since i am getting owned by everything, i decided to just buy some cavalry charms and change to my SW, which to be frank i haven't used yet
I really hope i get enough streaks to just simply annihilate everything...1-0-6-40-1...so yeah, if i get a streak of 6 and just use commander, ill obliterate the wave, which is a good idea, after this will be my epic battle with the Warmonger, then im going to Furoma to charge up on some gold, or should i just go Muridae and get a cartographer and charm shop?
Oh well, thats for later
Good luck Wolf on your goals, hope you can achieve them real soon :_
I am having rotten luck in clearing out the last of my archers. I was really hoping to get rid of them overnight, but that didn't happen .

I'll hopefully get rid of them within the next hour. Then I'll probably take on the warriors. If I can get another streak of 5, that would be great, because I could take out those pesky artillery mice.
We'll see how it goes, but either way, I'll probably finish up this warpath run before the end of the week. I'm really hoping that I get another SBM out of this run! If I do, it'll be time to farm gold like mad!

Wow! My goodness, look at all the catching up I have to do since Friday morning.
I missed out again, so I'm going back into the Jungle of Dread
My story was the opposite of DiGs's. While the Nerg Chieftain remains the mouse in the game that I've had the most trouble catching (based on the fact it shouldn't have been hard), the Dragon is the mouse that took me the longest. About 5-6 months to be precise. And while that was partially due to bad luck, it also had to do with the fact that I was an idiot and used all of my early stash of Havarti up with the Portal trap. (Back in the day, the only shadow traps were the two baby portal traps, the worthless Bottomless Pit, and the Clockapult of Time.) So that length of time included my farming gold to buy the Clockapult. And then of course after that I still had trouble catching the Dragon but at least my progress was streamlined.
Long story short, if you don't catch the Dragon soon, you may find that your progress is being crippled by burning through more Havarti cheese than you should and you may want to jump for the Gorgon. Good luck!
Oh, and wolf, congrats on your silver crown on the Sock Puppet.
Anybody having technical problems?
I have noticed the past several the weekends that Mousehunt has a whole lot of server lag. I click the horn and it sits there and sounds for a good several seconds (sometimes up to two minutes) before the page refreshes. Sometimes when the page refreshes the horn is still there and I haven't gone on a hunt. Sometimes I will have gone on a hunt but I'll check a different page and come back and a different mouse is in my journal. I know it's on their end of things because usually when this starts to happen I'll get a 504 Gateway Timeout (or whatever it is). It's really annoying but I just keep on clicking the buttons til it works.
Well. I started playing Mousehunt today.
Can you believe it, I am a rat hunter and I love it!
Welcome to the game both of you!! Ithilwen, if you decide you like it, I'll shoot you some gold to help you get started. And Mother Rose, if you want more Mousehunting friends for gift exchanges or raffle tickets or whatever, let me know and I'll send you a friend invite on Facebook.
And Mother Rose, welcome to NarniaWeb too!
I'm hunting in the Great Gnarled Tree to pick up some mice I missed while the map gets fixed...and then it's off to the Catacombs.
I noticed you were catching new Woods mice all weekend. Best of luck when you head to the Catacombs.
After a generous and longterm loan from my friend who quit MH, i was able to build a SW
Congrats on your Sphynx trap. That'll definitely make those Cavalry Mice easier, and I'm not sure, but I think the Sphynx might do better in the Market than the Crobot.
Since I've got here, I've had 18 trap checks/horn sounds and I've only caught five mice.
Considering your trap, that's actually pretty decent. Or maybe it's completely average. Whatever, it's not a bad catch rate for that location. As I told wolf, it might not hurt to invest in the Gorgon trap just so you're not burning through so much Havarti.
-craft ... the Molten Shrapnel base
Still want to craft it after you've gotten the Jade Base?
or should i just go Muridae and get a cartographer and charm shop?
You may already know this, but in case you don't, you have to build the General Store to build the other two. It's where you get Molten Glass.
I am having rotten luck in clearing out the last of my archers. I was really hoping to get rid of them overnight, but that didn't happen .
Yeah, last night I went to bed needing the Warmonger and ONLY the Warmonger. I figured I'd get him overnight, no problem. But two hunts after I went to bed and he had stolen all of my cheese so I didn't even go on hunts overnight. After buying more this morning, I crushed him.
So my team is being really ambitious today and doing TWO tournaments. The indigenous tournament this morning and then the Mousoleum tournament this evening. I hope my team isn't about ready to kill me doing all of these tournaments. If they are, they haven't told me yet. The good news is that we're consistently doing better. The bad news is that less people are signing up, so it's becoming more and more difficult to place.

Seriously though it has a higher attraction bonus and higher power bonus than either of the jade bases, giving me more options.

I got enough Fire Salt to craft 12 Inferno Havarti (on top of 12 that I already had). Yesterday evening, I went into Dracano and promptly caught the Draconic Warden and Whelpling. This morning, I woke up and discovered that one of my trap checks during the night netted me the Dragon! I headed back to Jungle of Dread really quickly this morning because I missed arming Gouda in there and catching the Swarm of Pygmy mice. So I caught that this morning and now I'm probably going to head into Balack's Cove. I have a lot of Vanilla Beans already: 208 because whenever I had the option to use event coins, I would use them for Vanilla Beans and other crafting stuff. I've heard that Balack is very difficult to catch. I don't even know if 208 will be enough though.
I'm decided to head to Derr really quickly before heading to Balack's Cove. The Mintaka is the only mouse I have left to catch in the Tribal Isles (not including the mice of Balack's Cove) and I'd like to get it out of the way.

I feel like this is the reversal of our situation with the Acolyte... since I'm now having more trouble than you are, but congrats anyways

Thanks, wolf. I hope you get your Dragon mouse soon!
I just noticed hearts and an arrow on my shield so I checked the news. The Valentine's Day event has started.
There's a new mouse (I think it's new. I don't remember seeing it in the mice list before and there's no page for it in the Wiki) called the Forever Alone mouse. The Town of Gnawnia, Laboratory, Calm Clearing, S.S. Huntington II, and Muridae Market are the locations that we're supposed to "head to ... to celebrate" so I'm assuming those are the only places where the Never Alone mouse can be found.
You can also get Valentine's Charms which add 25% attraction bonus from mice in those areas. The event ends on the 16th.
I think I'm going to head to the S.S. Huntington II. It's close and I still have three uncaught mice in that area so I figure I can kill two birds with one stone: get in on the event and knock out a few more uncaught mice.
In other news, I caught the Mintaka this morning! Now, I've caught at least one of every mouse in the Tribal Isles except for Balack's Cove.
In addition to what n_a_h has mentioned, there are loads of tournaments that have been added INCLUDING a Solo Tournament.
@n_a_h, congrats on clearing Dracano, congrats on your Mintaka, and good luck catching the last Aquatic mice that you need.
*Coughtrapcollectorcough*
I figured as much.
FINALLY! Some solo tournies! That makes me SOOO Happy (not that I don't love participating with wolf and dot, but hunting with only three makes it tough to place, and most of the times there's just two of us).
I'll probably participate in one of them tomorrow.
I switched over to Muridae Market in order to nab that new mouse. After that, I'll probably head back to the Warpath as I'm close to finishing up my Warriors.

I already joined one of the solo tourneys... Moved to the Lab... figured if nothing else I could stock up on RB potions while going after Tolkens/Valentine's day mice
@Ithy if you ever want to join a tourney team you're welcome to join ours... But that's up to you

All of the solo tourneys were set to start after my bedtime so I tried (very unsuccessfully) to compete in a two-person tourney. I failed to even attract an event mouse during the first two and some odd hours, so I just dropped out of the tourney. On the upside, I caught two Forever Alone mice before the tourney started. I am moving to the Laboratory to finish out the Swiss cheese I bought in Gnawnia and I hope that will grant me a few more event mice and some RB potions. Then I'll go back to the Cats to finish off my newest batch of RB and then (finally) I will craft my ZFM and settle down in the Seasonal Garden for a while.

I only have 10 cavalry mice left in the wave, thanks to SW, My efficiency has somewhat risen
After this is the challenge for MOnger ok, i shouldn't be so happy cause he is quite tough and so is his bodyguards
GoodLuck Digs
and no, i didnt start on any tournaments cause i want to finish the things right at hand
Anyone besides me doing the Solo Tournament this morning?
I'm set up in the Muridae Market, we'll see how this goes.
(The start has been plagued with severe server lag again on their end. 8min in and I haven't gone on a hunt yet.)
Still farming gold so I'm well stocked when I tackle Balack again. I've moved to the Lab to catch the event mice and farm some more RB potions. Is there a particular trap setup that attracts the Forever Alone mouse?
*hasn't done a tourney in awhile* Class takes up so much time...
