Love the hair cut, MD!! Very cute!
I haven't been combing my hair after I take a shower, lately, which means it's always one big tangle of complete curls. Very pretty, but not flattering, so I usually have to pull part of it back. But I love it.
And I've started to wear eyeshadow . . My sister showed me how to put it on - wet a cuetip, and roll it in the shadow, and then softly apply it. Makes it all sparkly, soft, and pretty. I wore green today - pretty drastic for me!!

Cute cut, Moonlight Dancer! It frames your face nicely. I've been thinking about getting a bob for ages, but I chicken out every time.
I got my ears pierced at Claire's almost six weeks ago, and last night I changed the earrings for the first time. Eep. I sat around for almost an hour just trying to get my courage up, lol. I started out with another set of posts, since they're the easiest to put in, and though the process was a little uncomfortable, it wasn't as painful as expected. Good deal!

Yay Miss R!! I did about the same thing, actually. *snicker* Standing there tentatively, carefully trying to pull the butterfly clip off the back without tugging on the piercing, then oh-so-gently twisting the earring out of place... Except I plunged straight into a pair of dangles. I'm so glad yours weren't too sore!!
You know, one of the reasons I wanted to get earrings was because I really really wanted to be able to see something I liked and be able to just buy it. I'm notoriously hard to fit, so was excited by the prospect being able to do a "one size fits all" sorta thing, besides just hats. Turns out, not all earrings fit me either. *MAJOR facepalm* At least I'm pretty handy with needle nose pliers though. That is an alteration I can do myself.

Thanks guys! Miss Rosario, you should definitely get your hair cut short! I just love short hair, I feel much more stylish with short hair no matter what I'm wearing, and it works especially well because I love to wear big earrings.
Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this, but I'm convinced having short hair makes me look skinnier.
Elanor, I love my hair when it's just out of the shower too. It's alot easier to straighten and style when it's shorter, but I love messing it up and covering it in hairspray.

Lol, Lady Courage! The earring on my right ear came out a lot easier, but the left one took almost twenty minutes of twisting and pulling. Those butterfly clips on the back are sooo hard to get off. Oof, how did the dangles go? Were they hard to get in at all, and were your ears sore afterward?
Oh man, I used to think that too. It's not really the fact that some earrings don't fit me; some just don't go with my face shape. I can't go out and just buy a cute pair of earrings I see without trying them on first. *le sigh*
I had short hair several years ago, Moonlight Dancer, but the girl who cut it was inexperienced. It didn't flatter my face shape at ALL. That's why I'm tempted to try again - after all, short hair is supposedly better on long faces. The one potential problem is that my hair is pretty wavy, so I'm not sure if it would end up poofing out.... I definitely wouldn't want that.
*really loves big earrings as well* They don't always look fantastic on me....but I reallyreally like them.

I love the idea of short hair but I find it harder to manage for myself. I think I look younger with it, and I look young enough with long hair. I did once get it cut in a pixie cut but because it's so thick I ended up looking more like Harry Potter then Emma Watson.
Yay for taking your studs out, MissRosario!! When you get to move into dangly stuff it's soooo much fun!! A whole new world of fashion opens up
Soo..we were talking about tattoos on the previous page. Well, I got mine today!! Yup...it hurt. Felt like a little razor carving into my skin But it was bearable and it was soo worth it because I LOVE it.

This. It's possible, though, that part of my problem is that I never pick the right neckline and/or hairstyle to go with a particular pair of earrings...

Yes they are!! And they are MURDER on painted nails! Not that I have painted nails all that often, but when I do those back pieces almost always guarantee a touch-up job.
Oof, how did the dangles go? Were they hard to get in at all, and were your ears sore afterward?
Well, turns out that first pair, first try, were too narrow for my earlobes. I had no idea lobes could be "too thick" for some types of earrings! So, yeah, they hurt. Getting them in was pretty easy, thanks to the way the hook was shaped, but they pinched quite a bit and left red marks down the lobe. However the weight didn't seem to bother me too badly. I admit, there was a bit of blood at the end of the day, but I think that was because of the un-sanded edges of the wire that scraped across the new skin on insertion, and not because of the weight. Might be wrong though.
At any rate, I applaud you for your caution and patience in waiting! I would not recommend jumping straight to dangles, but was personally too stubborn and excited to try it to let a little possible pain and blood get in my way.

Ah, there's that too. Haven't personally run into that problem yet, but am planning on balancing out the different lengths of earrings by how I apply my makeup. Big, long, heavy on the bottom earrings = naked lips and darker eyes, for example.
On the subject of hair... Moonlight, your hair is adorable. 'Course, I thought it was cute and flattering before too, but the new cut really updates your look and gives you an "edge"- a good edge.
My hair used to be down to my waist, but before we moved back to sweltering Texas, my Mom cut it for me. She's kinda the "hair fashion stylist" of the house and one day asked if I would like a new haircut. She talked me into trying something new and so chopped off about 6-8 inches of hair. She told me that when she showed me how long the locks of hair she was clipping were, my eyes got really big. But in the end, I love it. It's so much cooler and lighter now!
Miss R, you should totally try it again. If you can afford a good stylist, short hair can really help a long face (assuming you're not exaggerating on how long yours is ). Maybe try something with a bit of off-center bangs that hit just above your eyebrow?
At any rate, if you try a new cut, good luck!!

I have a long face too, and I got my hair cut short. It makes me look a bit younger though, and I don't need any help with that! I'm 18 and I look about 15. XD

^ Exactly what I'm afraid of. For the past several years, I've been getting my hair thinned every time I have a cut. Otherwise it's just too much to handle. But I don't have fine hair, and it's really wavy and thick, so.... It's iffy.
Conga-rats on the tattoo! The facebook pictures look amazing!!
This. It's possible, though, that part of my problem is that I never pick the right neckline and/or hairstyle to go with a particular pair of earrings...
That's likely a large chunk of my problem as well. I rarely do anything with my hair - and some earrings just don't look right with it down. Eh. I'm a novice in the world of hair-styling.
Yes they are!! And they are MURDER on painted nails! Not that I have painted nails all that often, but when I do those back pieces almost always guarantee a touch-up job.
Ugh, I KNOW! My nails are always painted. I'm so used to nail polish that my nails look weird to me without it. (I'm not the type for neon colors, though. Usually a nice neutral tone for the fingers, and something more bold for the toes.) After the episode last night, my nails were ruined. Entirely.
Oh my goodness, ouch! Thankfully I haven't had to deal with pinching yet. ("Yet".) I have discovered that my left ear is thicker then my right one, however, so the earring on that side is always harder to get out. Also, because of the way my ears are shaped, I can't wear super heavy earrings. I'm okay with that, though. I don't like the thought of my ears being weighed down very much.
Good point on balancing the earrings with your makeup. *makes a mental note*

I actually asked my mom and sister a few hours ago if I have a long face, and they think it's at a good middle -- more on the long end, but apparently not as much as I thought. *shrug* At any rate, I'll probably just end up asking the stylist what she thinks. They usually know their stuff.

I have a long face too. I just got my hair cut short, like its just barely touching my shoulders. I'm almost 16 and if I wear the right things I can look like I'm 12. I've always looked young for my age but short hair makes me look even younger.
Does anyone have a rather large forehead like me? They bother me soo much because sometimes I dont want hair in my face but I need bangs or else I'll just look terrible.

I want to get a haircut sometime, but I don't know what to do. As usual, I really want to do something totally different, but I have no idea. I usually just get it cut pretty short, with layers, and then it grows out past my shoulders in 6 months or whatever, and then I do it again . . but I'll probably just have 4 inches cut, and then layers starting at the bottom of my ear.
I almost want highlights, but I'm not sure my Mom's ready for that yet. A really light brown, very close to my color now, or a really light red.

^ Elanor, I have had the same problem too. I went though so many different hairstyles and have FINALLY( ) found one that works. If you have a long face, lots of layers looks really great. I have very short hair on the top and then long hair on the bottom. Mine is also very thick, so if you have thick hair something that has a lot of layers will always look good. Oh and the hairstyle has side bangs that you could always replace for full bangs. If you have it done with a razor, it comes out with an edge. If you have it cut with scissors it looks really clean.
I have always wanted to get a beach blond streak in my ash blond side bangs!
