasis is the higher priority right now, so I think what my strategy will be is to spend most of my time in the Warpath, but whenever I need cheese or charms, I'll head back to the Market and stay there until I get at least 1 Papyrus. (The Papyrus Base costs 95 Papyrus. ) When and if I get the Oasis, I'll then focus my full attention on the base. At least that's my plan until they release a new area.

Well considering I got my Digby Drillbot and my BBB, Subterranean, Acronym, and Monolith base... I think I'll quit while I'm ahead
Anyway I ran out of brie and I'm down to 11 pieces of swiss. I've also got 11 RB potions, 232 RB and 11,720 g
Oh and in case you all are wondering I started with 200 pieces of brie for converting and 100 pieces of swiss as bait. (Though I guess I should have gone with 250 brie)

I've got my amplifier up to 71%. Again, let me say how much I love spring! I've been in here for just about 40 hours (with very few horn sounds as I've been busy) and I've already got myself up to 71%. The season doesn't change over to summer until tomorrow at 6PM, so I'll hopefully be over 100% by then.
In summer, should I use ZFM or RR? Hopefully, I'll be able to fill my amplifier before fall, which is when I take a wee bit of a hit .

Rewer's is better.
DiGs, did you see Furoma's new and improved Catch Rate Estimate page? It's awesome.
Well, I'm having Commander woes. Simple as that. I'm currently catching about 1 in 4 when using a charm. Particularly annoying as my catch rate SHOULD be 82%. But yeah, nearly every time I equip a Commander's Charm on my past two runs, I attract one, but fail to catch him when he comes by. It's so agitating.
And unlike my last run where I was getting some really nice streaks to make up for it, this time around, I'm not getting very many streaks past 3. (At least I"m getting to 3!) So I'd have to say I'm having my most frustrating run that I've had for a while.
I'm sure it's just my impatience at REALLY wanting to get that Oasis trap before the next area comes out.
Wave 2: 38-0-30-43-20
It could be worse, FK. You could be a measly little Lord, stuck in ZT, with all of that stuff breathing down your neck in addition to the three awesome desert traps, the rebuilding of a whole marketplace, and the impeding threat of another area on top of that
Not to mention the ever-impending feeling that Ronza might be back sooner rather than later.

Incase getting rid of my swiss meant more RB... Anyway I'm in the Catacombs now with 229 RB and 30,744 g
